Russ said something big was going down. He wanted to call Ronnie out. I think he enjoyed every word/action he took. I do think that it was a calculated move on his part....not a "heat of passion" move.
Did Ronnie know it was going to happen? Absolutely not.
Were they in cahoots beforehand? Absolutely not.
I think Russ is trying to use it to his advantage now. Who would think that he would align himself (again) with the one that he was so vicious towards?
I think Russell meant it when he was taunting Ronnie. I think he had a light-bulb moment at some point and decided he could Ronnie to his advantage after all....
