It will survive if the governor or RI would ease up on the percentage the state takes from the casino. I believe they went too big to start with and now are paying the piper !! Drop the dogs and give the people a better payoff for their money as it was before all the new construction. People are scared off by all the bankruptcy talk and will not take the risk of just going and losing every time. A few payoffs woud help.

People do not want to go if they know the State gets 60%. Furthermore, we only go to play dogs, then play the slots. Much better when you could play dogs on first floor and walk out and see them. Governor is wrong - people do go to see the dogs. Has he ever been out there? Point system also stinks compared to Foxwoods and Mohegan. It is worthless. State would make more if they took less and let them pay off their debts. Restaurants leave a lot to be desired also.

Foxwoods it will never be with this greedy state.

Of Course it will survive. What a stupid question. It is the people who are running it that spend money like water, made the place a mess and now can not pay the bills. It has nothing to do with the slots or the percentage the state takes. The money from the games has NOTHING to do with the place. Think of two companies in the same mall. The Mall owners can go under and it has no effect on the companies IN the mall.
I do think it is also a way to get rid of the dogs. But when BLB purchased the place they paid way too much for it and then made improvements that were a total waste of money.
