Not interested in seeing Kris Allen as the headliner, lol! What a joke. Adam waming up for Kris? Even funnier! Ummm...not.interested. Save my money to see Adam perform solo! This is a world trend.
yeah, and you're probably saving yourself just in case adam is bio-curious. you are sick.
Boy, Neil. You are so smart! What exactly is "bio-curious" anyway? Does that define one who is curious about the life sciences? Lol!
Since I am male, I don't need Adam to be BI-curious ("Bi" as opposed to "bio"). He has informed the world via his awesome cover story on Rolling Stone, that he is gay; so if I am ever become "bi-curious", I will have to let Adam know.
Why am I sick because I have no desire to see Kris Allen... "Mr. Mediocre, vanilla, can't hit high notes, monotone, guitar strummer" headline? How is that "sick"? I find him to be "so-so" and don't want to waste my money and support this Idol-crap voting system--like MANY people out there! Additionally, I heard that Idol producers have added a finale with Adam and Kris "dueting" so people won't leave after Adam like they did at the season 2 concert before Ruben did his finale. So sad that the winner can't even do his own finale like in past years. GO ADAM--THE TRUE WINNER!
I made a vow only to attend the concert if Adam, Allison or Danny won. Since it was the unlikely Kris, I couldn't be bothered. What a boring set of 5 or 6 songs by him. I'd fall asleep, quite literally!
Wow, what a bunch of bitterberts!! I like Kris! He's not just a singer, he's an artist! :)
We're not "bitterberts" we are just honest and not afraid to say what is obvious to most people! The Bitterllens are the ones who cannot handle that Adam's popularity has eclipsed any chance that Kris may have had.
This will be a great concert! Imagine getting to see and hear your favorite and ALL the other great talented idols!
I don't know about a "great concert". This year there are too many 'top 10' performers to whom I do not care to listen. In previous seasons, there were maybe 2 performances I had to zone out during, this year I think I'd be ignoring 70% of the concert. There is a shortage of real talent in AI8--very top heavy. I am not enthused this year
Where did the other poll go? I wanted to post something.
KH - You're right! It won't be that great.... Adam is doing Bowie - I had hope he would finally do something original - we've already got a Bowie, we don't need another.
KH - go to top right - view previous polls
I thought a bitterbert was someone who didn't like Adam. Anyway, good luck on the TCA's Adam!..... and Allison!.... and Danny!.......Not Kris, I don't like him.(No offense to Kris fans.....Or Kris) BTW, the Jo Bros are hosting the Teen Choice Awards!!!!!! I'm excited!!!!!!
I am going to see ADAM & ADAM ONLY! Forget Kris. Adam is the TRUE WINNER. I love you Adam! (:
CK - I don't think Adam can do anything original until he releases his first album. He's got a few pre-idol original songs. If you're interested I think you can find them on youtube.
Nie - I didn't mean his "original" music from his album - my complaint about Adam is that he NEVER did any original arrangements or change-ups during the entire contest - Adam (as good as he was) never made a song his own with a change-up. He "duplicated" music with almost "perfect" covers - but was never criticqued by the judges like all the other contestants were - for example: Lil - everything she did wasn't changed up enough for the judges, Kris' Aplogize was another they thought he could change up more. I thought the contestants were suppose to bring something new to a song and make it their own? His cover of Bowie sounded like Bowie... I'm not familiar with Muse - but a lot of bloggers knew it was "Starlight" by Muse - so I'm assuming that's another perfect cover. Yeah, I'd like a link to some of his original music links. Sorry... Just when I started to like Adam, he lost me after that 20/20 interview - not because he's gay, because for the first time I thought he lacked sincerity.
CK- I'm sorry, but that is total BS. He was original the whole competition. He had some songs where he was mmore using the arrangement of the artist, but with his voice, but even then, he aced those songs.
JC: Yes, he has a great voice - but where was he "original"??? He did a great Robert Plant, Gary Jules and Wall of Voodoo - he aced them as covers - but other than his "stage arrangements" he never made them his own. Where was his change up?
JC,
How ya doin' big guy? I have to ignore ck's post trashing Adam. This is the reason I only pop in now and then. It seems that people look for reasons to demean Adam's talent no mater where you turn.
But, JC, for the record: 20/20 interview was awesome. Adam was, as expected, at his best. He was honest, intelligent, intriguing....I have so much respect for this man. Adam's so-called inability to "change it up" is what I would refer to as "reaching". Adam, by virtue of his expansive octave range and unique vocal ability does not have to completely change the arrangemnt to leave his personal mark. While 'Ring of Fire' arrangement was certainly original, as was the arrangement of "If I Can't Have You" --it matters very little since Adam is considered the most original AI contestant ever. Smokey Robinson applauded him for keeping "Tracks of My Tears" low--without the high notes-- falsetto that the original vocals had (and we know damn well that Adam was capable of that!). "Feeling Good" had more of a torch sound with Adam's version (for those who have heard the original). It seems silly and childish to argue such a senseless point, doesn't it? If you don't like Adam--fine, but stop with the nonsensical arguments, guys! Have you heard any of the judges, any media outlet or article claim that Adam was a "sound-alike"? The notion is preposterous. I am not saying Adam is perfect---but if you have to pick on something, be realistic. Adam does not have to resort to the "change it up" time and again--he changes everything--just by singing it!
Hey All--
I don't like the angry crap here so I'm not returning. I get a sense for when the shit storm is about to hit so I'm not hanging around for it. It takes a while for the Adam-haters to show their colors and to twist and manipulate their "opinions" to make their prejudices known. I am waiting for a certain someone here to convince us that the sky really isn't blue and that bears don't really shit in the woods! If anyone is interested in honest, opinion-based, adult conversation about AI send me a link to another site or e-mail and I'll join in now and then. Happy people only need apply! Bless you Jesus. Maybe in the after-life we will finally meet!
King H- Everyone has the right to post their opinion in here and ck didn't say or use any foul language about Adam like other people do in this forum. It's always like this, but if you don't agree with someone then they get on your case about it. So I didn't see anything wrong in what she said.
I'm not angry or trying to change your mind KH - my original post was quite positive about ALL the contestants - then the "hate" posts followed. It appears that most hate posts still come from Adam fans - and believe me, I'm NOT trying to convert you or anything - no singing contestant is worth that much effort. For the record, Ring of Fire WAS NOT an original arrangement. I guess the only "honest, opinion-based, adult conversation" is one that totally agrees with yours..... Sorry - don't leave, I will.
Bravo King! We all know ck is a wolf in sheep's clothing.... you and Jesus were simply more patient than most. I no longer post here because of ck and her entourage. I will stop peeking in altogether too. I knew it would be a matter of time before she got to you and Jesus! I'll see you on your other site--the one with the Anoop interview and Cookie club. Do I have your permission to post it here for other "happy" people to access? Do you still have the same e-mail? I never got a reply.
King Herod,
Say it isn't so! Love you. See you at the other blog.
king h - feeling good was a cover of muse's version.
I dare Rickey to make the next poll who people think in the top 10 was the most original idol, bet you anything, it would be Adam!
okay, okay.... I lied... I came back. I thought about missing Nie and JC - I was trying to find a parking space today, and someone must have changed the radio station to light fm.... and guess what came on JC???? The Climb... followed by No Boundaries. HOHOHOHO And if you read Kris' chat - did you notice what song he would have chosen from his birth year (as a joke)??? You Spin Me Right Round! I just had to post you....
CK- Oh. What a coincidence. Thats so funny.
Yeah, very strange cause I only heard of The Climb last week when I checked it out on youtube. And I've never heard Kris on the radio. Hey - did you listen to the "Want" single?? I kinda liked it - but it got mixed reviews on the comments.
HI CK, JC, NIE, AND EVERYONE! CK.....I'm glad you decided to come back! I was afraid everyone was drifting apart! I have missed our conversations! I had never heard of "The Climb" so I have just checked out the video. It was really a first class well done beautiful video. I woke up to my radio alarm a couple of days ago to a new song that really put me in a wonderful dreamstate, and I have fallen absolutely in love with this new song by Incubus called " Black Heart Inertia". Check it out and let me know if you like it. Two other great songs by Incubus are "Love Hurts" and "Drive". They'll get in your head and not leave!
QS: Where you been? Did you get all the TV's going? I was hoping you'd be back. I loved the singer's voice. Favs are "Love Hurts" and "Drive" - the video was cool with the drawings. Thanks! Nie: Are you still there? Give me some popera.... JC: Mental was good this week. Did you catch it?
Nie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZJMyVapy4Y - I found a lot of music for this guy.... I liked the music, but thought his voice was rather weak. But you're the expert in this area. What do you think? I like the lyrical sound of those 3 chicks - Illumina - but they're a little "too soft".
If I lived in the States I'd go see the Tour. Thank goodness for Rickey! LOVE YOU RICKEY!! Thanks to you we got to see the Finale Live and loved every minute, especially you! haha Your reactions and facial expressions were priceless!!
