Need I remind these people that they are elected officials that will be elected OUT OF OFFICE if they don't get it together QUICKLY! This is by far not the first time they have WASTED Anderson County tax payers money.
This new council (the majority of them) have cut the budget. The general fund portion — where most of the day-to-day costs and possible savings are — has been reduced by 12 percent in a recession.
This budget was approved 6/16/09 by a 6-1 vote with council member Gracie Floyd voting no.
