When specifying/purchasing building products, how important is a green label/certification (Energy Star, Greenguard, Green Seal, etc.) in your decision-making?



Extremely. I only buy products that carry that category’s green label/certification.

Very much. I insist on green-labeled products as much as their distribution/availability allow.

It depends on the price. I only insist on green-labeled building products when the cost isn’t significantly higher than a non-labeled product.

Somewhat. I care about the label, but don’t go to extraordinary efforts.

I only insist on green-labeled products when my customers ask for it specifically.

It’s not important to me.