About the Adam-Kris cr*p, I didn't care who won out of Adam, Allison and Kris (don't like Gokey) but to be quite honest, I think Allison should have won. She's amazing!
In the end, I'm glad Kris won, 'cos I LOVE his voice! Think he's a great musician, artist and performer. Pity a lot of you can't differentiate between blandness and subtlety in conveying emotion through music.
While I love Adam too, as a person more than as a performer, (only liked Tracks of my Tears and one other... Mad World, I think it was), I do not like the tone of his singing voice - more suited to musical theater to my taste, no matter how hard he tries to sing otherwise. I do not enjoy listening to him at all. Watching him is fine though. He's gorgeous!
Just find it ridiculous that so many Adam lovers aren't capable of grasping the fact that people have different tastes. A lot of people dislike Adam's singing style. Get over it! You're not doing him any favors, by making people feel sick of hearing about him!
ME: Where are you from? What other artists do you like?
I live in Israel.
I like a lot of other artists, different musical genres from different periods. Probably too many to mention. The ones that come to mind right now are the late, great Luther Vandross; James Taylor (big fan), Sting, Queen, Simply Red, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, The Frey, Elliott Yamin (my all time favorite Idol), Evanescence, Ne Yo, John Legend (big fan of his too), Linkin Park. Could go on forever.
ck: Just read the post where you mentioned that Adam's "Ring of Fire" wasn't an original arrangement. True! When I heard it, immediately knew I'd heard it before, then remembered - Dilana! She was my favorite on RockStar Supernova. Absolutely amazing!
HI ME! You sound like a knowledgeable, interesting, and educated person! I love Linkin Park too. Have you traveled much or have you ever visited the USA? I am also very curious what your life is like in Israel. Over here, it sounds like there is just constant turmoil going on between Israel and Palestine. Do you feel safe, and what do you think of President Obama?
Hey CK...... It's amazing how many procrastinators there are when it came to this digital conversion! I will be involved with this through July 14th. And I will be working every Tues., Sat., and any other days the FCC needs covered till then. That means I only have a few more minutes to play with you before I need to get ready and go to work today. I work from noon to 8pm. When I get home I should be able to pick up where I'm leaving off.
QuietStorm: I wrote a whole long reply to your post and then my PC cut out! very frustrating! I'll make it short, just in case it cuts out again (and before you have to go). Firstly thanks! I've travelled in Africa and Europe, and once in the States (which was amazing!) My life in Israel is very much like anyone who lives in a small city in the west - work, home, kids, friends, making ends meet - and we don't feel any threat to our safety. The threat is on a larger, national-political level - the fear of war and renewed terror attacks. The problem is very complex and deep rooted and I'm not sure if a solution can be found in this generation, with extremists on both sides. I'm not optimistic. I hope Mr Obama can make a difference. Not sure what I think about him yet - waiting to see what he brings to the table - but I do admire him!
Have a good day at work! :-)
Big shocker-CK is back. Boy, couldn't have called that one!!!! I think I'll pretend I have integrity, but I really don't so here I am!!! Thanks for Driving away one of the two interesting people away from this site--King Herod and Jesus.
"ME" you sound like another Adam hater in disguise, incarnation of CK and TLC and Grimoire. Go to "Kris Allen Nation" and post about your boring, off-key, unalented idol who is going nowhere in real time!! .........and leave us alone. Another CK, Grimoire clone. Get lost with your BS about your background.
CK-go forclose on your house, rent with your sister and then try to find some friends. You are so annoying. WHEN THE "F" ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO LEAVE--FOR GOOD?????????
TALENT RULES:
ME is ck. pretty obvious. but they will both keep denying it. it will be fun to watch!
TS: So you're back on Troll Patrol? I remember you from Grab Your Tour Tickets and another Rickey poll. Back then you called yourself a number of things.... TS, Luke, roar!, (.), N and a host of other multi identities including two Iraqis. LOL I'm assuming you are also Talent Rules (who doesn't appear on any Rickey polls) and yet Talent Rules knows everything about Grimoire and TLC from other Rickey polls. Grimoire isn't even on this poll at all. Interesting - You're the one that has many identities and yet the pot is calling the kettle black. YOU GO AWAY WITH YOUR LITTLE POTTY MOUTH! Leave JC and KH out of this. YOU are the trouble maker.
ME: There are a couple of jerks that post here once in awhile. They're some type of "haters". QS, Nie, JC, TLC and Grim are trustworthy. Don't play their game and they'll leave cause they have "integrity". LOL heheheh hohohoho
ck: That is so funny! LOL!! what a jerk!!
This was the first time I've commented on these Polls - didn't even expect anyone to 'reply' to my comments... so was pleasantly surprised when you and QuietStorm replied.
Thanks for the heads up about the jerks and trolls. They're everywhere!!
TALENTRULES: you are pathetic! I'm not an Adam hater by any means and didn't write anything "hating" about him, but you're too blinded by your obsession to see that. It's "fans" like you who harm their Idol. Like the claymates did and still do. If someone is not orgasmic about Adam they're automatically a "hater". Get a grip! And get a life!
ts/talent rules: you both suck each other.
Talent Rules and TS.........Life is just way too short to be acting this way. I know you have better in you and I'm inviting you to bring that part of you to this page. There is much we can learn and enjoy from each other, so why spread ill will towards good people that simply have a different opinion from yours?! So come on, put a more loving attitude forth towards people you don't even really know! I'm sure you'll like yourself better for it.
CK--so when exactly are you leaving????????????????
Oh, Neil! Now, THAT hurts! I.Think.I.Am.Going.To.Cry.....
CK, YOU are the "coupling of jerks who post here..." not me. I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
Good Morning Me, Ck, JC, Nie, King H, Neil, TLC, TS, and Talent Rules, plus the whole rest of the world! It is an absolutely beautiful day here in New Mexico! Have any of you ever visited this state? I came here from Colorado in 1978, and since then I have to say that I have discovered that there is a very unique charm and mystique that the southwest holds and calls its own. Many of the worlds best artists, authors, and celebrities live here. There is much desert and mountain beauty, and it is so easy to fill yourself with that peaceful feeling we all need when you take a drive and see the countryside. Thanks to much Indian reservation land even around Albuquerque, this city has a really laid back country feel to it, yet we have many great restaurants, shops of every kind, and if you ever have the chance, come see us in the fall when hundreds of hot air balloons fill the sky! It is just something you have to experience to know the feeling it will put inside of you. I would love to hear from any of you about any topic you would like to talk about! Pick a subject!
ME and CK.... Are you still here? I've noticed that people are moving on to the twitter poll, but with the poo storm that has started up so immediately there, I'm not wanting to partake over there at this time. ME....when you visited the states, where did you go and what did you see? What is your opinion of Americans? CK....what are you doing on this fine Sunday?
QuietStorm/Me: Hey - nice to have you back. TS and Talent Rules have gone to the twitter poll and hopefully will stay there. TS is causing a lot of trouble. Just hanging this Sunday. We've had rain, rain and more rain for days (weeks) and it's getting to everyone. I met up with some friends this week for lunch. It was nice seeing everyone - I haven't seen them in awhile. QS: Saw a show on cable and thought of you... it was about a guy that specializes in antique "rabbit ears". Some of them are real works of art. I bet this conversion confused a lot of people. Did you see my other post - that I liked "Drive" and "Love Hurts". ME: I tried to find Dilana on youtube, but couldn't.
HI CK! Well I went ahead and posted a little comment on the twitter poll in hopes it will turn things around but I know better than to hold out too much hope. I understand that Incubus has a greatest hits cd out and I'm hoping it has all three of those songs on it. I went to Best Buy but it was sold out. Do you have Best Buy stores in your area? I think that Black Heart Inertia may grow on you if you hear it some more. I find the arrangement, and the way he uses his voice so amazing, and I love watching him perform in the videos! Okay, I have a little fantasy crush on him, as unrealistic as that is! And I so love that lyric "Lover can you help me......I'm a child lost in the woods" Oh My! Sighhhhh! I hope ME comes back to talk to us!
CK... Talk about synchronicity and coincidence! Right after my last post I put on the video "Love Hurts" and while that was playing, I looked up at my TV which I had on mute and CNN is doing a story on the lead singer of Incubus Brandon Boyd. Turns out he is a very brilliant artist! They showed his art and it is so detailed and sophisticated! WOW! My crush on him has just deepened! LOL!
HI CK, QS, JC and everyone!! Sorry I've "disappeared" for so long but I've just returned from a short trip. Wow it smells like war on the twitter poll and I'm not sure if I want to go there. I come back only for our silly but sweet talk. Are you guys staying in this poll?
HI NIE! I'm glad you're back! I may have put the fire out for now on the twitter site. No one has said anything for awhile now. If they aren't attacking and hurting someone, I don't think they know what to do with themselves! Perhaps a good clean hobby like stamp collecting would improve their lives! LOL Where did you go on your trip? I'm thinking that for now this site might be the best place to stay for now, especially for CK since she's under attack, though I must say she is handling it with good wit and humor!
