Did this cop go too far in Tasering granny?

This cop went too far. He didn't even bother using manual force, instead went straight for his taser. This lady is 72 yrs old and half his size, how would she possibly pose any danger. Seriously, there must be some law against unproper use of tasers just as there is for riot gear (i.e. rubber bullets, tear gas). Just hearing this old lady scream can make anyone with a heart cringe.. but cops aren't people like us.

and another thing: how can he expect her to obey his commands while he's tasing her?? like wtf? does he even know what a taser does? he's yelling at her to get on the ground WHEN SHE"S ALREADY SCREAMING IN AGONY ON THE GROUND. incredible the lack of intelligence in some law enforcement. perhaps these cops should go back to school instead of being paid to enforce laws on their own behalf. this guy should seriously be sent back to probey school.

She was afraid standing out there on that busy highway. Couldn't he hear it in her voice??? Anyone could. Why does she have to stand out there to get a ticket anyway?? This cop was an idiot. And I like cops! But not this one.

Come on, folks!!! All the old gray-sters want to still be treated equally, when they drive through store windows and kill kids on sidewalks. She did the crime, she should do the time. If you want to be respected as a proper old lady, act like one. There are no more classy old style ladies anymore. She refused to submit, she should be taken down. I'd have slapped her wrinkled up old gray sourpuss for cursing at me if I were him. Oh, yeah, and before you spout off about how you can't taser a granny to me, I am an old gray granny myself. I'd expect that if I were so disrespectful of the law and the policeman.

He absolutely, positively stepped WAAAAYYYY over the line! The fucking idiot should know better than to tase an old lady. I hope someone tases him, his wife, his children and his mother - he deserves it. When will Americans stand up to the pigs who serve in our police forces and tell them ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!? They give the truly good officers a very bad name! Not only should granny get a multi-million dollar settlement, he should be fired and anyone on the force who agrees with his actions should be horse-whipped and fired with him! Did he abuse his authority? Absolutely!

He could have easily handcuffed her, like in the days before Tasers.

This country has been going to hell in a handbasket for a long time now. Since 911 It seems this country is rampant with fear. (That seems to be the new way to run a country. One could accomplish almost any agenda if one could get enough people scared enough and keep them uninformed enough). Bush pushes the patriot act degrading our rights further, raising fear and suspicion to the point the average tax paying US citizens look like a terrorist so in turn Government can tighten the screws on freedom tighter. The police today apparently following their countrys leadership model seem to more and more treat law abiding citizens like they are enemies to our country.
I'm sure that 72 year old lady didn't appreciate being screamed at in such an abusing way for nothing but going 15 miles too fast? Who the fuck does he think he is? Absolutly no professional sense here. He is a servant to old ladies like that. They help pay his salary. All he comes across as is a demanding piece of shit that should be fired on the spot for his dumb ass knee jerk reraction to an old lady that pissed him off. Fire his no good bully ass.

This cop should lose his badge and never be allowed into and law enforcement agency what so ever and that includes as a mall cop.
