Is Cycling Drunk as Bad as Driving Drunk? Which comments do you agree with?



"No because all your likely to do is kill yourself where a drunk driver can kill not only any passengers but other people in cars and on the sidewalks etc.."

Yes. "Use some common sense people. Unless you ride off a cliff, SOMEONE else is going to be involved in the death of that theoretical cyclist."

Maybe, if they are sharing the road with cars, but not if there is a decent separate cycling infrastructure.

The question is poorly worded. Are you asking about likely consequences regarding death and destruction, or are you asking about the lapse of judgment leading to the decision to operate a vehicle (motorize or not) while drunk, or are you asking about the legal penalties for each offense?

Either way, operating a vehicle while drunk is @#$ing stupid.
