Is Hillary Being Undermined as Secretary of State?

  • Outfoxed is no myth - 15 years ago

Farce News SPINS again!!!! I guess her "white entitlement" is being undermined.---- Having to be "obama's messenger" as some comments have referred. LET HER JUST WORK AND DO HER JOB.

  • lola - 15 years ago

Maybe Hillary is regretting having taken that job. She's more or less Obama's messenger, far from the seat of power, but close enough to be tainted by the administration's bungled policies. She should have stayed clear of Washington after the election, waited for Obama to mess things up, and then run again in 2012.

  • Black Scott - 15 years ago

Haa Haa Hee well she walked right into this one..... you thought O'Blama was going to give you a real job in his admin., you are stupider then you look,...moron,.. nice cankles by the way,.. gym more, buffet less,.. equals less health care,....idiots

  • Deb - 15 years ago

I'm not a huge Hillary fan but this administration seems to act like she doesn't exist. That may be due in part to Pres. Obama's maturity level as an administrator. His lack of experience in leading is starting to (glow) show.

  • Ray - 15 years ago

Obama is heeding the age old addage of: "Keep your friends close and you enemies closer." Hillary is a pawn in the game. No power, no clout. Her self image must have taken a huge hit for her to explode like she did in Africa.

  • greg - 15 years ago

Let me ask you a more relevant question. Why do you keep beating your spouse? Faux News, is this really 'no spin'? I haven't wasted my time watching the idiot parade for quite a while now. Last night, I watched a couple of hours of your propaganda out of curiosity. Nice to see you all have given up any pretense of being a news organization. I thought the 'make the facts fit my paradigm' approach had died with the last administration.

  • JChi - 15 years ago

Who decides these poll topics? Are these to be used as talking points on air? This is almost as stupid as the majority of Fixed News viewers.

  • FranSC - 15 years ago

These comments are utterly amazing! Southern Woman, what a complete fool you are!! 'Obama beat her flat-out'. Yeah, right! You sure did not pay attention in 2008 - so what else is new for these mindless supporters of this extraordinarily imperfect man? He did NOT beat her at anything except states that had high AA registrations and the fraudulent caucuses that team 0bama bused in to cast their illigitimate votes for the eventual illigitimate nominee and then illigitimate president. The Dem leadership and DNC looked the other way since he was their candidate. Unless the women in THIS country start to understand the damage they are inflicting on themselves and each other by blasting other women, NOT TO MENTION HRC is 10 times more *brilliant* than that wet-behind-the-ears neophyte, you DESERVE the sexism and misogyny you experience day in and day out. What an idiot!

  • az4us - 15 years ago

Continued Obama Admin, No respect nor pride,
how should we have pride and respect, when Mr. President can't even walk with dignity nor pride,
he jogs like a pimp, Hillary did have pride prior to her placement, she should have seen this coming, or maybe she still is not a "stand by your man, woman"?? Stand up Hillary!

  • Larry Wood - 15 years ago

Bush 41 had Powell and Rice running around all over the planet. While others(eg- her husband and others) are delivering important results, she scolds college students and N.K. Must be in her job description, huh?
What can she offer when the cabinet members sit together regarding National security? I guess she should ask Bill.
Get out there, Hillary. Go someplace important. Speak to the people that make a difference. If not you might as well sit back with the rest of us, be glad you have a gov't job and watch the news.

  • Jim - 15 years ago

She is being phased out. Obama is incredibly stupid in doing this. It will likely alienate a large number of women voters in the coming days. But, if you do not play by his rules, you do not get rewarded.

  • KD Moss - 15 years ago

Each of these events was arranged with her supervision, so it is obviously she who approved them. She certainly wants the goals of the United States to be achieved, and our emissaries have succeeded. If she went herself in each case she might not have succeeded, and this same blog would critisize her for that. Give her a break so that the US interests can be served.

  • Texas T - 15 years ago

I am incredibly relieved to know that she is not representing our country in important matters. Hillary is a liabilty to the United States.

  • Jess - 15 years ago

Well its thanks to all the mindless type of hateful rhetoric that got us obama in the first place. Personally I don't know why she took a job with that pitiful thug in the first place, but she definitely gets a high 5 for her comments in the congo, she made it very clear that you do not condescend to her. You guys need to move on and do whatever you can to get bam out of office. Volunteer and a local office of anyone who has a chance to take a dem out. I know I am.

  • cotton - 15 years ago

May be the only thing obama ever does I agree with - hillary is better controlled up close & personal. I don't trust him at all because I think he is naïve and misguided. I don't trust her because she is sneaky and lies. What a glorious combination to be running such a wonderful country as AMERICA!!

