Fess up - capacitive screens? Or Resistive screens?

Those who love resistive touch screens love complications I guess. I really don't understand why someone does not want precise screen navigation. I wish all touch phones had capacitive screens. Use an omnia for about a month and tell me about your experience. I have used one for 7 months now and it got so aggravating to use, I canceled my number / contract. I just didn't like the sluggish performance and having to tap the screen 5 times before it would respond. Typical resistive experience. Don't try to tell me that all phones are not this way, I work for VZW and I have played with them all. Not ONE of the current phones screens are worth a damn..

I'll put it simply in terms of cons for each,

    Capacitive: Resistive:
decreased battery life Slightly less sensitivity than capacitive
    no stylus precision
    can't use with gloved hand
    no handwriting recognition

It seems pretty clear to me. Take that capacitive lovers.

    My Vogue's touchscreen isn't bad.
I don't understand why so many people bark about Resistive Touch Screens.
I don't have much experience with using Capacative Screens, but I find it really really hard to believe that we should pay extra for that "upgrade".

I have to use my nails.. when i had the Pre, that was a problem. Selecting text on that device is akward.

I do not like to take my gloves off on the ski lift, therefore I need to use a stylus to keep my hands warm and toasty while gloved. If there was a capacitive touchscreen that would also accept a stylus, I could definitely live with that, but bare fingers required it just a deal breaker for me!

I never really cared about capacitive vs resistive, though the obvious downsides to the former (not glove or stylus friendly) make me want to lean towards the latter.

Also never jerked it over a 3.5mm jack, since I've never ever ever used the one on my Xperia, and probably never will on a future phone.
