Test for all ages every 10 years!!

I know that many people claim that teenagers are more dangerous than seniors so say the statistics. However me being near 60 I challenge those same stats by questioning the hours driven by both groups. I doubt very seriously that a senior over 75 drives as many hours as his or her counterpart at 17. Maybe if the stats showed the that we all could agree that the testing of seniors is a good idea. I for one think it is and I am on the end of the scale which will be required to take that test in a few short years.
It seems that lately you cannot turn on the nightly news and not see another accident involving a senior in a car accident. We make fun of a car driven into a CVS or doctors somewhere in the US every tiome it happens but it isn't funny. Politicians are afraid to tackle the problem because of the large voting block that it consists of. Yet we are faced with the ever growing problem as we all are living longer. It is hard for us to give up our independence and sometimes we have to take steps to take some of it to protect others. We don't think twice at stopping at a red light when told, yet it is in a way taking away part of our independance of just going anywhere, anytime we want. Life just isn't as simple as black and white.