Hi ck, QS and (some) others! haha Don't know what's with my PC - once again was replying to you two, almost finished and my PC cut out again! Maybe TS and TR put a curse on my computer! Anyway I'm on my son's PC and rushing again, since it's after midnight here and I have a heavy workday (and week) ahead. QS - when in the US, I was in the SF area for about a week (family and friends) and LOVED it, a night in LA (crazy place!) and a few days in NY, which I also loved. Had a blast, the whole trip! Really want to get back to SF and NY and get to see a whole lot of other places! Get on really well with Americans in general and have quite a few American friends here and in the States. ck: you can see Dilana's "Ring of Fire" here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whtQZJ7R3EU&feature=related
and you must see her "Lithium": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOgDfBstJAE and "Mother, Mother": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXDXGp7vj3w She's ridiculously good! Love her!
Have to get to bed. Have a great day and a great week. Will check in when I can during the week (probably sneak in some during work, to read your posts).
BTW do you guys post somewhere else too?
Byee
HI ME, or should I say Good Night! Great to hear from you! I'm hoping we'll just stay here to talk, but you can see that Rickey put up a new poll about twitter and CK and I have left a comment or two there. The problem is a poo storm started up immediately on that site so I think we are waiting to see if we really want to be there. I'm thinking we may have better luck staying here.
Nie: OMGoodness! You're back. I thought I lost you forever. You know I love you. What kind of short trip did you take? Somewhere across the globe???? JC: I know you're out there somewhere, somewhere, somewhere... TLC and Grim ~ please come back. How was your move TLC?
QuietStorm: The sun came out for a short bit today - so I went for a walk and enjoyed the outdoors for awhile. I went to listen to "Drive" again and found they have their own channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/incubustv?blend=1&ob=4#all/favorites-all/0/zxPcmi1U25g - these guys are very big! Do you think that he did the drawings in the video ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QY4FvpmmbiU ??? Oh yeah... he's cute. Did you watch the 50 minute documentary http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1vhiFoIAe4? I'm in the process of listening to it now as I'm posting. They just talked about his artwork on their cd and YES they did the art drawings on "Drive" - interesting story... Did you ever listen to JC's Hedley? They're really good also. I have a Hedley fix almost everyday.
ME: Thanks for the links. I'll check them out while you're sleeping! YOU HAVE A SON?? I pictured you this young, hip, intelligent, savvy college student living a carefree life! QS, Nie, JC, Grimoire13, TLC and myself have been posting on Rickey for poll after poll. If you look at any of the older polls with a lot of comments - that's us. If you go the the Recovery Poll -http://answers.polldaddy.com/poll/1661681/ - we discussed religion, ghosts stories, music, books, pets, and revealed a lot of personal info. I don't think we ever really discuss Idol too much. Hope you stick around!
ME: Oh yeah... I watched this show - I did recognize her name. The band really liked her, but in the end I didn't think they would pick her to front the band. Funny, I can't recall who they picked... She's good. Rock Star isn't on anymore, is it? Thanks for the links! I've never been to SF - I hear it's a lot of fun and excellent seafood. QS: I'd love to go to NM. It must be beautiful!
ck needs to get a life. She is so lonely. ck--Maybe your alter-egos can all return to keep you company? One day you decide to leave the blog and the next day you post incessantly--which is it? You are so desperate, aren't you? Poor thing. Hope you choose to leave? Poor desperate loser!
Hi everyone. I'm back and as usual, I suck. I hate gay Adam and will pretend to be a quasi-fan so I can stealthly inject me ignorant hateful commentary. But now my new alter-egos will take over to destroy. You know them all. If they act up, then they will be reintroduced.
Expect to see me resurface under the guise of setting someone straight. And then my true identity will be revealed.
Hi ME! Looks like Grimoire 13, ck, tlc are expanding their identities. How cute!
Hey I'm famous here too since my id is here with everyone else...hahaha... Don't they ever quit???
If I'm the poor, desperate loser that you describe me as, why do you continue to waste so much of your time following me around - like a stalker? I want you to know that your desperate attempts to upset me has had the complete reverse affect - I'm actually laughing my cute butt off at you! You have somehow empowered me by making yourself look sooo foolish not only here but on other polls also. In life you reap what you sow.... better plant some new crops there TS - you might harvest a personality.
TLC - Yes you are famous!!!!!
ck- That was a real good come back.... LOL
CK! "you dumb twit" and "go twit yourself" had me laughing hysterically! I still laugh out loud every time I think of that now......that was soooo good! You might as well have fun with this! It doesn't look like they are going to take up stamp collecting or some other hobby any day soon. And I hate to say it but this banter between you and them is pretty entertaining!
QS: Did you watch that Incubus documentary? It's fifty minutes long, but good.
Good Morning CK! Thank you so much for turning me on to that Incubus documentary. It is freaking awesome! I most definitely want to buy their greatest hits cd after watching that. It makes me appreciate the musical journey they have been on through the years and they all sound like very sane and intelligent guys as well. I also checked out Hedley who I was not aware of before. I checked out at least 6 songs. At times his voice seems a little scratchy, and of the songs I listened to, I liked Gunnin and Trip the best.
ME.....Since it is morning here, I imagine it has to be evening or night in Israel by now. I hope your work day went well for you. CK and I have been talking about Incubus and I was wondering if you like them. I am so hooked right now on their songs "Love Hurts" and "Black Heart Inertia". They keep playing over and over in my head. I am so glad you got to experience San Francisco. Years ago my ex-husband and I owned a sound company, and we went on tour with alot of famous bands and people. On New Years Eve of 1979 we provided sound and lighting at the Cow Palace for Journey, Van Halen, Eddie Money, and a group called Starwood. That was an exciting and an absolutely amazing part of my life. I was only 27 years old at that time and so thrilled that I got to meet all these amazing and talented famous people. It was truly a dream life with lots of incredible memories and experiences!
QS: Yes, scratchy - but I do like it... I especially love "Old School". Seems like we both like those repetitious, haunting sounds with great lyrics. It's raining here AGAIN - I'm trying to picture the sun and hoping it will come out. TLC: Did you move yet? Nie: Did you see my past post - I've been dabbling in popera, but not sure what I'm hearing is any good... JC: Come back - I never watching videos, but flipping through the channel this morning, Miley was on 3 stations - "The Climb" is a big crossover hit!
HELLO CK & QS! I had a shopping & eating trip to Taiwan over the weekend. I felt like I ate all I need for a whole week just in those three days... I also bought quite a lot of books that I think I may need later. Things are sooooo cheap over there :) LOL CK I'm glad you are promoting our ghosts, pets, books and childhood stories to ME. HELLO ME!
QuietStorm: Oh my - that is sooooo exciting!!!! Eddie Money is doing either a movie or Broadway Show on his life. I still remember hearing him for the first time and ran to buy his album. What a poor quality his album was - it skipped, returned it 3x's and they all skipped. I love Eddie! I'm not a big Journey fan, but they are very good - and of course, I know the words to all their big hits. 1979 - Eddie Van Halen was REALLY, really cute! So let me ask you.... David Lee or Sammy - who did you like better with the band?
CK - Sorry I missed the post but I just chekced it out. I'm not a popera expert... but ummm... that Krassimir Avramov guy isn't really my cup of tea. To me he sounds kind of like Greg Pritchard from Britain's Got Talent... If you want more popera, try Rhydian. He is the winner of Britain's Got Talent two years back I think. This is a Welsh version of "Anthem" from the musical Chess: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aZRRO7y13A And Rhydian's You Raise Me Up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlhbV1ssEDY Vocally he's great (at least to me - an untrained ear) but I think he can do better with a little bit more emotion... which makes me want to post also Josh Groban's version of both the songs for you :D Anthem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-dvNa_5DL8&feature=related You Raise Me Up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zi078JXbs0&feature=related
Nie: I didn't like him either. I'll try the other links a little later. So did you take the trip with some friends or Mom? I could really go for some good eats in Taiwan myself! Maybe next summer! LOL
Hi ck, QS, Nie! Mid evening here (QS - you were right!) - just dropping in to catch up. I read the comments on the other poll (thanks for the link, ck!) on and off at work. Interesting stuff! LOL! I do believe in ghosts, or 'spirits'. Scared to %*^$ of them. Never seen one but have 'sensed' other 'spirits' at different points in life, like my favorite Aunt who passed away suddenly just before my 16th birthday. I knew she was gone before I was told, because I sensed her in my room with me that morning, just as the phone rang to let us know... I like the way you imagined me ck! "young, hip, intelligent, savvy college student living a carefree life!" Sounds great to me! haha especially the part about a carefree life. I wish! Let's say I'm young at heart. Actually have 3 kids, two of whom finished school a couple of years back. I understood that you're in Canada, QS - you're in NM, and Nie - you live in Hong Kong and are due to go to Britain soon. Did I get that right?
