Alright! It is time to declare Johnny Mathis as the hands down winner of this poll. VF is starting to cheat by giving high scales to the losers. A big hip hip hooray for all those Mathisonians who voted and comments for our angel of voice. Johnny Mathis is and will always be the greatest vocalist of all times.

Bing Crosby set the standard! Virtually all of those on the list owe some quality of their singing to him! When he started he did it without the sound and electronic equipment alamost all of those listed here had the opportunity to use.And up until his untimely death('77) he continued to make singing and entertainment in general look easy!

Dear GENCO I live in Las Vegas, only results count. From the results you can see that Johnny has a huge active voting following. As far as most ladies are concerned, he still has it all. Frank is good, Nat is good, but Johnny is the best... The man will be 74 in September and he still hits those high notes. His tender romantic voice still sends chills all up and down my senior spine. To quote DecemberChild, Go Mathis Go.

Johnny is Class with a Capital 'C' - great guy and a fantastic voice even after 53 years in the business and at the age of 73. Although there are other great singers in the list, John is way ahead of them all and deserves to win this poll.

I would like to make a wager that most musicans would say "Frank" hands down.

Sorry fella. Sinatra was great, but a little too macho. He was usually singing to his buddies. When it comes to croonin' ... REALLY doin' it... it's gotta be all about Johnny! I think there are 'a few' others voting here who would agree. Right ladies?

Excuse me.....but nobody did it better than Francis Albert Sinatra. Nobody!!

I am so thrilled to see that Johnny Mathis is leading this poll. He really deserves to win, as not only has he a wonderful voice and a long and ongoing career, but he is a lovely person and a true gentleman in every sense of the word.
I would say Sammy Davis Jr but don't think he fitted the category of crooner..he was more than that.and could hit notes most crooners couldn't.
Dean Martin is the best; and then B.Crosby,P.Como,F.Sinatra,H.Mills,A.Williams,T.Bennett,J.Mathis,A.Martino etc.
I agree with John...A farce...Torme beating out Sinatra & Crosby!!!
This is so rigged, it's a joke. All the singers are fine, but the voting is farcical.
