It’s unbelievable after 15 years of being a fan I could never see them. I hope everything will be ok (no last time cancellations, like time I tried to see them) and I can die a happy man.
I completely agree with a lot of comments. Please do not finish the Running Wild story at Wacken. Give the fans a chance to see you a last time during a world tour (or rather continue creating further fantastic Running Wild albums ;-) ). That's just fair...

The list should've not existed!!, I mean, it would had been a lot better just to leave the fans to choose 18 songs and play the most voted ones. I'm totally disapointed there are no songs from Masquerade, the title track, Lions Of the Sea, Soleil Royal, Black Soul and Men in Black are tremendous tracks!!
Also, Pirate Song, Firebreather, Adventure Galley, Fistful of Dynamite, Treasure Island, Lead Or Gold, Powder and Iron, White Masque, etc, etc, etc.
What about : Victory, Metalhead, Wheel of doom, Soleil Royal and masquarade?

Man, I've been listening to Running Wild since '86, and I could not ever go to europe and see them. Too bad my all-time favorite is shutting down. One of my childhood dreams will be gone. If I could choose 1 song, would be victim of states power, the 1st RW song I heard, just listening to the first riff, I knew this band would kick ass.
Good luck to Rolf and all the members who played in the band. Surely millions of metal heads will miss you.

Huh? Where the hell is ''Ballad of William Kidd''?? and ''Masquerade''?? By far two of the greatest Running wild songs and they are not even in the list...
Glad Blazen Stone and Battle of Waterloo are in it.
MAN ON THE MOON has probably the most powerful guitar riff ever but it is sadly a totally forgotten song :(
To me personally it is the best and most important Running Wild song and the last possibility to play it live is coming soon.

Wow, I am kind of surprised that "Fight The Fire Of Hate", "The Ballad of William Kidd" and "Soulless" never made it. Really, really weird!!
Well, many of us haven't ever had a chance to see RW live, so songs like Bad to the Bone, Riding the Storm, Under Jolly Roger, AND Treasure Island are mandatory.
Yeah, all the epics, Treasure Island, Genesis, Calico Jack, Waterloo should be part of this farewell show. I dont care if they only manage to do 5 songs apart from those 4. id say SKIP all post Masquerade material. And anything that was on the previous DVD. Please forget songs like Bad to the bone and Prisoners of our time, lets get something SPECIAL for last time. My dream would be to hear MAROONED!
And they played Treasure Island last time in Wacken, I suggest they negociate the tapes they recorded for the backscreen then and use that show as a special bonus for this new dvd.

As many others I think that Treasure island is the most fascinating song that Running Wild has ever recorded. I would love to see and hear this song performed live by Running Wild. A farewell tour in addition to the Wacken Gig would be great. Wacken was already sold out for a long time when Rolf announced the concert. Some people just do not like or do not find the time to be on a festival for three or four days just to see Running Wild. I discovered this band just recently and Running Wild haven't been playing concerts since 2005.
Please play some more farewell concerts or at least play Treasure Island at Wacken so that this song will be on the DVD. Then I'll promise to buy it.

This will be an evening with mixed emotions, for sure. Long live the legacy of Rolf and his fantastic voice, riffs and songs, but if this final show goes down without any of the previous members involved, there will be a lot of disappointed fans present. Come on - fill that stage with all the fantastic talent that has been part of this unique band during the 30 years!

Fantastic songs, but why the heck is everything choosing songs which will appear anyway like Under Jolly Roger for example? Vote for Calico Jack or Tortiga Bay!
I think songs like Raise Your Fist, Under Jolly Roger, Riding the Storm and Conquistadores should not appear in the pool cause they are MAJOR CLASSICS and a MUST in a RW concert (specially a FAREWELL concert, can't believe in this, btw). Anyway, it's a shame that songs like Treasure Island, Lead or Gold, Lions of the Sea, White Masquee and many others are not in the pool. This farewell concert should have at least 3 hours. Unfortunally i can't attend to this concert, since i'm in Brazil :( and the saddest is that i'll never see my favorite band in a live concert :( :( :(

That's really a silly songlist...where the hell is "Treasure Island"? Where are "Lions Of The Sea", "Lead Or Gold" and "White Masque"? I cannot believe that songs like "Welcome to Hell", "The Brotherhood" and "Fall Of Dorkas" were more requested than the one I have mentioned.
I agree with The GURU, even though I managed to get a ticket for Wacken. (and I'm very excited) Also... many fans want to hear Treasure Island, I'm a bit sad that it wasn't in the poll.
Like many others, a final world tour(not just a European one) is in order. There should not be just a last minute addition, final show, at a fest that has been sold out for a long time.
