Why not have a scheme whereby people donate what they can afford towards it and the airlines add a percentage to match? this way, people could donate and contribute on any budget they may have rather than have another ta imposed? People are becoming more environmentally aware and I am sure there would be many people who would donate generously given the choice.
I await to see a pilot of this scheme with any airline wishing to give it a go (if they are not doing so already)
