FACEOFF: In honor of the 4th of July: If reincarnated and placed into today’s political arena, would Thomas Jefferson be be labeled a liberal or conservative?

Jefferson would be a libertarian-Republican, such as Ron Paul. He supported transparency in Government; opposed Hamilton's centralized banking schemes - such as Ron Paul opposes the Federal Reserve; supported free trade - friendly commerce with all nations. Although he sought American support for the French Revolution, he would probably be more of a non-interventionist with respect to the current Middle East and N. Korea situations.

I do believe Mr. Jefferson would say send me back to America, now!!!

He would be sooooo disappointed with BOTH groups, he would probably stage a revolt! It would surely be an embarrassment to him to affilliate with these phonies, and those who support them. Can't see a guy like him hanging around with George B., Dick C. , Rush, Nancy P., Mr "footsies in the bathroom" or Mr. Boo Hooo Hoo from South Carolina. Bunch of fakes, if you ask me.

It's too bad Thomas Jefferson and the rest of our Founding Fathers can't walk in here today and clean house. They would restore order. Barack Obama and our corrupt Congress would be put in their place. As we are seeing, Obama has now idea how to govern a nation. The idiots that voted for him should have known this. Afterall, while he was in the Senate he didn't do a single thing!