  • Roland Piccone - 15 years ago

She is not stupid, and she knows what's happening. It won't be long before she let's His Majesty Obama know what she's really thinking. The DNC better put a mug on her, before she explodes. It will be in time for the 2010 elections, and the Republicans will benefit from it.
    Roland

  • Daniel - 15 years ago

I might be a little biased as a Republican, but she really is lucky to be in the oval office once again. I mean with the economy in disarray, I believe there are many candidates worthy of her position. But what do I know, I just turn on the television and tune out what's around me like the best of em.

  • Southern Woman - 15 years ago

I am not surprised based upon the fact that she only cares about HER emotions and HER beliefs. I was so embarrased when she was running for the Democratic ticket and she stated in a tearful trembling voice "I found my voice"...and then when Obama beat her flat-out how their are millions of breaks in that glass ceiling....She has never represented women in a favorable light...maybe in a "coy" "deceitful" light-but definately not one that is favorable! I do not trust this woman and her flying off the handle and coming across as a ***ch doesn't represent me (as an American) well!

  • geof - 15 years ago

    Stand by your man!!!!!!!! LOL

  • Tankernav - 15 years ago

Obama selected her as S of S only because he wanted her supporters on his side. She was willing to grab any morsel to save face. He has no intentions of using her in a starring role. I'll bet she's pissed at Bill.....again.

  • geof - 15 years ago

    Stand by your man!!!!!!!! LOL

  • DocLogic - 15 years ago

I want Bill back......and I hated Bill. But he's so much better than what we have. He is a Democrat but he not a socialist.

  • JohnnyRocket - 15 years ago

Hillary who? You mean Bill's wife when he doesn't have someone under the table.

  • Scared Silly - 15 years ago

Yes, we have a fool for President, a fool for Vice President, a fool for Secretary of State, a fool for Speaker of the House, and a Congress and a Senate with nothing but demogod fool's. You people put to much brain into Obubu. He is not smart enough to keep Hill out of anything. All he is concerned about is spending money we do not have and can never pay back so China can own us I guess. THIS ROUND OF GOVERNMENT IS THE BIGGEST JOKE EVER PLAYED ON THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

  • garnet bryant - 15 years ago

She needs to be pushed in the back room. Let her stay in Korea. Who needs her and Bill and all their lies. its just more of Bill-water-gate and hillary-hell cats

  • angel - 15 years ago

Hillary in a year or so will resign and be her own women F*** the democrats all together.

  • bruce - 15 years ago

The men who run this world do not like bossy women. She may not be invited.

  • angel - 15 years ago

Goes to show Hillary scares Obama and the Democratic party, she got rail roaded during the elections bid so what's new wake up Hillary.

  • Raj For Sarah - 15 years ago

You haters should get some education!

    a) If you are a republican, I will tell you, I am a Sarah supporter, and a passionate Sarah Palin volunteer..I respect Hillary so much. Any day, Hillary will make a better President than Obama , no questions. And you should learn to applaud and appreciate , when needed! Republicans , your enemy is Obama - he is the socialist, he is the one who is destroying the country . Your effort should be targeted towards bringing Obama down. Don't forget, Bill Clinton gave us a surplus with his policies, he cut capital gains taxes (as would any republican), he was against medicare , and he was a real President, unlike Obama. And don't forget, Hillary said "she will obliterate Iran if it gets close to nuclear" , as would any republican!

    b) If you are a Democrat, you need her! Obama lacks experience! He has no experience! He is messing up big time! He is destroying the Democratic Party and the country! If Obama runs in 2012 , he will lose, you need to replace him with Hillary on top of the ticket in 2012 , or else it will be Republican 2012!

  • wcs - 15 years ago

Loved that "Bill who?, I'm the Secretary of State" tiff in Africa. A big priority for Obama has been to make DAM sure Hillary stays off the radar through 2012. If the voters knew then what they know now Hillary is President and Senator Obama is still campaigning... not that that's big difference from what's going on now. But, without question... Hillary knows that. So come the massacre of 2010 look for Hillary to opt out and challenge The One for a now highly presumptory second term.

  • Ryan - 15 years ago

Wy are we so surprised that she's quickly being thrown into the corner? As Ronbajnath said it, she's "The most incompetent SOS ever"...an understatement if I say so. If she can't handle criticism from our own U.S. media, can't come to grip with the fact that Bill still has a world-wide impact from his former position (astonishingly), can't control her quick-tongue remarks when traveling abroad, what does she expect to happen to her? Can you imagine if some people didn't wake up before it was too late and she actually made the big ticket?

