Do you think 18 year olds should legally be allowed to drink?

No I don't think anyone should drink, if they do, they need to wait until they are at least the age of 21 years old..To many people drink until the act crazy or mean or both............Please don't give my name

Since 18 yr olds are found to be responsible enough to sign a legal contract, vote, serve on a jury and join the military. It can only be an act of stupidity by our government to say they are not responsible enough to drink.

How many people are short of a brain in this state? I am a soldier of the United States military and when I found out that 18 year old soldiers were not allowed to purchase alcohol on base. One could imagine how furiated I was. I signed up knowing that I am giving to risk my life for this country and they say i can not driink??? I think that if, like Ray said, that if you are old enough to smoke, sign contracts, and join the military, you are sure as well old enough to drink. And yes, there are risks, but the benefits outweigh the risk in this case. More consumers equals more taxes which will help out our economy as well and SLOW DOWN OUR NATINAL DEBT.

WHAT THE LAWYERS ARE MISSING IS THIS....THE GOVERNOR HAS ALREADY PASSED A BILL THAT LETS THEM HAVE GUNS. NOW THE LAWYERS WANT THEM TO HAVE ALCOHOL. THEY ARE MAKING THEIR CASE FOR THE MILITARY PERSON. " THEY CAN SERVE THEIR CONTRY, BUT CANNOT CARRY A GUN OR HAVE A DRINK"
THATS GREAT FOR THE MILITARY MAN.... DEPENDING ON THE BRANCH OF SERVICE, HE/SHE HAS COMPLETED AT LEAST 9- 13 WEEKS OF INTENSE TRAINING & DISCIPLINE ! SOME OF THE THINGS TAUGHT DURING THAT PERIOD WERE HANDLING OF WEAPONS & AMMUNITON, AND THE MOST IMPORTANT, THE USE OF DEADLY FORCE. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY WILL NOT SHOW THEIR TAIL IN A GIVEN SITUATION. THESE BRAVE MEN & WOMEN ARE NOT THE BOYS & GIRLS ON THE STREET THAT YOU AND I SEE EVERY DAY WITHOUT ANYKIND OF DIRECTION IN THIER LIVES.
IF YOU WANT TO ACOMADATE THE SERVICE MEN & WOMEN, JUST HAVE THEM SHOW THEIR MILLITARY ID.
THE REST OF THE BOYS & GIRLS ALREADY KNOW HOW TO GET GUNS, MONEY, DRUGS & ALCOHOL WITHOUT SERVING THEIR COUNTRY.
IF THEY FEEL THAT THEY ARE LEFT OUT/ DISCRIMIATED AGAINST, SHOW THEM WHERE TO SIGN UP AT SO THEY CAN SERVE THEIR COUNTRY FIRST & THEN GET A DRINK LEGALLY.
