There is no comparison Penn Station simply ROCKS!!! wayyyyyyyyyyy better than any sub in Dayton or any other city that I have personaly tried.
WOW PennStation's e-mail SPAM campaign has clearly paid off for them. PennStation ranks above Subway perhaps, but they get SMOKED by Potbelly, Sub House, Milanos, Jimmy John's and DiSalvo's. They should be disqualified for clearly manipulating the poll for marketing gain.
Penn Station is number one, because their buns are fresh baked, And their cheesesteak is the best!!!!
I voted earlier today and Subhouse was one vote behind Penn Station, then I checked back 2 minutes later and they were up by 200 votes. It seems a little fishy to me. Can that many people actually think that Penn station is the best?
Disalvos deli is hands down the best. I guess they don't have corporate sponsors boosting the votes.
Submarine House used to be really good but over the past few years, it's gone downhill. Their customer service isn't good, the meat portion in the cheesesteak is smaller, just isn't like it used to be. Quite frankly I think Hoagie's has the best sub in Dayton but they aren't on the list since they are a small operation on North Dixie. Sad. Penn Station has always had a great sub; I've yet to order one that wasn't just as I asked; hot and delicious. Since Hoagie's wasn't on the list, I voted for my second fav, which is Penn Station. What's wrong with them asking their valued customers to vote? If the other facilities wanted to win, they could do the same!!! Best of luck to Penn Station. By the way, the Linden Ave location is great; our favorite.
funny everytime you vote penn station gets a vote, too they are running a program everytime anybody votes for anyone other than penn station they get a vote its rigged there greases cheesteaks suck i wouldnt feed to my dog!!!!!!
The subhouse in Beavercreek is the best. The owners are always so nice and the food is great.
I think Submarine House has the best subs. Their Cheesesteak is way better then anyone elses. I think its sad that Penn Station has to advertise to get votes. They sent out an email blast and everytime someone opens it, they get a vote. Sad they have to do that to get votes.
Finding the best sub is simple. Look for the best ingredients. DiSalvo's definately uses the best ingredients, so they have to be the best. Another bonus is when you walk in, they know you by name. There is nothing finer than a friendly neighborhood deli.
The Submarine House has the best subs in town!!!!!! We all work very hard to make the best subs. Please vote Activedayton.com, to vote for your best sub place in Dayton
The Beavercreek Submarine house is wonderful Good service and good food.

Definitely Milanos. Not quite the same as when "Mom" was still making them but still very good. Its all in the bread.
the best sub i ever had in dayton was at mama disalvo's.......however...you gotta go to the east coast...to get a real sub....just a fact....penn station is leading this poll...but their slogan says "east coast subs".....so i am not making this up...it is what it is.......
These results are clearly a glaring example of people's shirtsighted devotion to mass marketing, or rigged by Pen Station proponents...or both. This is the same thing as people voting for Pizza Hut as best pizza, or Burger King for best hamburger. It's simply not possible.
Places like Mama DiSalvo's and Jimmy Johns use better quality bread, finer meats, and hand-prepare with greater effort and detail. For those who disagree, have fun at Subway. Leaves more of the good stuff for those of us who can tell the difference.