To continue... ck - I don't think there was another RockStar season after Supernova. Pity. I really loved it! There were some great singers - besides Dilana, I loved Magni, Toby and Josh. Didn't like the guy who won - can't remember his name. QS - never heard of Incubus but listened to "Love Song" and I think they're really good! How amazing to tour with famous bands and work with Journey, Van Halen! Wow!! Some great memories for you there! Nie - popping over to Taiwan for some good food? Sounds great! Would LOVE to go to the Far East - so many places I'd love to see! On the other poll you were talking about having a British upbringing - well we have that in common. I was actually born and raised in Zimbabwe, which was Rhodesia at that time (revealing my age here...). Rhodesia was a British colony so my upbringing and education were British too! I also have the 'spelling' thing - changing my spelling according to what I'm writing and where. We also had a fair amount of American influence, via TV and music; lots of American TV shows and the music of the times from both the US and the UK.
Have to logout and go do some stuff. BTW, have you all followed previous Idol seasons? And who did you like in the last few? May BBL Have a good day all!
HI NIE and CK! I just got through leaving a post for TS on the twitter poll asking him or her to also join in on our conversations. You did the right thing CK taking the high road with TS . Sammy or David Roth! I have a funny story about David. My husband and I got married right after a tour on the road with Journey and Van Halen. We chose Tahiti for our honeymoon, 3 days on Bora Bora and 7 days on Moorea. On our first day there we are walking around the Club Med village and who do we run into ......David Lee Roth hobbling around with a cane! He had fractured his ankle trying to do an eagle spread jump on a stage for a photographer. If I remember the story right he fell off the stage! He was at Tahiti to re-cooperate. What a small world after all! He came over to our hut that evening and I remember him commenting about women. He said it is an absolute smorgasbord out there...any kind of woman you want you can find! Being the son of a rich California doctor, David was pretty full of himself . What was funny to watch at that time was him trying to pick up on the wife of a neurosurgeon. They were from Canada and she had no idea who he was and didn't care. He got shut down! So I guess even rock stars don't always score! Sammy or David? I'm betting Sammy is the nicer guy, but David brought the excitement to Van Halen and was a great front man with his martial arts training and show off ways. Plus his voice fit the band well.
HI CK, ME, QS. CK - I went with my family - Parents, two aunts, two uncles plus a little cousin. Yeah go to Taiwan!! I'm sure there's much more to do other than eating and shopping over there lol. ME - Yes you got everything right! Glad to know you have a British education too, so you'd probably understand my problem. I'm kind of "handicapped" when it comes to changing the spelling. My finger always either hesitates or hits the unnecessary "u" in American spelling before I can stop it... *sighs* I have followed a few seasons of Idol but I don't always have a favorite so I'd better just list the idols that I like. I really really like Carrie Underwood and Michael Johns. Thought Anthony Federov, Carly Smithson and David Cook were good too. I liked Katherine Mcphee when she was in the competition but once the show was over I don't like her anymore. And this season I was mad about Adam! Needless to say that I love the way he sings, but more than that I like also his personality. He seems so daring and fearless and always so comfortable with himself. He doesn't care what the world thinks of him at all and that's how I have always wished I could be. (I have not succeeded in being so yet...)
Hey ME! I'm so glad you believe in ghosts! I know they exist! There is so much more to this world than we can even imagine. Sometime in the daytime you should type in Ghost Videos in your computer and watch some of those footages! Watch the ghost car caught on police video, demon caught in the forest, ghost caught in the Phillipines to name a few. I have to watch in the daytime and even then I find myself getting jumpy! I have a friend who was a CNA [ certified nursing assistant] and she took care of old people at an assisted living residence. One day she happened to look out a window and saw one of her men patients standing outside by a tree and so she started down the hallway to go get him. On the way, she went by his room and glanced in and was shocked to see he was lying in his bed. He had just died! I knew her well enough to know she isn't a liar or prankster. Another friend of mine who is totally no nonsense and didn't believe in ghosts had her own experience when her mom-in-law died. She and her husband were sitting in the living room of his moms apartment and had the front door open since it was a warm summer day. All of a sudden they both noticed these sparkling little lights floating down the hallway, through the living room and out the front door. She said they resembled like what you see when you look at a lake with the sun shining on it. And right after they saw that, they went to check on his mom and she had just died!
ME: You actually read ALL that stuff??? We're a little crazy, aren't we? But it's a lot of fun! I enjoyed the first season when they were looking for a new lead singer for Inxs. QuietStorm: David Lee is quite a character! The last clip I saw of him was sometime last year - he was singing a corny verison of "Jump" with a hillbilly band. Everyone prefers David Lee to Sammy - but Van Halen never had a #1 hit or Gold Album until Sammy - so go figure. Nie: I see you as fearless! Look at all you've accomplished and all your travels. I can't imagine picking up and moving away to another country from my family for most of the year. That takes courage. Regarding spellings... I do computerized typesetting for a company that makes exclusive handmade invitations - Wedding, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Birth Announcements. Most of the wording uses the English spellings honour, favour, etc. It confuses the heck out of new employees - they're like "should I fix the spelling"?
I've got a story for you... I was driving home a couple of hours ago and on the street where I live I see this large, black "helmet" on the road - and then this little head pops out and back in as the car in front of me passes it. It's not a helmet - it is an enormous turtle. I pulled over thinking I could pick it up and take it back to the lake - but it was too big for me. So I called the police department to come help me. I think they thought I was nuts, but they came anyway. Whew!!!! I didn't want him to get hit by a car.
CK.....I am so glad you cared enough to help that poor turtle! How much do you think he weighed? Most people wouldn't have bothered, and a few people would even try to deliberately run him over! I have seen people try to run over dogs, rabbits, cats, anything living....only God knows what they get out of hurting or killing an animal! Sickos!
I have a great question for all of you! What is your favorite" part "on a man? I came up with this on the twitter blog asking CK that question. As for me, I am definitely an eye girl. If a man doesn't have beautiful eyes, I am much less likely to be attracted to him.
QS: I'm not sure just how heavy the turtle was - but he was too big - more awkward for me to lift up, I didn't want to drop him. Two cops lifted him - maybe because it was easier that way... Answered you on the other blogg - yes eyes.... tall, lean and toned - but no muscle bound type. Good hair helps.
CK...Yeah! I Definitely need hair on a man's head....lots of it! The only bald that is beautiful to me is a bald baby!
Poor ck. so sad. maybe we can all throw you and grimorie and all of your other imaginary chum a party! would you like that? do you fancy parties? don't feel so badly, everyone goes through rough spots where they lie and mislead perfect strangers. well, not everyone, just the very weak and desperate of our human race.
Terri - Hmmmmm..... yes!...... a party would be rather nice. I think we'd all enjoy ourselves. QuietStorm can do the entertainment. JC can be the bouncer at the door. Nie can be in charge of the food. Grim can bring her famous potato salad. TLC can be a gogo dancer! TS: Are you going to the Idol tour or can you make the party too???
ME: Of course you must come to the party too! Terri will get back with all the details.....
Boy O Boy O Boy! A PARTY! CK we should celebrate your fame! And Talent! Rickey should do a new poll on you.....How many people think CK is Grimoire and all the other characters on this board? We can turn this into mystery theatre!
Yes! Mystery Theatre!!!! QuietStorm loves a good who-done-it!!!! LOL
well, since ck (a/k/a: 1/2 of the other chums on this board) has so very much time on her hands, I do think she should throw the bash! Where do you find the time to post so often? and such long postings! Are you out of work dear? On the dole? Can we help? I hope you find employment soon so you won't lose internet access too! wouldn't that be a shame ;)
Does anyone know when the Jonas Brothers will be releasing their next CD? CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Terri: Who exactly do you mean when you say "Can WE help?" Are the WE TS/Talent Rules/Luke/roar!/ (.), N, K, anonoymous/Terri/Pinky? Look - don't worry about me - I'm a big girl and did fine all these years WITHOUT your help!!! LOL!!!!! Though all of this attention is somewhat flattering in a "creepy" sorta way.... Come on TS... both QuietStorm and I have asked you to join the posting - but obviously, you just want to continue to be a twit. And per your previous post YOU were going to throw the party..... "we can all throw you and grimorie and all of your other imaginary chum a party! would you like that?" What - are you backing out on hosting a party???? Come on guys, tell Terri we want that party!!!!!
ME: Sorry... I don't follow the Jonas Brothers. But TS twitters them, maybe TS knows.....
I'm so elated! ck has all the time in the world so she will plan the party and I will host once I get back from WORK! My JOB keeps me busy. Wow--to be free of responsibility must be so liberating. What a joy it must be having absolutely nothing to do, ck!....oh, someday...
You guys stop fighting!!! and btw... anyone who has time to criticize people he/she thinks are fake must have alot of time............ :)
Welcome ME, and just wondering, is the name your initials, or just refering to yourself? CK and others- I wonder where Ellery went...
