I am looking for reasonabl parameters for accommodating a broad range of visual issues, several of which affect me reading, editing and writing of complex policy documents and other work products. I am gratified to read your findings because they are very consistent with my personal preferences for accessible on-screen materials
An interesting idea would be to study the direction of light used in user interface components.

Thanks a lot for sharing the findings, very interesting. I was wondering whether you could also study the ratios used in site design on corporate websites design, and the most popular layouts for the same.
I would love to see a study on education websites. I work for a non-profit school and would like a little inspiration on redoing our "shopping cart" for class registration. It is so hard to find a clean, easy to use class registration interface. A study of this would really help me and all the other education folks out there banging their heads against the same wall. :-)
Lots of lists already exist for portfolio websites, but I'd be very interested for Smashing to provide a good long list of interesting and new designs for corporate websites.
I would love to see more on the design of UI for web applications and products.
