What Robert said. Yeah, no 3GS at that price. Better battery life and a camera that doesn't suck isn't worth that much money to me. Then once my contract is done, I find a phone company that isn't run by jerks like AT&T are. If one exists.
the upgrade pricing for current in-contract AT&T customers is ridiculous. $399/$499 for 16/32GB iPhone 3GS.
Very disappointed in Apple this year. I still have the orginal iPhone and have been eagerly awaiting this upgrade!!! Now, just dont see coughing up $200 for 3G, faster processor, barely improved camera and a compass. Apple missed a chance to stay way ahead of the competition. Software is still GREAT, but hardware....3Gsuck
Sorry kids- Apple may have a platform that works quite well, but they also have a marketing strategy that milks the client for every dime. A more perfect pair (Apple & AT&T) would be hard to find.
No iPhone for me- ever. The camera still sucks, no multi-tasking, the browser takes a week to boot & load (and still no flash support) and my company uses the standard in the business world- Windows.
Sure, I can use most any Windows program on an Apple machine, AFTER PAYING 3-5 TIMES AS MUCH for one with all the peripherals.
Or, when my PC toasts out, I can take extreme joy in smashing it with a hammer, setting fire to the debris, and hook up my external hard drive to the new one that cost $300 and load it with my back-ups.
iPhone? nah... can't do excell, powerpoint, outlook or watch Hulu all at the same time.
