Do you think complaints over President Obama's speech to students were warranted?

I don't understand why the conservatives were so upset about the President's speech. What do they mean? The President have a motive to the children. It is sad to know people are judging him by the color of his skin . Everything, Mr. Obama is trying to do. The conservatives are twisting our President's words around. The conservatives do not have a clue how the middle and low-income family are going through. People are losing their jobs. There are those (like myself) former employers refused to let the former employees have their unemployment benefits. Also, there are no health care coverage for us . The cash for clunkers benefits the conservatives than the liberals. Racism is very much alive. The sheets had been removed and they are wearing suits.

Parents were concerned when it was reported that the White House had furnished a lesson plan that would have the schoolchildren write a letter to Obama on what they could do to support him. That's creepy. When THAT came out, the White House backed off the assignment. Want to get really creeped out--watch the "I Pledge" video that was shown in some schools last week. When Bush Sr spoke to schoolchildren in 1991 Congressional Democrats ordered a probe and Bush was BLASTED on the front page of the Washington Post for pulling a "political stunt". The hypocrisy of the LEFT is never-ending.

HUNTER DAN, HUNTER DAN.... CLOSED MINDS ALWAYS HAVE THEIR MOUTHS OPEN. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT. THE LESSON PLAN ASKED CHILDREN WHAT THEY COULD DO TO HELP THE PRESIDENT. MEANING TELLING THEM WHAT THEY WANT FOR THEIR SCHOOLS, FAMILIES, AND OTHER ISSUES THEY MAY BE FACING.

The FACTS are that the original controversial lesson plan was shelved. If it was innocent and not controversial-that would not have happened. Viewers can google "controversial lesson plan" and read for themselves and make up their own minds. The FACTS are that the liberal Democrats started a probe when Bush Sr spoke to school children in 91 and there was NO lesson plan. Viewers can google and verify that FACT as well. You can keep swallowing the Obama kool-aid---for me, I CAN'T.

OK...so maybe the lesson plan was weird, however, it is amazing to me that some people are so against the President. We have a faction of people that are just as racist as they were in the 40's, 50's, and 60's, they are just able to hide it a little better.....until, Obama became President. Then all of the Klan robes came out of the closet and got dusted off. I remember during the campaign there was a woman that said she would never vote for Obama because he may "be mad about slavery" That is the reason we are in this great divide, please do not teach this to your children. I know it is hard to face the fact that the black guy that does yor lawn and your dirty work around your home is equal to you, and think he has the same rights as you....and let's not forget...one day he may have the same health care as you. I know you may shutter at the thought. Let me be the first one to say "I DO NOT THINK OBAMA WANTS TO HARM YOUR CHILDREN" This is all about race. I use to think while growing up in the south that whites were racist against blacks because of the color of there skin. I now live in the north only to find that whites are also racist against other whites, racist against other religious groups, other europeans etc. I had the opportunity to visit most of the African counties and found that there is no racism against skin color, as this is something that is out of your control. (unless said countires are under Dutch control) There are lots of Africans nations that are at war in Africa, however not over skin skin color. In Amercia it is the color of your skin that determine your future. What whites are doing to Obama is scary, however, what is scarier is when I see black people helping you do it.

Our concern was NOT that a bi-racial (not black, that would require both his parent to be black) man was addressing the nation's children. Our concern was a president that has a very socialist agenda was addressing the nation's children. Obama's color has nothing to do with it. If it was Hillary Clinton doing it, I still would not want my child to see the speech. What I want to know is why blacks are making everything about race. Even if both of Obama's parents were white, I still do not agree with his agenda. Just so everyone is clear Obama is our first bi-racial president not our first black president. One question if Michelle was white, would everyone see Obama as white? He was raised by white people.
