I think of the Governor should resign. If there are moral standards for the President of the US then there should be moral standards for the Governor. They tried to impeached President Clinton and he didn't even admit to infidelity but the Governor boldly admitted. He family is not supporting him. Why should we?

Gov. Sanford should resign because South Carolina is facing critical issues that needs a fulltime governor, not one that is occuppied by personal problems. Many of us haven't forgotten about the big fight he made over accepting much needed stimuli money for South Carolina while he was living well with his lover. All South Carlolinies should ask the question, "What has Governor Sanford done for us lately?" The answer is NOTHING. Let him go so he can work fulltime on the reconciliation with his spouse.

I think that this mess with Sanford is, as he calls it, political. There's no reason that this stuff should still be coming up but for politicians who want him out of office for their own purposes. And Andre Baur is the LAST PERSON who should be judging someone else. I'd rather a cheating Sanford than a druggie Baur.

Sanford should be impeached because he showed complete disregard for the safety of our state and has lied to us and his staff repeatedly. The worst part about Sanford is the hypocrisy - he has mailed out Christmas cards every year talking about how important it is to have high morals and stop wasteful spending in our state. And now we find out HE is the one wasting the money and being morally inept. He has disgraced our state and is a worthless lame duck. Please, go Sanford, before you are forced out!!

Sanford is a disgrace to himself, his family, and this state. The time has come for his role as governor to end, whether by impeachment or resignation. He is not benefitting this state. He has no time because he is constantly holding press conferences or going on vacation. He is a hinderance and needs to move out of the way.
And to those who constantly bring up Clinton...he had relations with a woman who is an American. He never disappeared. R

any man that can stand in front of a camera for 20 min and talk about how his new argentine mistress is his soul mate and that he will try to fall bac in love with his wife cannot be trusted. obviously a very stupid man. is this really the best the state of so carolina can come up with for governor? a very stupid man? how pathetic. our state will never get ahead as long as we allow so many stupid people to be in leadership positions!

the basis of his term has been to stop frivolous spending and yet he has spent hundreds of thousands of OUR dollars on first class tickets and travel for his kids going against the very laws he enacted. he knew he could afford to pay but decided we should pay instead. his wife is a millionaire!!!! doesn't that make anyone sick? it'd be one thing if they were poor or even mid class but they are rich, rich rich!! so they say let's make the people pay. sick!!!!!

Gov. Mark Sanford should NOT resign. He's the only one around here who understands that a one-time windfall from the US govt. (ie stimulus package) will not fund major changes in the state budget. This is like committing to a new car payment just because someone gave you the money for the down payment. Who of us hasn't made mistakes we don't regret?
