Do you know anyone who changed his or her opinion about health care after hearing President Obama's speech?

The bullshit meter was off the charts durin' this speech...lordy that man is the biggest liar I've ever seen in 67 years on the planet.
If he told me what time it is I'd double check it and bet he lied.
He isn't GOD....not even close so what makes him think he should decide how we live and what we want.

When I tried to get an appointment to see the doctor,for my husband, I was asked if he was on Medicare. When I said yes. I was told that Medicare had told this facililty that they(Medicare) would not pay for any more Medicare patients seen through the facilities Internal Medicine Department. I was told very plainly that this decision had absolutely nothing to do with the facility but everything to do with Medicare. As seniors our health care has already been rationed!

He was, as always, talking to THE STUPIDS WHO VOTED FOR HIM. Only they could swallow that kind of b. s. and lying and think it was good.... It will be hard to get the 53% who voted for him, to admit how stupid they were to vote for this empty suit, whose main goal is TO ORGANIZE AND OVERTHROW THE ENTIRE SYSTEM....

I have never witness a grp like this one in Congress. They lie, and will do or say anything so that they can get total control over our health care. THEY WANT THE
CONTROL. They don't want alternative methods that would work, they just want to take the control of everything in our lives. They feel that they deserve this and will do anything to get that control. right now when they are in control.
They received that control illegally in some states, but who will look into it. The crazy radicals have taken over control and, we have given them that control. Most of the people who are rich in our country Buffett,Soros , movie stars, sports stars that we have allowed to take control- have been waiting for this time.
It is not about the uninsured, the seniors, etc. its about their controlling of our lives and getting a kick about how frustrated we are about it all.

I know 3 people who I watched the speech with that now oppose the healthcare initiative. They actually said they think he lied on several occasions. They were surprised, I wasn't!

Why don't they just come right out and tell the American people the truth. Medicare, medicaid, and Social security are all going broke because of welfare. The Baby Boomers have paid in all these years, but the gov. never put their money in a safe spot. They spent it on everything. Now they need the money to cover the Boomers. They need to get their hands on more of our money any way they can.

Since they took office, they have made many things worse. They will say and do anything to get what they want --- and what they want is power over the people. They don't care what we want. People on welfare and unemployment should be required to work in order to receive their benefits. Our taxes pay for their benefits. Our taxes pay for the state and local government buildings, roads, parks, welfare housing, etc. All people on welfare and unemployment should be required to report to one central location and be assigned a job or sit there all day. They should not be allowed to relax at home and do nothing. They can paint , landscape, repair, clean, government buildings, roads, bridges, parks etc. If they have a skill such as a plumber, electrician, etc., they can make those type repairs to government buildings. When a disaster occurs, they can help clean up, repair, etc. Why give these people our tax dollars for doing nothing. People who are in this country illegally should be sent back to their homeland. American taxpayers should not support them and pay for their healthcare.

I'm a disabled veteran and have served in Germany and England where they have government health care. Theses people are suffering with very poor health care. Except the rich receive top quality health care because they see doctors who are not or will not fall under government controlled health care.

One thing for sure I did agree with the congressman who shouted out "you lie" during Obama's speech. We need more people like that in Congress who can tell it like it is.

I do want health care/insurance reform, but I want it done correctly and not shoved down our throats and against the people's will.

The President seemed confrontational and almost threatening this evening. I think he is a very smmooooottth talker. I don't trust him or his crew.."deceiver" I think fits best. Also, most welfare people already get free care its called MediCal...many are unmarried young girls who get pregnant and live off the welfare system it seems to be a generational curse..draining the system using and abusing it... My father died in March in the VA hospital. They were adament of sending him to the 5th floor where they watch you die. I did not let him go there because their rule was no life saving, only pain medicine, but he died anyway. I would not send him, my mom, or my worst enemy their. This is what Obama's death plan is, and I, as an American want no part of it! We are stupid if we make this America's way of the elderly. Go look on the 5th floor of the VA hosptial in Temple Texas and see if this is what you want for health care.

Re, Robert they do that with all patients over 80 yrs old and on medicare/ medicaid They have had that attitude seeded in the hospitals where they are not paid the full cost of care and they all know it. How many times does your Dr ask what ins you have before he decides what treatment you will get, this happends every day. If someone thinks government health care is the answer , be careful what you wish for, unfortunatly none of our congress or representitives have been at the mercy of a medicaid or medicare only plan.
Regardless of what side you are on the case is still a matter of you get what you pay for so I for one do not want any part of a hand out from the government, even if I have nothing. Since I have insurance I still think it is still the worst waste of my money and we are not even talking about the joke that medicare for my husband and the supplementary ins that exceeds 300. per mo and wont even pay for a yearly physical Remeber MEDICARE IS ran by the Government if they think they can do such a good job they should show us how well they can fix the ponzi scheme called medicare and social security has become. and why if the government does so well they continue with every year soc sercurity has had to extend when you can get it pushing it out further so they can still partially fund it . yet when a person dies prematurely even though they paid into soc security the family only sees 266.00 even if the deceased paid 1000s into the system....... so wheres the $ and where is the waste or fraud ...... If you qualified for a new home owners credit that is more like a loan from the government that will have to be taxed later or counted as income. I might be wrong but they have been taxing social security wages every year at the time when you were earning it and now that you are now collecting soc security payments it is subject to taxes AGAIN... so tell me every time the government touches it it comes out right? Are you kidding yourself. I suggest every one does some serious research, See whats really going on and Vote those out that continue to indenture the citizens to pay for a government that does not honor our constituion or uphold any ethical conduct and obligations to the constituants.

I am a Registered Nurse in Texas who is wholeheartedly against any public health option. I also resent the American Nurses Assoc. coming out in support of Obama this morning on national television. I thought it was terribly misleading because I know more healthcare professionals who are against it than for it. What a set up it was!! Hopefully the country will know that all American nurses are NOT in favor, and will see that this is just another of Obama's desperate attempts to gain favor in a losing battle.

It means, that if someone has “Lied about the program”, that they will be held to account. What did Joe Wilson do? He had the Audacity to call Mr. Obama out on the facts.

Is what Joe Wilson did appropriate? Perhaps not…. but Bye GOD, Wilson has enough American backbone to stand and be counted.

The reason I voted yes is because many more people are waking up now and can see for themselves what an arrogant, self-serving, dictator we have in office.. If he had only come out and said " Okay, I hear what american people are saying." How could anyone believe Obama after hearing him tell untruths for so long

Come on you guys,Obama has not changed one bit. Get your head out of the sand,he hates American people from day one. He told the American people that he was changing the United State and when he is finish we will not be a 3rd world Country. Awake! Awake!!. Call your Congressmen (woman) and Senators and tell them if they vote for health-care or cap and trade they will be voted out of office the next time they run their office.

Go talk to Bobby Rush in Chicago and ask him about this child and what happened at the Chicago Hospital in March of this year. This a great story about the Obama healthcare saga that is taking place now in America.

How come all these la ywers who are now on air hosts can't come up with some way of helping americans get out of this mess. Talk talk talk and writing books. Everyone has sold out. I do give Greta credit I don't recall her hawking a book. So many people writing about this and that problem but no-one really helping real Americans.
And when you call these stations they only want to talk to Liberals. It is a sham. I used to listen and watch Hannity but I got so sick of hearing people waste minutes cajoling him as a great american yadada. Listen to how many times Hannity says I or Me. I listen to Glen Beck now and Lou Dobbs. Fox should try to get Lou He would be great on Fox. Don't know why he wastes his time on that network he is on..