TLC is bazooka too (in a past life). Remember????????? They used to post on the same page month ro two back. Remember Grimoire,,,errr...I mean ck?
Or shall I call all of you 62.169.871?
JC: It's about time you came back.... I was wondering about Ellery as well. She's a nice girl.
CK- I've been busy with this summery weather here... I've read most of the posts thought
TS: Compared to all the other nasty names you've called me, 62.169.871 is probably the nicest.... but you'd be wrong - go ask Rickey, he'll tell you.
JC: There's been nothing but rain here. Do you go hiking? I love hiking.
Terri - It's called multitasking. So what type of work do you do?
CK- Oh i wouldn't mind some rain it has been hot and humid here. I hike maybe once or twice a year when igo on vacation or camp somewhere. Do you hike? I'm not the most athletic.....
JC: Haven't done much hiking lately..... I like to swim and I use to ice skate a lot when I was younger. No, I'm not that athletic myself. I've actually never been camping.... LOL! We could use some sun here - but I'll pass on the humidity. Nie: What's the weather like by you?
CK - I'd love a party! But if I should be in charge of the food I think we may all end up in a hospital lol... Thanks for saving the poor turtle who lost his way! I missed my little turtles like hell when I was on my trip... And thank you SO much for the compliment on bravery. But to me travelling around is more of a "necessity." I just don't like being stuck in one place for too long, especially when I'm living in this small dot on the map. Ah we are having an oppressive heat over here. It's VERY warm, humid, cloudy and stuffy. Yesterday a guy died at home because of the heat... QS - I love your question! To me it's definitely the hair and hands. I like piano and artist hands... Beautiful eyes and smile kill me too...
Nie: Yes... nice hands. We're putting together a really good looking guy here. Eyes, hands, hair..... There's a lake down the road from my house. About 2 years ago, there was a tiny, tiny turtle crossing the road and kept flipping on it's back trying to get up the curb. But we don't see that many anymore. Now there are hundreds of bunnies here... hip hopping all over the place. This rain is terrible! Temperatures and humidity haven't been too bad so far. We have many senior citizens who die cause of the heat. Nie, I hope you have air conditioning.
ME: From Zimbabwe to Israel? That's quite a move. Do you go back home for visits with your family? You and Nie have much in common - education and travel. QS: So tell me... Did David Lee make a move on you in that hut? I wouldn't put it past him. LOL!
Hi ck, QS, Nie, JC! First of all, some twit posted a question about the next Jonas Brothers album, using "ME". That wasn't me, ok? I'm hardly likely to be a Jonas Brothers follower at my age and really have no interest in a Jonas Brothers album, as sweet as those three children are. haha! Deliberating whether to stop coming here altogether... don't really have the patience for imbeciles. Will see...
ck: Yes I actually did read almost all you guys wrote, especially since it was a whole lot more interesting than what I was (supposed to be) doing at work! Also, it was a good way of getting to know more about you. Thanks for the "party" invite. More details please? haha About Zimbabwe-Israel - the last time I was in Zimbabwe was in 1979; my immediate family all moved to South Africa around about that time, so I haven't been back altho' I'd love to go! It was a truly beautiful, special place!
JC: "ME" is not my initials. Just wrote that so I could make a single comment on the Summer Tour poll, not expecting anything further to come of it. Don't do much commenting, blogging, etc these days. Just by chance saw ck's reply.
Nie: Wow! The heat and humidity in HK sounds like where I am! The humidity in Summer here is pretty insufferable.
QS: I'm with you on the "baldness" thing. Not my thing. Eyes, smile - both important.
better get back to work...
BBL
Have a good one!
ME- oh when I started posting I was kind of the one who tried to keep everyone under control with my holyness but it didn't really work, and now the chaos is coming back on the other poll which is too bad. How many polls did you look at? Becuase there have been about 4 or 5 maybe. But the one with the ghost stories was the most interesting. I've always wanted to go to Isreal because my father said that it was beautiful (he went there a few years, maybe 5, ago). QS- to answer your question, for me its probably the smile, and I don't really like it when they have bad teeth honestly. CK- you've never been camping?!?!?! I love it so much! It's so fun and I've camped all over but the prettiest place ever is Yellowstone. Have you been there? Its amazing.
ME- I hope my name wont offend you....
ME: Didn't think that post about the Jonas Brothers was from you. JC: Never been camping.... though both of my brothers went on camping trips all the time. So you were into the ghost stories??? Do you watch the ghost car video?? Nie: I liked Rhydian, but Josh's verison of "You Raise Me Up" gives me goose pumps every time I hear it.
ME - YES! The humidity in summer is totally insufferable! Just curious, why did you choose Isreal? It doesn't seem like a popular place to move to. I haven't been there but I hope I'd have the chance. I've been to South Africa though. SA is my second favorite country, just after Norway. It's sooooo beautiful over there but I didn't get to go up to Table Mountain due to bad weather :( CK - Don't worry I do have air conditioning. If not I'd have been dead already. Glad you like Rhydian. But I made a mistake, he was only the runner up, not the winner. Josh gives me goose pumps with anything and everything he does LOL. JC - Rather than trying to keep the chaos under control you'd be happier ignoring them. I tried to reason with people but failed so I chose to just leave.
Nie: Did you check out the home page.... Michael Johns is on there.
CK - Yes I saw that! Rickey doesn't seem to like his album... I'm gonna wait and see if I can find any preview of the songs.
JC: Your name doesn't offend me. LOL!! No reason why it should. About the polls, I took a look at the Twitter poll and decided to forget about commenting there at all. Not relevant for me anyway. The poll where I read what everyone wrote was the one with all the Ghost stories. Interesting! You should come to Israel some time - very different. In some places the combination of ancient and modern is quite striking!
QS: Your ghost stories yesterday gave me the chills! Especially the one about your friend's mother in law. I swear I had goose bumps and chills down my back just reading that!
ck: Was just looking back through the comments. I like the fact that you tried to help that turtle! I love animals, all kinds, and hate to see them suffer. The only ones I can't bear are snakes and creepy insects! Very into cats - domestic and wild. One of my dreams is to play with a lion or cheetah cub. You guys have mentioned different people who were on Britain's Got Talent this year. What did you think about that guy who sang "Ain't No Sunshine"? I loved his voice! Loved the two dance groups as well - Flawless and Diversity.
Nie: I originally came to Israel because of a boyfriend - we were on a Kibbutz for a while, then in the city. After I left, I missed Israel a lot and decided to come study here. Did my degree at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem - it was GREAT! Had the time of my life there! Also met my (ex) husband there; marriage, kids etc.; have been here ever since. You should come here sometime and see what it's like. Great place! I've been to South Africa many times - my second home, because my entire family is there. It really is a beautiful country! Don't think I could live there though.
QS: Those "lights" floating down the hallway remind me of the light orbs on that ghost show. Oh my..... ME: A girl I worked with went to a Kibbutz for 1 year. She loved it. I'm only familiar with a couple of Brits got Talent, but it seems more interesting than America's version.
ME: We had a big discussion on bugs and insects. I'm sure you must have seen some big uglies! The only bug that doesn't creep me out is a "firefly" - those I like. JC: Don't you come across a lot of insects on your camping trip? Do you ever watch I'm a Celebrity? They're in Costa Rico - boy do they have bugs - along with snakes and other creepy crawlers.
simple math:
ck=ME
JC: I know who've said that you haven't kept up with "Mental", but if you can catch the reruns you must try to - each story is really good. Nie: You've just been everywhere, haven't you? See - you are fearless! Do you camp?
HI NIE, ME, CK, and JC! I had to work today till 8pm. I'm sure some of you are probably in bed by now. ME...I hope you will decide to stick around even when this goof ball imposter tries to mess with us. We all need to just ignore him. New Topic: Camping! I did my share especially in my early twenties after I moved to Denver and had the Rocky Mountains in my backyard so to speak. Lots of good memories! One sticks out in my mind! A few of my friends and their friends whom I had never met all got together to spend a day and night together camping. The rivers can run fast and hard and a couple of the guys decided to go in. One of them got caught up in the rapids and went under for at least 40 seconds or more. Just when we started to fear he was a gonner, he finally popped up! That was Scary! Also, later that night, there must have been at least eight of us packed into a tent. I had developed a crush on one of the new guys so I made sure my sleeping bag was next to his. On the other side of him was another girl I had just met. Well as crazy as we all were back then.....He would take turns kissing me and then her. Did I mind? I would have preferred all his attention, but hey, it was still a trip to heaven! OOOH LA LA!
QS: OOOH LA LA! I'm smiling and blushing at the same time! LOL - From your previous posts, I can guess the around the year you speaking of - those WERE crazy times! Maybe I shoulda gone camping....
Hey CK! I thought since you were on the east coast that you would probably be the one in bed now! Are you a night owl?
