No surprises here. Half the vote is townies who want to keep the money in town, the other half is counties that only want to come into town for food and gas (if that).

How can the County get a bid on a project that hasn't even been designed, presented to the public for comments, had right of way or easements purchased or construction plans finalized?
It is easy to see that the traffic problem in the town is an issue but neither the western outer loop, the inner connector or the finalization of the 4 laning of Rte. 229 nor the other improvements currently on the Six Year Plan are going to solve everything. The past administration, including John Coates who had a transportation background, which allowed the town and the county to grow out of control with no thoughts to the future, including adequate proffers for road, school, or infrastructures improvements but in my opinion believed the continued growth of the tax base would solve everything which evidently it hasn't nor will it in the near future.
Culpeper needs new and solid ideas to "fix" it's problems and one road is not going to do that.
