Would you support a bill that would end the practice of giving automatic U.S. citizenship to babies born to parents who are in the country illegally?

Legislation guidelines and restriction on an illegal act that ultimately leads to a legalized status, is LONG past due.

Yes. We also need to cut off all benefits and services to illegals so that there would no incentive to come here and reproduce. Moreover, if anyone hires an illegal, they should do jail time. These steps would cause many to go back home. We could make progress removing many more by turning them over to immigration every time a local or state law enforcement officer tickets them for driving without a license. My paper is filled with such traffic stops everyday, but I think they usually just turn them loose.

Unfortunately, the Constitution gives the right of citizenship to those born in this country, regardless of parentage. I am also against visiting the sins of the parents upon the children. I see no reason to punish children for being born.

I also agree that all services and benefits should be cut off from illegal immigrants; it is not fair that they receive benefits from OUR taxpayer money, yet so many of us try for it, and we are not qualified. (We are definately more qualified that illegals)!!! Also, that those who hire illegals should be arrested. Also. we should not be putting Spanish speaking channels on tv, or anywhere else other than the police station. If anyone is coming here, it is THEIR duty to learn ENGLISH, not vice-versa.
