If Obamas health care is so good why do congress and senate have their own plan that they do not have to give up?

Approximately 70% of what Obama discussed would be agreeable on both sides and are items that need to be addressed to bring health care costs down. The downfalls are as follows:
.. How to commision and fund a health care fund for those who need it is not an insignificant item that can be hashed out later. It needs to be done before a bill is signed.
.. Push your lawyer buddy out of the bed and go after tort reform. They then can stop chasing ambulances and provide some value to this country.
.. Allow companies to provide insurance across state lines. You may not get that fat campaign check for the next election, but you would be looking after the people of this country.
.. Move the criminal union influence out of the government and let them get involved as any other American citizen would.

GREAT JOB PRESIDENT OBAMA FOR NOT STOOPING TO THE ALL TIME LOW OF THE GRANDE OLE RACIST KLAN-EXCELLENT SPEECH.

The white racist kkk party should be very embarrased no matter if you agree/disagree with the president. THE 21% THAT IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AS REPUBLIPIGS ARE SICKENING/SHAME ON THEM.

REP. BROWN REPRESENTS THE UN-AMERICAN PART OF AMERICA.

HE REALLY SHOWED THE TRUE COLORS OF THE GOP....I'M SURE THE MORE INTELLIGENT PART OF AMERICA WAS NOT SURPRISED AT REP. BROWNS 3RD GRADE OUTBURST. WHERE DID THESE GRANDE OLE RACIST PARTY CLOWNS GET THEIR DEGREES FROM.

SCHOOL OF THE KLAN.

KEEP THE CLASS DEMS!

to the previous poster. are you suffering from dementia? what about the frequent outbursts from Dems when Bush was speaking. Only the left is allowed to protest and dissent. Unfortunately for the country "YOU LIE" was the truth.

joe, joe, joe... What are we going to do with you?

Brown's comments were right after he said illegal immigrants would not be covered in the bill. FactCheck.org (University of Pennsylvania) already debunked that myth months ago, but the lunatic's on the right still seem to believe it does.

So joe, if you actually watched the speech last night, you would have known Brown was clearly in the wrong. I know you right wingers love to talk before learning, but please try learning before you speak. It's growing very tiresome.

It takes a long time to turn a big ship. Improving health care for all cannot be done this quickly. I have never seen such high expectations for cost cutting turn into "savings". We are expecting Medicare premium increases to far exceed Social Security cost of living increases. What then? Medicaid for ALL seniors?

For those of you who think that you'll be able to keep your current insurance plan, don't be shocked when your company (or governmental agency) stops offering that plan because it's cheaper for them to only offer the public option. There will be no incentive for your company to continue paying a percentage of your health insurance.
