Did the American Idol Finale Cross the Line?

Kara just looked stupid. Is she so fearful of her job that she needs to resort to 'sex sells'? Producers know lots of kids watch AI (hugh voting block is tweens) so they should have been a little more responsible.

All in all this display made Kara look like the mindless, bimbo that most people think she is already.

I do not think that Kara is a bimbo selling sex or fearful of losing her job. She simply made a point to the other girl who is definitely a bimbo if you look at her behaviour throughout the series. Kara has a great voice, which comes first, but also a sexy body that did not make her career successful. It was only the voice. And what is wrong with a bikini on stage. Many shows have scantily dressed performers, so what is the difference between that and this show. Nothing that kids can't see. That is why there is only 207 votes against it.

It was the way it was done, stripping open her dress in a provocative fashion with her "bikini", which resembled underwear. I also think she made herself look more like a bimbo and less likely to be taken serious. Most folks don't take her seriously anyway and she is most unpopular as a judge, so I guess this is a moot point.

She is an awful judge and a reaaallllyyyy dumb person. Please, for the love of God--get rid of this train wreck named Kara. Please? Pretty please?

First of all- It was really funny (especially the look on bikini girls face) It made a point to bikini girl, how stupid it was to audition in a bikini to begin with. She was also the one that said Kara couldn't sing. Clearly she can and she has a better body-it was a dare for a contribution to charity. Get over it. It wasn't presented to be the least bit sleizy!

It wasn't funny and Kara is too old to be "cute". The show is supposed to be about the contestants. While I didn't think it sleazy (not spelling Susan), I thought it was a little bit megalomaniacal on Kara's part. All so silly and not very humorous. She needs to leave the show--if the show even returns next season without Simon.

Will wonders never cease... do my eyes deceive me, or are TS, Keiley and myself actually on the same page about the whole 'Kara' disaster?!!! The stupid bikini scene was an episode straight off of 'Jerry Springer'. Actually, so was much of this entire season. I've wanted her to go home and stay home since the first time she opened her little rodent mouth as a 'judge' this season. Why are the producers putting the fans through it? Let alone poor Randy, Paula and Simon. Go home, Kara! Leave the judging to people that know what they are talking about!!

I think Megan Joy is terminally cute (pretty face, etc)... and she could probably sing her arse off if she would just quit doing such weird crap with her talent. That said, I agree with you (again!).
