I use Netflix on demand more only because I have a Roku box. If Roku were to offer Hulu like they are offering MLB.com and Amazon.com, then I would probably watch Hulu more.

Strange question. I would think that the shows dictate what channels people go to, and not the other way round. So, I use Hulu for The Daily Show, The Corbert Report, Family Guy, American Dad, and Netflix for Lost, and for now, 30 Rock and Heroes. When the latter two switch to Hulu, I will go there for those shows.

I prefer to watch TV on TV. Imagine that. If Hulu could be played through Xbox 360 it would be a different story. Until then, NBC gets the old Torrentu treatment.

I watch 99% of my online TV through Hulu.com and use Netflix for my DVD rentals and the occasional instant movie. I would be much happier if Netflix has HD instant viewing, and all movies in its dvd library available for streaming.

I like the concept of Hulu a lot, first off its free / advertising supported. I make a point of at least watching an ad the first time to give this new format a change, and I find I do like the shorter ads that waste less of my time while getting their point across. I did think I was going to go crazy during that three month period where the Orbit gum commercials were going 24/7, please guys give us a variety. Once per program for a commercial is ENOUGH.

If Hulu offered a online rental service for DVD's similar to Netflix and Blockbuster I would certainly drop Netflix and give all my business to them, simply because I think they understand the future of online television viewing better than anyone else out there.

What I expect from Hulu in the near future: I expect to see options to view HD content. I did not get this 20 meg DL connection and 28' HD computer monitor to watch VCR quality content and I do not pirate movies or music. I want full HD quality options and know its just a matter of having a computer encode a second copy of the streaming episode at a much higher quality rate.

Right now Hulu has about 3 episodes of HD content and they look fantastic. If the entertainment industry is waiting for me to start watching regular TV again, they will be waiting until I die, because I only watch TV on the internet now.

Another thing I expect to see in the future at Hulu, no 1/2 seasons of shows. The makers of new content are fools if they think they are going to get the eyeballs of new viewers at episode 8 of the newest show without us being able to watch episode 1-7. I don't even bother with shows like this other than to make a note to rent them through my Netflix account if they show up in the future.

Content providers are thinking this will cause people to go out and purchase the DVD's, in my position it will not. Purchasing DVD's is not a very green way of doing things, nor am I willing to pay $39 for a season of digital files. TV content has been supported by advertising since the beginning and I'm of the mind that with the greatly less cost of digital distribution it can and will support it into the internet TV era.

Ideally Hulu should graduate into a one stop shop for TV and Movie content with a set price of around $10 a month for access to all episodes and movies in existence. this includes content from all networks including the ones on cable. I see industries like cable becoming a thing of thing of the past if Hulu makes the right connections with content providers and content providers understand that no one is interested in making them rich anymore. They perform a job and deserve to get paid a fair wage, something in the hundreds per week, not the millions!

I've said my peace. I also run a blog that is just starting to get busy, come on over and take a look around if you want, I have a ton of survey companies you can sign up for that will help you get in touch with industry and let them know how you feel. TV surveys are a dime a dozen and your opinion is needed to shape the future of TV for us all.

Netflix mostly, Hulu a close second.

Netflix wins on account of my XBOX 360. Hooking a laptop up to the TV is fairly painless and that's the only way we watch Hulu (desktop client typically).

My only big complaint against Hulu is the expiry on tv shows. 99% of the time that I discover a show I'd like to watch, I'm already many episodes or seasons behind. There's no way I'm going to start watching it at season 5, episode 8, or whatever the earliest viewable episode is. On at least 5 to 10 occasions so far, I never watch the show that I'm interested in unless Netflix picks it up from season 1.

There should be an option for Boxee (local) VOD, because I use that way more than hulu or anything else for that matter.

Hulu has a bigger selection of TV and better image quality, but I can't stand commercials. I know Hulu has to pay the bills, but I don't want to watch commercials - ever. So, I do Netflix.

    Hulu because:

Desktop client, performs better on my 1.5mb DSL.

Hulu's quality is also much better than Netflix's.

    Netflix - mostly due to:

    1. Netflix on the Xbox 360 in my home theater
    2. Not trusting Hulu after the boxee ordeal.

I find myself using Hulu more. I really like the desktop version. I use it with an old Windows Media Center remote. I also don't have a lot of times where I can sit and watch a 2hr movie, so I guess that's a factor too.

Netflix sadly does not offer closed captioning while Hulu.com does (most shows). That is why I voted for Hulu.com because they provide access for the Deaf/HOH.
