FACEOFF POLL: What grade would you give President Obama for the job he has done so far in his time in the White House?

First and foremost, get this part straight on my comment. I did not care for EITHER of the choices in the last election. That would make my comments neutral, which I believe would be the only intelligent way to approach this issue. Now let's do this thing. How would ANYONE including GOD himself fix what Barack Obama walked into on his first day? Let's be honest here. 8 years of total and complete brainlessness (am I wrong here?) to try and repair. Certainly NOTHING was done about immigration in 8 years, was it? Wonder how much that costs each of us every minute of every day. How much did the $4.00 per gallon gas allowed under the previous administration affect people like us losing our homes, jobs, etc? A little bit I might surmise. How much oil AND MONEY do you figure a war in Iraq might cost? Wonder if that money could have been better spent-much less the lives of our best and brightest-GOD PLEASE BLESS THE BEST OF US! If you can honestly give President Obama an "F" for his first 8 months, you can only be a hater, and someone who has an inability to reason adequately. Time will tell what kind of job he will do, but it would be way to early to give someone an "F", logically speaking. Being a sore loser because your team didn't win, is a childish way to do business. After an election is over, "WE THE PEOPLE", are supposed to come together as a nation for the good of all. Why no town hall meetings and tea parties when gas was over $100 per tank, thus RUINING our economy? That was rather "TAXING" for most of us. I would submit this was the REAL reason for the bulk of our economic issues. Do the math, it's rather OBVIOUS. United we stand, DIVIDED we fall. Look at where we were when the previous administration took over. Look at where we were when they got done. Not too good if anyone happened to notice. Oh, that's right, we don't want to admit that our boy has anything wrong with him, or our group is doing poorly. That might reflect on us negatively. So, let's blame Obama for not fixing it in 8 months! Reminds me of a segment I saw on Jeffrey Dahmer, where his parents refused to recognize their kid was a monster! Reality is, Obama and the Democrats won, largely due to the inept job the last bunch did. Without the last bunch, Obama probably wouldn't have been elected (my supposition). So, here we are. If we continue to divide ourselves up between party lines and act like babies, we may lose this great nation. (fact, not opinion) As far as health care, seems that the rich are thrilled with their health care because they can buy whatever they want. Government employees don't see a problem, especially congress and the senate because they have better insurance than the rest of us, even though the rest of us are paying for it!! Folks at the bottom of the economic spectrum get their health care paid for by everyone else. So, that leaves the good ol' rest of us ( huge percentage of the middle class, and essentially ALL self employed people) with little to no coverage. Isn't that "SPACIAL". If the previous administration had addressed the dismal state of healthcare for the average guy, we wouldn't be having this discussion now, would we? Wake up, people, you're not as smart as you think you are, even though it is MUCH EASIER not to consider all of the facts. Believing the BLOWHARDS on talk radio ( both sides of the aisle) is not a substitute for doing your own research and reaching a reasonable conclusion. They have an agenda. Basically it is hurray for them, and the hell with everyone else. They get paid to do the wild thing, if you know what I mean.

Geez Magnum Force, for being neutral you sure do like to bash President Bush. Lets break down your arguments. First, you say President Obama could not fix the problems he inherited in a day. Ok, granted. Lets look at what President Bush inherited. A recession, 9/11 was being planned for two years before it occurred but President Bush was only in office for 8 months when the attack occurred. He however he still got blamed even though President Clinton had opportunities to either kill Bin Laden in Afghanistan but declined or take him in custody from Sudan which he also declined. To this very day, Van Jones, Green Czar for President Obama believes (or at least he did until it caused him problems) that President Bush knew it was going to happen but did nothing to stop it. Hmmmm...so much for looking forward. Since defense spending was cut under President Clinton from 214 billion a year to 65 billion, I would say Bush started off at a disadvantage. $4.00/gallon gas? I believe it has been Democrats in Congress who refuse to allow off shore drilling or drilling in ANWAR. We have more oil than Saudi Arabia but the democrats won't allow us to access it. They prefer to make farcical laws allowing drilling more than 150 miles off shore knowing full well the oil lies within that boundary. Also in that bill, the states whose shores the oil was to be drilled for get no royalties from it. So they take all the risk and only the federal government gets the benefit. What state would go for that? I bet you didn't know that China is drilling for oil closer to American shores in the Gulf of Mexico than American companies are allowed to. Hmmmm....wonder why oil costs so much. Democrats argue that "it won't be accessible for 10 years if we start drilling today." That is the same argument they made when the Republicans first proposed drilling in ANWAR....in 1996/97. As far as the economic melt down, I have to words for you. Barney Frank. He spent the late 90's and early 2000's pushing legislation to get low income people into housing. Sounds good until you realize he was pushing for them to get housing they could not afford. Banks actually were fined for not lending to the low income individuals and the bad loans were forced into Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac since according to Barney Frank it was "too big to fail." President Obama said if we pass the stimulis bill unemployment would not go above 8%. VP Biden had to let us know several weeks ago that they "guessed wrong." Unemployment today is 9.7% and expected to go above 10%. Glad we spent that 3/4 of a trillion dollars....really got our money out of that wouldn't you say? We were told during the campaign that Bush's spending was "out of control!" President Obama has quadrupled the budget deficit in 8 months. Expect the national debt to go from 4 trillion to 9 trillion in 10 years....if we get the savings he promises with healthcare reform which is unlikely since medicare costs 9 times what they said it would. I do agree with you that there needs to be health care reform. I buy my own...not cheap. I believe however that if this government option is so great....why don't members of Congress want to be in it?? President Obamas problems do not stem from talk radio or Republicans. He can't unite his own party. Liberals have NBC, ABC, CBS, NPR, virtually all large print newspapers, CNN, MSNBC, HLN and they are upset about FoxNews and talk radio?? The Constitution requires citizens to stay informed and challenge our leaders. Not roll over for them. I've been called racist, evil, a Nazi, a brown shirt, a mobster by the leaders of the Democratic party for only asking them questions. A congress woman from NY stated that town hall meetings were "below her" and she wasn't giving "those people" a forum. What a sorry state of affairs that Democrats feel so comfortable in their power only after 8 months. What will it be like at the end of 4 years?