Those were disco good times! LOL
QuietStorm: Yep! I'm up early in the a.m. and stay up late at night - always... even as a kid. It's about 1:10 am now and I'll be up at 5 am in the morning! I just can't sleep late and don't require much sleep. I guess that why I always ran into the ghosts while everyone else was sleeping. LOL Interesting camping story....
CK.... I'm not crazy about camping now! Give me a modern cute cabin with a hot shower and a cozy fireplace, sitting next to a lake or river! My favorite quick getaway is Pagosa Springs, CO. If you ever have a chance to get to Colorado you have to visit Pagosa Springs and Estes Park! They are incredibly beautiful. And in Estes Park is the haunted Stanley Hotel where Steven King wrote that one story, can't think of the name, Jack Nicholson starred in the movie.
CK! You mentioned that you would like to move. If you really want to shake up your life and put more sunshine in it, consider a move to New Mexico! You already have a built in friend! Santa Fe is only an hour away. Taos is three hours out. And Ruidoso is a beautiful mountain town about four hours away. You can research all of this and see if it sounds good to you. Then take a trip and visit the area. We haven't been hit as hard by the recession as alot of the states. I love it here!
CK! It's midnight here and 2am where you are....are you still awake? I have a feeling I'm alone!
HI CK, ME, QS, JC. QS - Yes it turned out you were alone lol. Did you mean "The Shining" - the novel Steven King wrote? I LOVE the movie! ME - Wow I've always thought moving to a country just because you love that country so much is very romantic! I've never really liked the place I live in but I've never thought of leaving it for good even though there are many other countries that I like so much more. Why can't you imagine staying in SA? It's such a beautiful place, though it seems a bit dangerous and scary at night... CK - I slept at 4:10 am last night so I win LOL! But how can you go to bed at 1am and then wake up at 5am? When I have nothing to do - no class, no paper to write, no revision to do, no meeting/gathering/dating - I'd never get up before 12! I guess this is probably just the "HK style" lol.
HI NIE! I was just about ready to call it quits for the night, it felt like I was the only one awake at this time. It is now 3am here. I don't have to work tomorrow so I can sleep all I want as I need it. Often, I like taking a nap in the afternoon. Seems like I always get drowsy around 3pm, especially if I'm up late. How are you doing?
QS and Nie: Sorry - I did go to bed at 1:30 am. Tossed and turned most of the night. It's 4:47 am!!!! I was an insomniac for about 7 years during my late teens and early twenties. Not sleeping at all is probably the worst thing in the enitre world! I use to read incessantly, exercise, college, work, marriage - go, go, go. My brain just never shut off back then! When I first got married, I'd make up stories to just to get my ex up to keep me company. When there was a real emergency he said "Yeah... let me know when the fire trucks get here!" He eventually got up when he heard the sirens! LOL I can't remember the last time I slept past 7 am. And if I make myself stay in bed, I get a headache. I do love getting up early when the house is quiet... and no one is up. I get my bills paid, color my hair, light cleaning and wash - Oh yes, for me there is nothing sweeter than sleep!
NIE........Thank You! The Shining is what I was trying to think of! And the most scientific of the ghost groups "Ghost Hunters" has been to the Stanley Hotel at least twice and caught strange stuff on video and audio tape. If I remember correctly, they caught a closet door opening by itself, and also a drinking glass sitting by the bed on a table just shattered by itself for no reason. They saw a ghost peeking around a corner too!
QS & Nie: The time line here is whack! I can't tell when to expect anyone to log onto the blog. Jack Nicholson was good in that movie. I read that book too. Yeah... those little cat naps are sweet. I use to work a lot of overtime and on a Saturday afternoon once I sat down, I could nod off. For me, that comes with age... Nie: Did you start your summer reading yet? I still haven't made it to the library to get "The Historian". QS: NM sounds like a wonderful place to live! I do check out different areas all the time - now that I'm older, I'm also a little "chicken" to pick up and leave the area. I'd miss my brother terribly and I haven't been well this past year. So.... you never answered my question - did David Lee hit on you in that hut?????
Hey CK.....welcome back! Do you dare try anything like Tylenol PM? About the only thing that makes me toss and turn is if I'm worried about something. What puts me to sleep fast is reading, which I hate. I'm lucky if I make it 5 pages into a book before I'm falling asleep, and I love books.
LOL! I was a newlywed on my honeymoon with my 6'2" husband by me, so no David Roth didn"t hit on me. However, do you remember Michael Martin Murphy that sang "Wild Fire". He lives here near Taos. We did a show with him at the Paolo Soleri outdoor amphitheatre in Santa Fe. After the show, I went backstage to meet him. He had gone through a divorce and had a new girlfriend, and I'm pretty sure they were already engaged. Well I met him just outside the door to his dressing room and he was standing next to her. She stood to his right. When his eyes met mine I saw him "light up" I swear to God! And he stared at me and didn't take his eyes away and I did too, until I suddenly felt the stare coming from her and I suddenly realized we had been looking at each other for an abnormal amount of time. There was no doubt about it we were drawn to each other and couldn't do a damn thing about it! Who knows what would have happened if only we were both free to have taken that somewhere. And he has beautiful eyes on a very handsome face. There were two other famous people as well that lit up when they saw me but I didn't feel what I felt with Michael.
QS: You're still up????? I'm not a worrier by nature. I think I tossed last night because I wasn't really sleepy when I went to bed. Many years ago, my doctor told me not to watch TV in bed and not to read - he thought I was "over-stimulated". At one point, I was working a full-time job, another 32 hrs at a part-time and tutoring students in hospitals and still didn't sleep. But things are much better now - but I will try Tylenol PM since you recommend it. I've been bouncing back and forth between here and twitter poll. I guess Nie and ME are asleep. JC: So do you have any interesting camping stories? Run into any bears? There are bears rummage through the condos where my brother lives.
CK... Yes I'm still up, it's now nearly 5am...I can't believe it. I should be dead by now. I have to admit I'm getting tired, so I'll probably give up here soon. This is a little crazy going back and forth with the twitter poll. I kinda like it, and kinda don't if that makes any sense!
QS: Michael Martin Murphy was a good looking guy! That must have been a very exciting time when you got the chance to work and meet all those different groups!
CK ,,, I just left you a post on twitter. Life couldn't be more exciting back then. I met my husband at a Kris Kristofferson/Rita Coolidge concert at Red Rocks State Park. I was so in love with Kris! I got there early morning and got a front row seat. My future husband was mixing sound on stage. After Rita opened the show, there was a brief intermission while they prepared the stage for Kris. During that time my future h. came to the front of the stage and motioned for me to come forward. I was in shock! He asked me if I wanted to go backstage after the show! Unfortunately by the time I got back there Kris was already gone! BooHoo And that's the way it all started!
QS - I hope you have gone to bed lol! It's nearly time to get up. Yea the Stanley Hotel looks really creepy in the movie. Especially on the lawn and in the lobby. But you know, in the novel there isn't any ghosts. They are all illusions of men. But of course in the movie adaptation there is a beautiful naked ghost. I haven't watched that episode of Ghost Hunters. Not that I think supernatural things don't exist, but I always take these kind of TV programs with a grain of salt. I find you guys' stories more credible than TV programs'. CK - Lol I'm not asleep yet. It's only 20:08 over here. I just took a shower because of the heat... I love sleeping late and getting up late. My brain doesn't shut off at night just like yours and refuses to get up in the morning. Lol I haven't started my summer reading yet... *sighs* I'm wasting my time debating with my lecturer on facebook whether or not my first language is useless... My point is, an European language as mother tongue gives more advantages.
Well gal pal, I'm fading fast. I'll be back later!
QuietStorm: Kris Kristofferson??? The ultimate bad boy with good looks! I do love good facial hair - no Ziggy Topps need apply. Remember all those 70's movies with Kris??? Mostly bad flicks - but who cared? He looked so hot in A Star Is Born. Another hottie was Barry Gibb. Say whatever you want about the Bee Gees, but Barry at one time was the total package!
Nie: Your first language is Chinese? It has become one of the most popular and requested language classes in high school around my area. Many here think it IS the language to learn today for business (over Spanish). I met this lady at my son's karate school, and she said it would be difficult to teach because of the many different dialects and subtle differences of meaning. Do you understand German - or do you communicate with your friends there in English?
CK - Yes my first language is Chinese. But the problem is, I don't speak Mandarin, which is the "up and coming" language, but Cantonese, only a dialect. I write/read Chinese but am not good at it... Funny how when I communicate with my friends from HK on Facebook or MSN, we use English too... So I don't think my first language gives me too many advantages... I've studied German for a year but it's impossible for me to do any real communication except maybe introducing myself... So I speak in English with my German friends.
Well, Nie.... your written English is far superior to most people I know. Yes, the lady I spoke with said that she really couldn't help her sons since she doesn't speak Mandarin. Can I ask a personal question? I have often heard that people who speak more than one language, THINK in their original or first language. Is there any truth to that?
