Who else should be in charge? These people have vested interest because their money(7-9% of their pay) is paid into this pension system each week. If the cities and towns had matched the funds as in Social Security the Pension system would be fully funded now! They went many a year just paying what minimum they had to. These public servants do not collect 100% of their Social Security benefits they are off-set by their pensions. Maybe this newspapaer should print the real facts about the pension system.
