All this is nonsense. Sorry, but it is.
    1) NO FORD NO JONES!!! OKAY?? PERIOD.
    2) WE`VE ALL GROWN UP SINCE THE GOOD OLD DAYS AND BECOME CYNICAL AND JADED, BUT INDY IS FOR KIDS FIRST AND FOREMOST AND KIDS LOVE IT. EVERYBODY COMPLAINS ABOUT THAT FRIDGE, BUT WHAT ABOUT JUMPING OFF A PLANE ON A RAFT OR DRINKING WATER WITH A GOLDEN GOBLET AND SHRIVEL UP LIKE A DRIED PRUNE AND DIE, OR EXPECT A VOODOO DOLL TO REALLY WORK...? US KIDS BACK THEN NEVER COMPLAINED IT WAS UNREALISTIC OR IRRATIONAL. WE LOVED COS IT WAS FUN AND DARING AND WAY OUT THERE.
THE LAST THING WE WANT TO SEE IS FOR LUCAS/SPIELBERG TO RAISE THE FRANCHISE TO MODERN SENSIBILITIES AND FUQ IT UP BY TRYING TO BE HIP.
THE ONE IMPORTANT THING THOUGH IS TO WORK ON THE SCRIPT AND MAKE A THIGHT PLOT, BECAUSE THE 4TH MOVIE LACKED PLOT BAD: INSTEAD OF TRYING TO BE CUTE AND FUNNY BY INSERTING STUPID CGI EFFECTS, MAKE THE DIALOGUE AND PLOT INTERESTING AND CAPTIVATING AND HUMOROUS.

I loved the fourth movie. The fridge part was the shining moment in my opinion- something I would expect Indy to do!

I don't know why people I hated it. I loved it and I walked out of that theatre very pleased with it.

When I was younger the Indiana Jones movies was a nice series. The 4th movie was trying too hard to be cute and funny. The fridge part, we all know about that, however the script was sloppy and did not have a style of it's own. Was there an attempt to mix Close Encounter with the 3rd Kind with Indiana Jones?

The series needs a new jolt of talent as well as sticking to what made the first movie great, the idea that there is still so much to learn and so much mystery.....

I grew up idolizing Indiana Jones, seeing I was 9 years old when Last Crusade came out, so I was very jazzed to hear a few years back that they were making a new film. Keeping an eye on Indianajones.com to see bits and pieces of Indy 4. Finally the day came when I got to see the full trailer and it actually looked really good and I was so pumped for May 22,2008 to roll around.
I have the dvd trilogy and I still haven't bought the Indy 4 because that was the crappiest movie I ever seen, the first 30 seconds were o.k., but the rest sucked!!! I can't believe what garbage Spielberg and Lucas came up with, it felt like one of those lame ass playstation/xbox video games of Indy, but the bad part was I couldn't turn the movie off, seeing I spent 8 bucks to see it, I'd rather burn 8 bucks than watch that movie again.
Speilburg and Lucas couldn't defenitly turn this around if the leave the SCI FI crap out of it! THIS AIN'T STAR WARS! And cast some better people.....I mean when I found out Karen Allen was returning I thought that was pretty cool, but I think her acting sucked, Shia wasn't too bad. I don't understand why the didn't even think of Sean Patrick Flannery from the Young Indy series and The Boondock Saints.
Anyways, I they decide to make another film it better be WAY BETTER THAN INDY 4, because I don't feel like wasting my time again!!!
    Thanks,
    Dan

I think keep Indy in it. Play off more of the old guy, maybe wallow in I'm too old thing for awhile, but he has to come out of it to save the day and the younger character. Maybe Shia and a archaeological school buddy and a gal..

Keep the mythology. Darkness doesn't become the Indy franchise. It almost ruined it with Temple of Doom.

Shia LeBeouf can't act his way out of a paper bad ... dump him for someone else.
