Soulburger isn't on the list and Miss Kathy has the best burgers in town. The original location did close down, but she has reopened on Leeman Ferry on the second floor of the Huntsville Athletic Club. Go in a ask for the Who Dat Burger.

  • Lauren - 15 years ago

Wow! I'll agree that 5 guys is pretty good for what you're getting but c'mon. Best burger not fries. Steak-Out has to have one of the best burgers anywhere. Sure you'll pay for it, but you get what you pay for. They'll even bring it to you! If you have never had a cheeseburger from Steak-Out do yourself a favor and try one, you won't be disappointed.

Five Guys All Day Every Day!

  • Jason - 15 years ago

I hope that everyone remembers what the title of this poll is. There is a big difference between the best burger in town and the best place to get a burger. Everyone that is commenting on the staff, clean conditions, locally-owned, not locally-owned, etc. are missing the point. You should be voting on the best tasting burger for the price; don't over think a simple question.

Five Guys has the best burger in town hands down. I'm a regular customer and I have never been disappointed. If you haven't ate there yet you need to.It will make your decision a whole lot easier!

I love 5 Guys. Their burgers and fries are best in Huntsville. Go 5 Guys............

  • Harry P. Johnson - 15 years ago

I have always been a fan of five guys. They have the best burgers hands down in huntsville. I personally know the manager at one of them and every time I come in to get a burger he automatically knows what I want. That is the type of first class service I recieve. The place is so clean and the people are nice. Even better the Cajun fries are the best.

  • Finally a lesson on local owned Businesses - 15 years ago

Red Robin,Cheeseburger Cheeseburger, Five Guys are all locally owned By people who have lived in Huntsville ,Some over 40 years. Thank you Carey Moore for clearing that up.

  • Johnathan - 15 years ago

I went to Five Guys last week for the first time and it was amazing. At first, I thought $4 was a little pricey for the burger, but after eating it, I realized it was a bargain. If you take into consideration about the high quality meat and fresh toppings, Five Guys really isn't pricey. I havn't had the Little Diner's burger yet but want to try it soon

  • Carey Moore - 15 years ago

Its funny how people say that they like a place only because its owned by a "local business owner" and they like to keep the money here. Cheeburger Cheeburger, Red Robin and Five Guys are all run by local business owners too. All three of them are franchises meaning someone bought the rights to open it, and more than likely, its someone living close here which means the money is staying right here. I really dont think the "local business" issue is a valid argument. This competition is about whos got the best burger. My vote is going to Red Robin because I think they have the best burger

  • Oh my God Let's try to fool people into Coming - 15 years ago

Come on you guys it's so obvious, you guys might be busy due to your new full time voter I am sure you have been getting some curious customers by deception but it's all temporary people will try but it's all about the Repeat!!! Repeat!!. Word
    KARMA !!!!! KARMA!!!!!

I have to go with the Little Diner on Jordan Lane for the best burger in Huntsville. Besides burgers, they have plate lunches. Don't take my word
    go and try it.

  • Paul - 15 years ago

Fiveguys are the best all over the country.

  • Ellen - 15 years ago

I love Dallas Mill Deli but have never had a burger there. (Great turkey sandwich though). I've also been to Five Guys and Little Diner and have to say that I prefer Little Diner's burger especially considering the price. Little Diner has the best burger for the best price now that Soul Burger is gone. Miss you Soul Burger-put some love in it! Wish you were here.

  • dave - 15 years ago

This if for the guy that never heard of the little dinner. I have had burgers at Five Guys and The Little Diner. Five guys burgers are good. The Little Diners burgers are just as good if not better. I find the difference in the two is the personal experience you get at The Little Diner. Both places are clean and the wait staff is nice. I like both places but for the money on a day to day basis The Liitle Diner fits my pocket book better. I grew up in Huntsville so maybe I just like giving my money to the small business owners that are not backed by big business bucks.
And for Amber, Dallas Mill also has a good burger. I aslo like eating there. Again I would rather give my money to a local business owner. Buy the way Curtis at Dallas Mill is a proud new father. You can see a picture of his newborn right at the register and he might tell you a litle story about being a new father. Try getting that kind of attention at a large chain burger place.

    five guys rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Steve - 15 years ago

i agree with Craig. The owners and managers really know how to take care of that place and you can see it through the great customer service and amazing burgers. I went to the little diner once and it smelled like a rat died somewhere in there. Maybe it was just a bad day for them.

  • nami - 15 years ago

i have bin five guy. there burgers very dry! so i dont want try ever again!!!

  • craig - 15 years ago

I've asked many people about this little diner place. no one seems to have ever heard of it. even people living here in huntsville for years. i've watched their percentage go from the low teens to the twenties in one night, then now in the thirties. i dont see how they can be doing so well. The only person i found who knew the Little Diner was my grandfather. who is always a kind man. He told me it was horrible. I was shocked. We then went to the Little Diner. I'm an optimist. I will never eat there again. EVER. i'm sorry but there is no way that place can be getting this many votes. After reading the comments that have been previously left. Near every comment about Five Guys is long and meaningful. While most and near all of The little Diner comments are quick and just sound like catch phrases. Five Guys is amazingly clean(from the outside to the dining area to the restrooms to the kitchen itself). I've never walked out with regret or needing anything more to eat(with the amount of fries and the many toppings), the manager and owner obviously take care of the place, their employees, and the customers. Nearly every time i come in a manager is either at the register or out making sure the customers are enjoying everything. And the location of the Jone Valley Five Guys is perfect. My parents and friends all love it being in such a convenient spot. i can't say how many times we eat there after a movie. It's right next door! it's just great. And for those of you who think the Little Diner is better because it's not a big-chain restaraunt, Five Guys isn't near what the stereotypical chain restaraunt is like. so don't try to pull that. they take care of their restaraunt, customers, and employees personally. they work hard, and i'm sure the little diner does also. i've gone to both restaraunts, with an optimistic mindset and as for the best Burger in Northeastern Alabama... Five Guys Burgers and Fries has my vote and i hope for them to win the title.

