All of the five films so far have their moments and watchability. I have to put my favorite as #5 ("Order of the Phoneix") due to its spot on take on human and government nature. The repression/security angle using Hogwarts' school as the guinea pig/scapegoat (nicely disguised as EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS) for all the chaos is totally believable and has many historical equivalents. It's also nice to see Harry stop his self-pity (admittedly somewhat understandable) and start to utilize his resources by teaching other students and friends.
My other favorites in descending order are: (2) Prisoner of Azkaban- the first really great one that established my interest in the series, (3)Goblet of Fire- entertaining, but with major logic loopholes, (4) Sorcerer's Stone - sense of wonder, (5) Chamber of Secrets- too long and loses Hermione too early. Here's hoping the last two films give the series a good finish! Thanks, all.
