She was a wife, mother and grandmother first. She didnt go into the office every day. In the early years she did payroll ( in the 70's ) Other then that she was a mother raising her kids. Mr Madoff had a business ( the market making business) which made a lot of money. Why wouldnt she think the money came from that side of the business. She should be left alone. Remeber she has grandchildren. I would like to ask each "victim" how much money they put into the Madoff fund , and how much the took out over the years. Not how much was on their last statements. There are many people and charities who took out much more money then they put in. You dont hear them wanting to give the money back do you?

I would except for two things, I have been in the Financial Industry for 20 years and if she had a position at the firm there is no way she wouldn't have known... She didn't notice that there were no actual trades, not to mention the little thing called settlement. In other words when you do a trade it settles 3 days usually T+3 (today + 3 days) this allows all the back office things to happen. If she was the book-keeper please give me a f------ break. She like her husband and her dirty little boys Mark and Andrew all new and so did the entire firm.... But even worse the regulators had to have known they should be going to jail with the rest of them. Take all the assets from each employee they all need to pay......