CK IS A DOUCHE BAG. SHE IS THE FORMER GRIMOIRE 13. SHE IS A MEAN, NASTY DOUCHIE BITCH. IGNORE HER RAMBLING POSTS. SHE IS BORING TOO!
"Ouch".... I think.... TS - you've got to calm down. All this ranting is not good for you and is getting you nowhere.
I will ask you the same question here as on the twitter poll. What did CK say to you that hurt you so bad that you feel you have to keep this behavior going on and on and on? You surely realize this is sounding so grade school with the name calling.
QS: Did you see my post about Kris Kristofferson? I love this guy....
Quiet Storm,
She claims that the term "Douche" is fine to use while addressing someone. She has no problem with it so I know this could not be insulting her. She thought it was fine that Pinky was reduced to a "douche" by the asshole poster Neil who, btw, posted homophobic items about Adam on this site. Anyway, it is fine because ck thinks it is a benign term to use when addressing someone. Unless, she now tells us otherwise, we will continue to refer to her as such.
If it really gives you peace of mind to call her a douche bag, I think i know CK well enough to know she is woman enough and strong enough to take it. And I bet if I call her a douche bag, she'll take it and laugh as it should be. So I'm gonna try it and see what happens......CK YOU'RE A DOUCHE BAG!!!!!!!!!!!
QS- LOL, you are a character.
HI TLC! How are you doing? I feel like I'm Don Quiote fencing with wind mills!
CK, I bet I saw A Star Is Born at least 20 times, and I have a copy of it in my cabinet. It seems out dated now but I thought it was such a good movie back then. That is what made me fall in love with Kris. My ex told me he is really a unpretentious really nice guy. I wish I could have had a chance to gaze into his beautiful blue eyes!
QS: Don Quiote??? What group is he with? LOLOLOLOL and "Why are you so mean to me?" LOLOLOLOLO I've seen all of Kris' movies - even Heaven's Gate - which was like a 4 hour dud but who cares. Did you see the one with Burt Reynolds when they were football players. Oh my... he was hot in that one. Those country boys really love him too - so you know he's a good old boy. I was crushed when he married Rita. TLC: Did you work on your tan today? Can I ask you a personal question, do you do your yard work in a bikini so you can tan? LOL
CK! Do you know what broke up their marriage? Kris made that movie "The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With The Sea" and did a photo spread with the leading lady [can't remember her name] in Playboy as I remember. Now I'm not one to buy Playboy but I sure did that issue. They were love scenes and in one she was standing up in the bed and his head was at her crotch. Needless to say Rita wasn't happy! And I guess he was drinking too much as well. Recipe for disaster!
QS: No... I didn't see that issue. But I can't imagine it would be easy to be married to him - he and his cronies are real bad boys. Do you have work in the morning? ME: Where have you been today???? I hope you didn't leave. Nie: did you get out of bed at all today? JK :)
CK, No work tomorrow thankfully. I'm thinking of going to a lake about 30 miles away and looking for some pollywogs to put in my pond. My chocolate lab is a frog killer! She got 4 of them! I still have at least 5 left, but I would like more since they eat bugs and I love to hear them croak!
QS: It's after 3 am here and I'm actually tired now. Nite.
Have fun at the lake tomorrow!!!!!!
CK - Thank you but you know, when I submitted the first draft of my diss., it came back with lots of "awkward wordings" remarks from my advisor... :S Yes it is true that people usually think in their first language when speaking their second lang. E.g. it's common for Chinese speakers to say "Open the light" while they really mean "Turn on the light," or "I'll back this afternoon" which means "I'll be back this afternoon." Lucky for me, my Chinese is bad enough to make me not want to think in it. LOL don't ask me why I'm so bad at Chinese, I can't really find a reason. I wanna ask you a question too. Is it true that in America it's compulsory for students to learn a second language in college? Lol I got up at 12:30 today :D I was listening to Adam's songs again yesterday before bed but I forgot that he's not the best thing to soothe your brain off... So I was tossing a bit in bed...
Quiet Storm,
"I think I know ck well enough..." What? Do you think you "know" her form this board? Are you serious? The psychology of these boards allows one to have a seperate identity unknown to all. People lie all of the time. That is the plain, ugly truth. You do not "know" her at all. Well, since everyone likes to refer to her as the "Douche Bag", I think I will encourage all to address her as "ck, the douche bag" from here on. You did, others did, including me . So, it's official. She is not offended by the title and even her friends whom "know" her best" (lol!) call her a douche bag. LOVE IT!
Nie: Good morning Sunshine. Sorry, I don't know what the requirements are IN college. I needed just two years to get into college; not required in college when I was a student. Now it's 2-3 yrs for college prep, but my son's high school said the better universities are requiring 4 yrs. of language. Maybe JC, ME or Ellery would know....
TLC: Are those roses from your garden? They are beautiful! Nie: Did you take psychology? I took a lot of child psychology for the education portion of my degree. I did not like philosophy - my professor was boring...
Nevermind, CK :) I'm listening to Michael Johns' new album right now! HOW CAN RICKEY NOT LIKE IT????!!!!!! He does some of the songs from his debut album in this new album again and they are great! Love it! And have you heard Adam's "first single" called Wanted? Doesn't sound like what he does at all lol...
If given the choice, I think I'd prefer Summer's Eve or Massengill...... LOLOLOL
CK - No psychology for me. I took one philosophy course though. Wasn't too boring for me and I got good result, so I'm OK with it.
Before I forget to answer TS about TLC being Bazooka- she is right. I was Bazooka back then but someone kept using my ID so I changed it to TLC and also got a Gravatar which seems to be helping a lot. Sorry I didn't mention this to all of you back then but I didn't want to let the ID crooks know what I did.
ck- No way I wear a bikini when I'm working out in the yard...LOL.... I use to when I was younger but the body started to spread in all different directions so no can do wearing a bikini anymore...LOL. And I did change my Gravatar picture cause I love flowers but also to let you know it's still me. No ck those aren't my flowers but my mom's from many many years ago. She's gone now but I took that by her place when I was in my early 20's. QS- you are doing great in defending ck and you are making me laugh at the same time...LOL I wish they would leave ck alone already because this is really getting out of hand.
TS- The IP address that you put down there isn't even close to what mine is so you are soooooooooooooooooooooooo WRONG!!!
CK,
I think you would have been a great addition to a college "Abnormal Psychology" course. Just think of the insights you could have offered.
NOBODY is picking on ck the douche bag--she said that the term "docuhe" or "douche bag" is not offensive and gender neutral. She has no issues with being labeled as such.
Hey--anyone want to get to know "ck" better? Go over to "Ameridol updates". She posted (trolled) under many of the headings (you may have to go back a little) as "ck" and you can see how much of a bully she was to other people there. It will give you a good taste of our own ck/grim.
ENJOY!
TLC- you're bazooka too? really? Aren't you the one that went to see Danny Gokey live? Or am I wrong...
JC- Yes I'am Bazooka and I'm sorry that I didn't tell you that and the other good ppl in here but I explained why up there. Yes I was the one who went to see Danny Gokey in Milw., and he was fabulous. OMG but was it ever crowded... 29,000 ppl there.
CK, THE DOUCHE BAG- I think you made your point already so pick a new subject already, will ya!
dude, i sent you a bottle of tequila. just type the password to let out the worm on the bottom of the bottle.
TLC- I think i tried to stop a fight between you and some other adam lover... can't remember the name...
TO: TLC/Bazooka:
Okay. So why did you change your name? I am curious as I do not understand. EVERYONE CHECK THIS OUT:Go to previous polls, check out the poll titled "Who is You Favorite Top 3" TLC and Bazooka both posted anti-Adam threads to each other (toward the bottom of the comment page). One actually addresses the other--she is posing as two seperate people. So funny! And right here she is forced to admit that she is both TLC and Bazooka. So odd, and dishonest. Everyone try to guess who ELSE TLC and Bazooka is!!!! Answer to follow...with more evidence. Confession time TLC/Bazooka??????
CKTDB- no she doesn't... and btw there is a person on the top 3 poll names "JC" and that itsn't me except for 1 time when i say "so i'm a joke?" but the other JC isn't me if anyone goes and looks at it. TLC- I looked at some of the other polls and the bazooka comments have your gravatar...thats cool... but some of them dont... so are they all you? Or just the ones with the pictures?
I'm to stop addressing anyone who is being mean to CK, TLC, QS, neil, myself and others, so if anyone else is with me..... and if it gets to bad in here i'm boycotting and not coming back.
the password is d-o-u-c-h-e. the worm is out of the bottle, sorry dude.
JC- The one's with the pictures on it is me and without them isn't me so that's why I decided to change ID's. I got so tired of someone being me and saying things that I didn't say. I'm not even going to reply back to this other person because she sounds really stupid to me. And I'm with you about boycotting JC.
TLC/Bazooka: Of course you have to say that you won't reply back BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO WAY TO DEFEND YOURSELF! Why did you talk to yourself and pretend to be 2 different posters conversing? There was no need to do that if you were trying to change your identity. You are a liar. PERIOD.
