There is a wealth of medical information on medical cannabis, but our government has chosen to ignore and suppress it. I invite you to educate yourself, to forget about the half-truths, rumors and outright lies- and read the scientific evidence, then decide for yourself about this ancient herbal remedy. I don't really care if it is good for some people. It's not bad enough for anybody that we should have all these insane laws trying to suppress it. An occasional joint is going to hurt you. Taken in excess, you can die from Hostess Twinkies. In neither case, is it the government's job to throw you in prison if you don't take care of your health.

I HAVE CANCER,UPON FINDING OUT MY DOCTORS WANTED TO ISSUE ME PROZAC,A HUDGE SUPPLY OF PAIN MEDS WITH THE BLINK OF AN EYE!I TOLD THEM NO THANKS AND UNDERWENT CHEMO WITHOUT EITHER,BUT I DID USE POT FOR BOTH PAIN AND NAUSEA AND TO EAT!WOULD HAVE BEEN ALOT LESS STRESSFUL TO OF NOT WORRIED ABOUT GOING TO JAIL,LIKE WHEN I WAS 19 AND GOT 6 YEARS FOR TWO JOINTS I HAD ON ME AT A FRAT PARTY.THAT WAS 32 YEARS AGO,AND THIS LAW IS WAY OVER DUE!I FOUGHT MY SENTENCE IN THE SUPREME COURT AND AFTER 3 YEARS IN PRISON GOT A PARDON.I WAS A FIRST TIME OFFENDER ALSO THE JUDGE SAID HE WANTED TO MAKE A EXAMPLE OF ME!NICE HUH?LEAGALIZE IT NOW!
The US Government has a patent for the medicinal use of Marijuana. You can't argue that is has medicinal usage knowing that fact. Here is the link:

There are enough health issues that are minimized by marijuana that the litigants that have kept it illegal should feel guilty for all the pain they have created rather than having had relieved anyone's suffering. I hope that some day people will understand how much even a little relief means to people that are suffering. In the meantime, thanks to all that have fought to get things this far.