After watching the president's special on tv I had to go check out
Five Guys and it was amazing. Right when u walk into the door the environment is awesome everyone seems happy and makes u feel right at home. U get to pick whatever u want on your burgers and its all free! There are even peanuts that you can eat and they are free too!!Then when you get your food the fries are overflowing the bag. You can feed the whole family on a regular fry. Its so great that right here in Huntsville where I do a lot of my shopping (in the Jones Valley shopping center) there is a burger place that all my kids love and I can afford.

  • Smith - 15 years ago

Five guys blows all these other places out of the water. There burgers, fries and even hot dogs were mind blowing!!

  • AL - 15 years ago

Five guys is the best hands down. The Jones valley location is awesome. The staff are so polite and the manger rocks. The burgers are to die for and they give u a insane amount of fries. You def get ur moneys worth. I have been to little diner and i dont know why that place is even on here. My burger was cold and i found a hair in my fries. I wont be going back there and dont suggest anyone else does. Hey even the president approves five guys!!

  • Spottieottie - 15 years ago

I had never had or really heard of Five Guys until just recently when I was watching Brian Williams do the interview a day in the White House. I saw them go to Five Guys and when the Limo pulled up to Five Guys the President just jumped out without security I thought that was very strange. I saw he was eating at Five Guys and I remember seeing a sign in the Target Shopping center that said Five Guys so of course you know what I did the next Day. All I got to Say is I never thought a burger could be so Good!!!!!!

  • RiKyO - 15 years ago

    Little diner !!! what's it's that?

  • RikyO - 15 years ago

I never believed in burgers until I ate at five guys. The first bite sent shivers down my spine. :)

  • Steve - 15 years ago

If you want a good burger the only place to go is FIVE GUYS. The burger is so good that the president and his wife cant stay away from it, they even got a to go order and took it back to the white house for everyone ( i saw this on the news) . The FIVE GUYS on Carol T Jones was the first location i had been to. Not only was the food great the place was so clean. Every body was so nice. The manager went around and asked all the customers how every thing was. Now that is cool ! Where can you get good food and good service? AT FIVE GUYS

  • ATU - 15 years ago

FIVE GUYS HAS THE BEST HAMBURGERS IN TOWN. AND THE PLACE IS SO CLEAN. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WONDERFUL. YOU CAN TELL THAT THE MANAGER TAKES PRIDE IN HIS WORK.

FIVE GUYS IS THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! :) :) :)

  • Chuck Yancura - 15 years ago

Thr Little Dinner is not like the BIG chains, you can sit and watch you burger being cooked. It is small which makes quite nice. It is just like eating at home in your own kitchen, without doing the dishes. Old Pennnsylvania Dutch saying "Sit Long Talk Much" Enjoy the Best Burger in the area.

  • Amber - 15 years ago

The best burger in town is most definately DALLAS MILL DELI! If you are looking for a juicy homemade burger loaded with fresh lettuce tomatoes pickles onions mayo mustard and ketchup then you have to stop by DALLAS MILL DELI and try one! It's hands down delicious! I would suggest trying the Bacon Cheeseburger but they are all fantastic! Another reason why I love Dallas Mill Deli is because the service is amazing! The people are nice and helpful and the owner is a real great guy! So if you're looking for great food and awesome service make sure to stop by Dallas Mill Deli on the corner of Pratt and Washington Street and I promise you will be glad you did!

  • Al - 15 years ago

Little Diner has THE best burgers in town, patty melt too. 5 Guys has cut the size of their burgers, but not Little Diner- still a full size burger-just like they have always served!

  • Tom - 15 years ago

I LOVE your comment Harry. Best way to describe "Little Diner" burgers. Awesome place.

  • Harry - 15 years ago

If you want a standard hamburger there are lots of frachise places. For a unique taste and eating experience try the one of a kind burgers at a little diner.

  • Leo - 15 years ago

Best burgers I have had in a long time. No place in town can beat their price.

    Little Diner RULES!!!!!

  • Richard Goehring - 15 years ago

They say variety is the spice of life, and Cheeburger Cheeburger provides it.
Multiple sizes of burger are available, up to a FULL pound. Several choices for cheese, or even without, and a long list of complimentary toppings, including guacamole. For best burger in Huntsville, I choose Cheeburger Cheeburger!

  • Carol - 15 years ago

Forgot to add, it's the Little Diner on Jordan Lane.

  • Carol - 15 years ago

Not just a great burger, they also have a great hamburger steak and patty melt. Just a good old fashion mom&pop diner...hot off the grill.

  • QuiiQuii - 15 years ago

Five Guys has the best burgers and french fries to go with it. I like that you can pick from a variety of items to put on your burger. It's like your homemade burger without you having to do the work or clean up. I always get the little because the regular one is just way too much for me.

  • Mike Wilkerson - 15 years ago

One of Huntsville best secrets has to be The Little Diner,They have got the best burgers and plate lunch in town.

  • Left Out - 15 years ago

The best burger in town is not on this list--Little Paul's BBQ across from the Hospital is absolutely the best!!!

  • Foodie - 15 years ago

I tell you what the burgers at the Turtle are great but for cost and convenience I have to give it up for 5 Guys.
