My favorite was when Matt Maxfield and I went to ask our dates to our very first Sophomore year dance. His older brother Blake drove us because Matt nor I had our driver's licenses yet. I had my well thought out witty way to ask...I left it on Lindsey Richards door step...when I turned around to run back to Blake Maxfield's car...it was already gone...I ran for dear life to not have her catch me...this was before cell phones so I had to walk approx. 3.5 miles to my parents house...

I'm cheesy and full of puns, what can I say. I thought the sneaking around in the dark, asking and answering to dances was so fun.

My favorite dance was senior prom night when we decided to have a BBQ and poker night at my house instead of actually going to the dance.

The only memorable way of being asked I can remember was actually by DJ (my hubby). He gave me a note saying "I'd pea my plants" if you'd go to whatever dance, then gave me a plant potted in peas to search for the name. I'm afraid I have never been that clever and can't think of any creative way I asked.

Never one for the clever, messy invitations. My favorite was asking Heather Gross to prom. Took a knee, gave her a rose and asked her in front of her locker before 1st period. Short and sweet. She was so happy but wasn't exactly going to be late for class!
