I have to hope that sometime, somewhere in America, a program like this will succeed. My heart tells me yes, but, my head tells me no. Americans are so greedy that they steal man hole covers for money. Do bikes really have achance?
the new bike sharing program in montreal (bixi) requires a credit card to take out a bike
what sam said... same in barcelona... surely 'maintainence and replacement' fees will be built into a scheme.... why not put tracking chips in every bike? Then lost ones could be retrieved hassle free.