  • Alan - Texas - 15 years ago

This is how they do it in Chicago. She's from there, she should have seen it coming. We all know how Obama deals with people who he deems to be in his way. Apparently, Hillary got in his way.

I'm not a Hillary fan, she's too full of herself and not likable, but I do think that she would have been a more measured President than Obama. Obama is so inexperienced that he just shots stuff out there to see what will stick and then forms policy around the stuff that sticks.

It is very interesting to see how this all plays out. Maybe if conservatives just stick to their values and principles, the Liberals will eventually destroy each other before this is all over. It's already happening between Congress and Obama. There will be lots of books written about all the politics playing out with this administration.

My bet is that 2010 Congressional elections will be a disaster for the Liberals and we might even end up with Term Limits for the Congress by the time this is over. The electorate is seeing very clearly how career politicians in Congress view the voters as they try to sell us Obamacare. It's not giving us a good feeling, so I predict strong movements to eliminate the career politicians before we loose our country.

  • Ronbajnath - 15 years ago

The most incompetent SOS ever, now only searching for a Royalty status.Never again a Senator. Will never be a President or Vice President. Thank God she is paying for all her crooked politics like dodging bullets in Bosnia. No one should pity her. Let her rot into infamy. It is time to get rid of the Clinton Era.

  • Jim - 15 years ago

Euthanized is more like it. She should in no particular order:
    Tell Obama to stuff it.
    Quit
    Divorce Bill
    Buy a skirt
    Get Laid (Don't call me)

  • K.L. - 15 years ago

She certainly has not been very high profile.... and when she was, she put her foot in her mouth. She did not look like a statesman when she made her flippant reply to the student in the Congo..... and I believe also when she referred to the 2000 election in Nigeria. She has issues that should disqualify her from representing the United States..... we may see less and less of her.

  • Joey P - 15 years ago

You gotta give the Bamster credit for taming that pit-bull with kindness and a smile. I saw and heard her get angry at the press once when she thought she was “off the air”, she was scary…Can't understand what Bill ever saw in her.

  • Jay Galt - 15 years ago

Yes she's being shoved, but not by Obama. By everyone who knows her and would rather negotiate or play golf with someone else. Wait until she is not invited to some state dinner because the guests want Bill, Bill, Gov X or ??? On the other hand, is anyone surprised noone wants to spend any time with her? Bill doesn't.

  • Mark - 15 years ago

OF COURSE she doesn't get involved in back-channel discussions of a non-official nature... but as usual, the right-wing media spins the truth and misrepresents it as something that will demonize progressives in some way.

If it wasn't so tragic for this country, it would be laugh-out-loud funny how moronic so many of you fixed-news viewers are.

  • Philip G Garrahan - 15 years ago

When once asked why he would want Bobby Kennedy in his cabinet, LBJ is reported as having answered "I would rather have inside the tent pis#@*ng out than outside pis#*@ng in." Same with the So. Chicago superman and Hillary.

  • ripper the gripper - 15 years ago

Sorry Hannity, you put her on the express and now look what happened, we're stuck with someone who makes Billary look like a Right Winger!

  • Roger - Arizona - 15 years ago

This woman is scum as a leader and politican. She has little or no morals and even less common sense. She has no more business being in our Federal Government than Obamanation does. Her first fault is that she's liberal, her second is that she isn't woman enough to keep he man faithful and thirdly, she stinks as SOS. Imagine this person being a President??? This whole administration needs to be voted out as well does the Democrats and Republicans in the Senate and Congress. I for one will be voting independent next time around. I've had it with both parties. Bunch of cry baby, finger pointers. The people and what we want have ceased to matter to either party anymore. They look for slick ways of getting their special interest bills into play without informing the public first. The only thing that matters to these rich jerks is themselves, their interest and their party. VOTE THEM OUT IN 2010 AMERICA! VOTE THEM ALL OUT! We need to send a clear message that the people of the United States of America expect our leaders to lead by the will of the people, or they're out of there.

  • lipper - 15 years ago

of course she's being marginalized. Two weeks in Africa..
That's the playbook used in the movie "Dave", remember?!

