Can't blame those quick on the draw, Dale...the past several weeks the comics submitted have been rather week leaving little room for creativity

Dale, I liked the tanning bed entry! That was the best...I liked my blow-up effort, though. Crikey!I got my toast entry in early, because that's what counts!I'm starting to feel sorry for Becca, trying to milk the iTV effort.Brian, your third caption was better than the winner IMHO.

i usually toss out my first idea if it seems to obvious....the "toast" cartoon finalists proved me wrong.....who picks these things anyway?..a bunch of teenagers working at the tribune?....good grief...not very creative if you ask me.....you obispoins must be pretty dimwitted...

Congrats on the win Brian! Gotta agree with Steve, Becca's was pretty funny! And Dale's was great. Any one have any idea why two of this week's finalists are virtually identical. The rules say they won't do that... Hmm....

Talk about hackneyed and cliched! All three are among the most rudimentary of responses. Brain dead editors are the easiest to feed pablum to!

Glad to see others commenting here that recognize the mediocrity that is consistently rewarded.

Thanks, Nash, Cartoonguy one wins by knowing how to win on here, it doesn't mean that the entries picked are the best, they chose my least favorite of 3 entries I submitted last week, however the fact is the cartoons they provide have been seemingly getting worse as of late and more and more general, killing the creative process