Everyone who is not Grim, ck, tlc and bazooka. Youa re all playing a game with known trolls. Get a clue.
TLC- do you know anywhere else to post? Ya I figured some of those posts weren't you becuase they were kind of... welll... yeah... i think i got a sign from God lol
neil- stop participating in this useless battle and just ignore :)
we must turn the other cheek
CTDB- Okay I guess that's a fair question to ask and I can see why you would be confused about that. I answered back to Bazooka because he/she didn't say any thing bad on the posts and I just agreed with it. I also figured since he/she liked the name I would let them use it. But you don't have to believe me because I don't care. JC- I would love to go and post somewhere else but if I mention it here we will get this same crap over there with them following us. Do you have any suggestions?
TLC- do you have a youtube account?
jesus, the battle ended when that dude ate the worm.
I like TLC better anyway... It suits you more! My, TLC.... I loved the rose story about your Mom and this gravatar is soooo colourful. The "u" is for Nie. LOL Yeah, why was Rickey so unfair to Michael's new CD? I don't get that. JC: Thank you... THE SUN CAME OUT, THE SUN CAME OUT!!! I went to the shore for a few hours. Can't tell if I have a sun or wind burn - but ouch!
ME: I taped America's Got Talent and will speed through that later. Is your PC still out of commission????
ck, do you go to lbi?
Liar--the IP addresses match. What do you think...that everyone buys your bull? Do you think everyone here is that stupid?
Just heard Michael Jackson died.....
better drop the id. the more you type d-o-u-c-h-e, the quicker the worm will spread through your system. tlc - he doesn't have any ip addresses.
neil - I use to go to LBI a lot about twenty years ago. My boyfriend's family had a house on the bay in Manahawkin. We were there almost every weekend - but after the first few time, I got sick of it. He and his family were big time drinkers - nasty drinkers, so there was a fight almost every weekend. The last time I went, he called me stinking drunk and said he crashed the Sea-Ray into someone's back yard - come pick him up. Yuk! LBI a little over-rated anywayt - no great place to eat or hang out.
neil: Why ask? Do you go to LBI?
Idiot "bio"-curious, 9th grade educated neil strikes again. Well, if I cannot access IP addresses to prove my point (got a confession out of tlc/bazooka didn't I?) then tlc/bazooka fraud has nothing to worry about. Neil: IP addresses are not "secret" information--they are public knowledge you ignoramus, dunce and btw, YOUR ip address DOES NOT come from NYC. Would you like to fess up before I do?
She has already admitted, only when presented with overwhelming evidence, to being 2 (but I know there are more identities....) people pretending to have a conversation, so do we need more proof? I will print the pertient conversations here for all to see.
ck is he still your boyfriend?
neil, pleaassee - give me more credit than that! Over and done with that a long time ago. No more drinkers.
My IP can come from any place I tell it to.
TLC: This character is sounding more and more like Notsayin' - with all the threats. oooooooooooo
ck, sometimes. i have a house in loveladies.
I will not go to the tour. We are paying to see Michael Sarver, Megan air head, Scott pity-me, Matt yuck-o, Lil-so-so...need I say more? If they want to sell tickets, have a concert with Adam, Allison and Danny, maybe let Kris and Anoop sing one song. I'd consider going then.
How has everyone been?
HI IAN,,,,,How have you been? Long time no hear from you! Watcha been doin?
Hi Quiet Storm,
Not up to much. What do you think about Michael Jackson? Man oh man!
Hi guys!!!! Something really, really creepy happened to me earlier this morning. I went to the basement to put in a load of wash. When I came back up the stairs, I walked directly into the kitchen - from the basement door that there is a clear view of the entire kitchen. I went over to the sink and to my right I felt this like 7 foot dark shadow kinda swoop down on me. No kidding - I actually flinched till my knee were almost touching the floor!
CK that gives me chills! Can you think of any logical explanation that would create that shadow? Did you see it full on, or from your peripheral vision? Did you feel cold air or a change in the temperature? See, I'm turning into a ghost investigator! What do you have a feeling this was all about?
lan, That is truly shocking about Michael! This seems like a strange day!
HI NEIL! Is loveladies a town or a neighborhood? And how was your day?
ck,
it was probably just grimoire 13.
a town at the beach. i only go there on weekends or long vacations.
good day. that f_____ing jackass swallowed the worm from the teqila bottle i sent him.
neil- you are cracking me up with the teqila bottle thing...LOL
ck- Tell more about your strange experience in the kitchen with the dark shadow. That is scary.
TLC and QuietStorm: It was on my right - I actually turned my head up and it was towering over me. No cold, no temperture change. But not scary... I just went back to putting the dishes into the washer. It was just but weirdly creepy cause everything has been quiet here for years.
ck- I think if it would of happened to me I would of stained my pants LOL. The unexplained kind of freaks me out.
TLC: Oh..... my blood sugar probably just dropped. :) neil: I spent most of my time at the other poll, I didn't read all the posts thoroughly till now. What did you mean when you said "My IP can come from any place I tell it to."??? Nie: Did you spend all day and night in bed? We didn't really chat today...
CK - Thanks for the "u" in "colourful" LOL!! I LOVE Michael Johns' new album! I've listened to it for like three times already! Lol don't you really think I sleep THAT much? We just had bad timing... But seriously I'm kind of tired of what's happening here and am dropping in less and less...
Nie- me too.... i find it rather annoying. I believe we should all NOT respond to this person (you know who i mean....) and then it will be ok. Even if he/she refers to you, just ignore...... becuase then there is no leverage.
Nie: It's really hard to figure out what time you'll be here - Rickey's time is sooo confusing. I am not surprised you aced philosophy! I only took that course because one of my best friends kept telling me how great philosophy was!!! When she came home, guess who she brought home?? Yep, her philosophy professor! I was only 18 and, yuk.... he was like this old man. She married him a few years later.... I listened to "Wanted" and I thought it was pretty good but clearly Adam wants to disassociate himself from it. Really shocking news about Michael Jackson. Gotta check out Michael Johns.
JC: I know that you are probably the smarter one of this "twin"ship on this issue, but sometimes in his babbling and ranting, he just sets him up for a one line zinger. By the way, it's raining here AGAIN.
Hey, leave ck alone. She is a pathetic, lonely, lying, unemployed loser with nothing better to do! So what if she leis about who she is and creates multiple identities. There are many idiots like the ignorant uneducated neil who like her. So give her a shot! She has nothing better to do with her time--let her post more boring fabrications. Why not?
JC - Yes that's probably what we should do. I hate meaningless and unreasonable arguments. CK - I'm confused by Rickey's time too. Which coast is that time from? I'm good at calculating the European time but don't know about the American time at all. Lol honestly I wouldn't be interested in marrying a philosophic old man... I do enjoy reading Nietzsche but I still find him a mad man... "Wanted" is an enjoyable pop song about November and December lol but it sounds more like a Miley Cyrus or Taylor Swift song... I'm not surprised that Adam does not want to have anything to do with it. Do check out Michael Johns (our own MJ), I really love his album.
I think you are ALL sick, not just a select few of you. JC excluded.
Nie: I can't find the link to Michael Johns that you were talking about. Do you have it? Thanks!
CK - I got it from here: http://www.smokinnewmusic.com/2009/06/michael-johns-hold-up-my-heart-new.html - Enjoy!
Nie: Thanks for the link. However, it ran so slowly that I never got anywhere on the site. I did find a list of songs and found some live performances on youtube - very poor sound quality, but from what I heard I liked it ("Fools Gold" and album title). This guy is soooo cute. I love Aussies! We had a no power last night due to thunderstorms. I coulda used a couple of your torches! LOL
CK - Yes Fool's Gold is my favourite!! Have you watched this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Xt0gOeI3Lg
NIE and JC......I think we are all posting now on the twitter poll so leave this one behind and come join us!
Nie: Yes, I saw that video and it's a good one. I like this guy. I'm not sure about Rickey's comment. At first he said he didn't like it, but somewhere else in a his blog, I thought he said it was good. During that season, I did want him to win. Not feeling that well yesterday or today. I'll catch up with you tomorrow hopefully. Hi JC.... maybe gone but not forgotten.
JAN- um thanks.... I think.... ok I'm going to the other poll now!
What other poll? Are the freaks on that one too? I want to talk Idol without all of the freaks!
They aren't freaks
I am worried what neil is going to do to himself with that tequila bottle. ick! I am very scared! He seems obsessed with the gay people. neil, are yoiu gay too? why are you so obesesed with the tequila bottle and with the douce guy? does he turn you on? IS it due to the shape and width of the tequlia bottle. Oh yuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow that cracked me up lmao
NONONONONOONNO! NO! TOUR BAD!! BAD season 8 except for ADAM!! KRIS SUX AND SO DO ALL OTHER 'CEPT ADAM AND ALLISON <3 <3 <3 <3
