How can I audition???
I agree with Julie! Tell me where to sign up! :)
Come on! There are so many things that they would have to leave out in a stage production. Now, a trilogy on the big screen, I'd be there opening day!
Yeah Adam that is true but I really like the way that the theatre would make the audience feel as if they were really experiencing it, you know? It's alot more personal. However I do like your big screen idea. lol Make it all. Big screen, play, camp, I'd go to all of it haha.
I would probably go, just because it's The Circle Saga. But the truth of the matter is, plays really do leave out some good scenes. But then again, other than Harry Potter, books turning into Movies aren't doing so well. So, maybe turning into a play would be better. If the Circle Series turned it a movie, I wonder who the actors would be.
Yeah I would go, however I would rather have a movie not done by the ones who did Thr3e and House even though House was good. I want a real movie company working on it.
If the circle trilogy was made into a movie trilogy (can't fit all books into one movie....hello!), I'd go crazy! I definitely agree with Dale though, please not the ones who made Three and House. Someone who can make the alternate reality really come to life and the politics on Earth just as suspenseful as the Bourne movies. Maybe if enough people demand it, it will happen.....hmmm....
It'd depend on where the play would be touring. If it was a descent size tour and visiting major cities, that'd be great. If it was a one time showing at next year's Gathering, I wouldn't travel that far to see it.
I would probably go see it. I almost always love books over movies, but I would definitely be at the theaters to see these come out if they did. An i would agree with the others on even being in it :]
I would definitely go see it on stage! I love performing and watching theater, so this would be totally amazing! I know that it would be hard to do on stage, and some stuff would be left out, but I think it would still be awesome! Also, like others have said, I would love to be in it. :)
I agree...Auditions location?! I'll be there.
No Way. I hate it when i read a good book then imagine what the character would look like, but then see drawings or other depictions of the characters. That just ruins it.
At this point in time, I think the Circle trilogy could be reproduced more effectively on the stage than for the screen.
It would HAVE to be a musical with dancing though. :)
*dances in Circles*
I agree with Dale and Kath, if the Circle Saga was going to be put on the big screen, then Dekker would need to find a really good producer. The stage idea would be a neat experience though. I'm with the others though...I need a location on where to audition for this???!?!?!?!?
Would it be a musical? I mean, that would be awesome. Hearing the yearning cries for Elyon at the Gathering would be spectacular.
(apologies ... I stopped reading comments right before Leanna's....I didn't mean to be ignorant or redundant.)
I'm much more a movie person. But, if it were a movie it would have to be visually awesome too, like narnia :) It would disappointing if it was low budget i guess is what I'm getting at. I wouldn't say no to a play but I'd give a huge yes for a movie :)
I'd be worried that they wouldn't be able to do the story justice. It is so phenomenal already, why risk ruining it? I can only imagine it would be great as a film on the production scale of Lord of the Rings, otherwise, please don't risk it any injustices.
I love movies, too, but stage productions do have an excellent flavor all of their own. I'd audition if I could, but I'd rather direct or produce. I've directed and produced in the States, but I'm in Australia for now. Need any help with the company touring Australia? :)
