Do you think the Onondaga County Legislature should commit $350,000 toward a Syracuse Crunch outdoor game?

If county legislatures can make a deal with the Chiefs on back utiliy bills, then approving the outdoor hockey game would be a no brainer. Furthermore, if this doesn't happen I wouldn't be suprised if Mr. Dolgon pulled the Crunch at the end of his lease and went eleswhere. I wouldn't blame him if he did. Him and his players have are a class act and shouldn't be treated like second class citizens. If this city loses the Crunch then there will be a whole lot of revenue lost in the downtown area and to the county. Makes sense to try and bust the economy of the county instead of pushing it away.

great idea but way too much money - reduce the amount to a proportionate and reasonable return on investment, say $25,000.

$350,000 is way too much money. The stadium has 12,000 seats. Perhaps there will be more seats for hockey. But they will be lucky to sell 12,000. (What is the projected attendance?) At 12,000 this is almost $30 a seat.
$35,000 would be reasonable. $350,000 tax payer money is too much.
