Would you make the jump to fiber-optic television?

You bet. I've already switched.

I would if I could.

I'm not sure. The new technology sounds interesting, but I'm pleased with what I've got.

No way. I like my cable as it is.

WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A CHOICE, WAY UP HERE IN MAINE, TIME WARNER RUNS EVERYTHING UP THIS WAY AND WE HAVE NO CHOICES--NO N.F.L. NETWORK ETC. TIME WARNER GIVES US WHAT THEY WANT--NOT WHAT WE WANT--I WOULD CHANGE IN A MINUTE IF GIVEN A CHOICE--SURE WISH TIME WARNER WOULD SMARTEN UP.

Be very happy you have the choice. In Rochester, it's Time Warner Cable and Frontier Communications, the "nation's soon to be largest rural phone company" that believes fiber is for breakfast cereals.

Syracuse, Buffalo, Albany, and NYC are all being wired for FiOS, and will have 21st century broadband. Rochester will be stuck in a broadband backwater for years with an undercapitalized phone company that is completely misplaced in a market with more than 1,000,000 residents across the 585 area code, and is New York's second largest economy.

Better yet, Frontier remains the only telephone company around with the 5GB monthly usage cap in their Acceptable Use Policy.
