It is good to have analysis of failures and reasons for it. I am not much interested in the iPhone, yet a general and honest look at applications, their design and the thinking that should go into it, on any platform, is useful - for any other platform.
DEFINITELY interested in the rest of the series. I'm personally very interested in iPhone app development, but these cover basic UI development principles that are useful for everyone.