  • Raj For Sarah - 15 years ago

I am a fiscally Conservative guy. Here is my take on this:

I think Hillary is highly qualified and I would have loved to have her as our President, instead of Obama , or McCain , any day , any time. Hillary has immense talent. She is actually more qualified and experienced than most of the people in the current admin. It is a shame that Obama is pushing her into a corner. Perhaps he is too worried that she will overshadow him easily, and that is the only reason he is doing that..Obama cannot talk without a teleprompter, and at any day or night, at 3pm or 3am , Hillary can give a great speech without a teleprompter, and is that the reason Obama is so worried about her? Or is it the fact that Hillary knows that we have 50 states in our country, but Obama thinks we have 57 states, and hence hates her?

    Hillary 2012!

  • EthanCMH - 15 years ago

I am sure, as Sec. of State she has been part of each and everyone of these decisions. Possibly, she is putting her country first?! Yes. She knows she isn't the best to handle certain situations -- sends others. I call that good management.

  • Edward - 15 years ago

She's getting her Federal Health Plan. Sometimes you have to pay to get your way.

  • Elaine Hegstetter - 15 years ago

Of course she is being marginalized and if Michelle Obama has anything to
say about it, she will be assigned to weeding the victory garden.

  • ely - 15 years ago

Well... I have always thought Hillary (and her husband Bill) to be fools, only now, Obama is playing them for the idiot buffoons they really are!

  • BJD55 - 15 years ago

Definitely and on purpose! Never been a fan but she is blatently being used to the point of humiliated. This divisive behavior from our Administration is "transparent" and not becoming. The world is laughing at the USA freak show. So ... I remain hopeful for CHANGE before the ship sinks.

  • Frank - 15 years ago

Democratic competition is what I meant to write..

  • Judy - 15 years ago

Keep your emmenies closer, brilliant move by the Obama she should have never given up being senator. She has no where to go now. She is so boxed in. She only has control over Africa now. He has made ambassadors to any country that is important and they ONLY answer to him, not to her. She is supposed to be so brilliant, she should have seen this coming. The only thing left is for Obama to screw up so badly(he is well on his way) that she runs in 2012, after that she will just be old to try and run in 2016, she has to move now or spend a lot more time with Bill.

  • Sam - 15 years ago

YES! Wow and how fast it was................

  • Frank - 15 years ago

Sylvia J Besse who's ignorant? Your the one that is assuming Hill is being treated the way she is because she is a female. If you ask me Obama is brilliant (in this case alone). He has simply neutralized his only potential competition in 2012.

  • krissyrichmond - 15 years ago

I was never a Hillary fan, but I do feel bad for her now. Funny how George W Bush gave the women in his cabinet more respect and responsibility than Barack Obama (who is supposed to be a champion for minority rights).

  • Daphne Confer - 15 years ago

Well duh. He bought her off the presidential campaign by offering her this. She stupidly accepted and gave her an eventually powerful Senate position (a la Kennedy). I bet my husband she'd be gone within the year. Looks like it's happening.

  • John in Colorado - 15 years ago

It's about time someone took the wind out of her sails. She's gotten a little too big for her pants suits and she doesn't wear dresses because her balls would show if she bent over.

  • Sylvia J Besse - 15 years ago

Too bad most of you heathens are too ignorant to know what her job is or is not, why dont you check it out, get past that she is female and get another job to take up your spare time that you spend trashing other people and things that you know nothing about.

  • Tony - 15 years ago

    Thats politics Chicaog stype.

  • Bastage - 15 years ago

Hahah. Damned if she does, damned if she doesn't.

I love Fox News polls, regardless how the question is worded, you'll always get an honest answer from Fox News fans!

  • Vicki - 15 years ago

She couldn't have done any worse than Obama at the presidency. If I were to vote Democrat - I would have voted for her instead of Obama. I don't believe in either, however.

  • A Patriot - 15 years ago

She's good in dodging bullets (in Bosnia, remember?) but not much else.

  • Steve - 15 years ago

Must be Hell on that Ego of hers

  • Vicki - 15 years ago

Does anything suprise us with this Administation? I don't think that Obama liked Hillary in his administation to begin with. I think it was some sort of under the counter deal to appoint her...

  • Jim - 15 years ago

Keep her as far away from everything as humanly possible! Send her to nowhereville every week.

  • Cindinator - 15 years ago

How smart Obama is to push Hill out of sight

  • Leo Ohanesian - 15 years ago

That's where she belongs. I she were president, it would be worse . . . .Bill would have the job again. Now he's only sec'y of state!

  • Sam - 15 years ago

    Hillary who?

  • Stiletto - 15 years ago

I am glad she is being shoved in the corner. After her tantrum in Africa, "name calling" in Asia, she should be put in a sand box with a bucket and a shovel...
