I have a 1977 dodge for sale for $11.7 million it was in the flood. It needs a new motor and body, But it was a very important car for the down town area, it use to deliver the gazette to that part of town. To some the price may seem high, but why would you want to buy a newer car at a better rate that has no history of being down town? This car could help save the down town because it is the most important part of the big picture.
Sound like this a deal for you?

I don't think it is important for the revitalization of downtown, it's too far from the city center for that. However, I think having it near the center of the city is important for convenience as well as reinforcing the image of a downtown.

I would like a little more information on how occupied the AOB building was before the flood, was there two people in every office? Did the building look like a contests to see how many people could fit in a phone booth? I can see how there might have been a need to expand the building, but adding an entire extra floor seems like gross excess.

The county government is important to the downtown economy. I bet the chamber is the one pushing the BOS in this direction.

Building a new AOB is going to be cheaper now than in 40 years. I wouldn't put 300K into my 100K house. But it's ok to sink 11 million into a 2 million dollar property. Ugh!

I like the downtown are but things need to be cleaned up like flood damage properties and the current crime problem. I would like to see the county BOS be proactive for a change.
