Adam should when the American Idol he can really sing and that is what the show is based on. It seems that Kris is getting his votes for his looks I do not think he has the strong voice that can carry a note like Adam. It just seems like you can give Adam a song and he can sing it. Kris seems to have a hard time sometimes. Adam is a nice looking also. But who ever wins got luck to them with there fulture.

Adam will be a star if he wins or not. But I like Kris and Danny's music better. I always judge their songs this way. Would I buy that song?? Adam is such a good screamer and I know he's good, but I'd BUY Kris or Danny's music. I'd pass on Adam's. But that's just me!

The judges have been soooooooooo over the top for Adam that it is sad to watch. If Kris wins they will probably cry and hit the talk show circuit and tell everyone how the best man didn't win. They are suppose to be neutral and not sway the public but instead they are pleading for the public to vote for Adam. Andhow is it that they allow Katy Perry to campaign for Adam by wearing his name on her cape tonight? I mean how much more support can you throw this guys way? Hell, if American Idol had their way they would have called the show weeks ago and just handed Adam the title drooling all the way. Randy comes out this weekend for Adam. It' too bad about Danny. I enjoyed his singing very much (HE CAN SING). Both Danny and Adam were my favorites. Adam added a little bit more of creativity to his performances and he definitely had the "It" factor on stage more than Danny. They're both very talented and I'm sure they'll both have a successful future in the music industry. I strongly feel that those negative comments on Danny were very unfair. Back off! I'ts not easy losing a loved one (don't judge..you're not in his shoes). Be smart and play nice! If you now want Danny fans to vote for Adam. Don't blow it for him. I want Adam to win so bad. He is so amazing. I personally hate Kris. I think he has had a couple good songs but he can't sing. Who knows who is actually going to win because for a lot of people their favorites are gone and they are voting for the songs they like. I think it is just going to depend on their songs next week.

I know that the Adam fans were saying really nasty things about Danny and I didn't know that you Kris fans were too. So you have lost a lot of fans that were Danny's to vote for yours. Personally I like both. I was rooting for Kradam probably before anyone else... That being said, I want Adam to win- because he is truely talented and has the potential to become something HUGE.

I am really surprised by this page. First of all, people are saying that Kris is only getting in on his looks, which really is completely untrue. I am a married male medical student, and I could care less what he looks like, and the people I know that vote for him could care less. He really is good, and I am excited to see the finale. The thing is that he is completely different than Adam, which makes this great. I don't like Adam's style of music, but I know that he is incredibly talented. I just prefer Kris' laid-back style of music, and really I think it is probably more commercial. And, he really is a musician, hence the multiple instruments that he plays. All that to say that I am not some teeny-bopper nor are all of his fans. And really, Adam probably has just as many girl votes as Kris. Did anyone else see the streaker? Secondly, Kris has nothing to do with the people on this page, so please don't base your voting next week on these people. Vote for the best performer...whomever that may be! I hope Kris, but ultimately I think Kris, Adam and Danny will do well!!!

Adam has been gracious and complimentary to his competitors throughout this competition. Kris, too, has been humble and gracious. Let's emulate them a bit, and let the haters get frustrated that nobody is joining them in their muck slinging. Screaming back only gives sad, bitter people a sense of vindication, instead of allowing them to get over their sense of bitter disappointment. Those that are homophobes are acting in fear-based hatred---fear only increases when the homophobe is attacked. I hate Kris Allen he does not deserve to be in there, some of the Top 13 are better than him. Adam and Danny Should be in the finals and Allison should be the Top 3 and Kris should be the Top 13... lol

Kris has the most talent, albeit not the best voice (but still very solid). Adam's the best singer with amazing range, even if I'm not a personal fan of the screaming (not sure why some call this part singing).

Kris has demonstrated the most artistry, and has some amazing raw talent. Adam has more star power.

Simon and crew have been crowning Adam as the next American Idol since day 1, and really doing their best to sway the public, which is why I stopped watching this show for several seasons when this happened before. This season has been so over the top it's bordering on disgusting, but the talent has been really enjoyable to watch.

So... we'll see. As a musician and singer, my vote goes to Kris. This kid has some skills, and will be very much in the same vein as John Mayer, Jason Mraz,

To Kris fans - Congratulations. Used to like Kris too but smitten by Adam now. So I do not mind Kris going finale as he's my 2nd fav anyway. BOth of them are buddies and roommates. I also see that Kris is putting on nail polish. Could be Adam's influence? Haha.

To each their own and we just respect each other like how the 2 big guys respect each other. Even Danny is sweet in his departure. I would buy ADAM'S CDs, DVDS etc anytime as he's HOT HOT HOT in our country. His CDs songs are much toned down and hauntingly beautiful. For his CONCERT, I would not accept anything less than ADAM'S SIGNATURE!! The golden-voiced (and gracious! And humble!) Adam Lambert has a vocal ability that's never been seen on "Idol" -- he can go from warm emoting to hair-metal screeching and back again in the course of a few notes. The guy looks like a star, whether wearing his hair like an emo vampire or rocking a slicked back, Elvis-style pompadour. I'm practicing my signature "scream" now for his concert. Boy, am I pumped up. Never know I could still be like a teen.

Just wondering... now that everyone is gone, do Adam and Kris still need to share a room? Ok this is off topic, lets go back to what people seem concerned. Firstly, I appreciate artists who sing and play instruments at the same time - definitely not easy to do - but AI is a singing competition and not playing an instrument while singing doesn't affect the singing part. Has Celine Dion ever played an instrument while singing for the matters? Secondly, I agree with most of you that judges should be unbiased. But Simon's (and Katy Perry's too) open admiration for Adam is hardly Adam's fault! All I can say is, Kris had a harder path to the finale, which proves he truely deserves it. Thirdly, please don't call Adam's singing "screaming" anymore. The word is so over-used. Compare his "screaming" to the audience's and you will know what "singing" and "screaming" is. Or if you still think this is screaming, why don't you record yourself scream and see if it comes out as good as Adam's "screaming." At this point of the competition I don't think anyone has the right to claim who is talented and who is not, but only who you like more. Can't wait for the finale!

To Chris - a Kris Allen's fan

Yeah, good post unlike some other Kris's fan. I used to like the laid-back easy listening songs too (country, love songs, sentimentals). But just that after Adam's Mad World - I was totally mesmorised and from then, have acquired the wide diversity of music that Adam produces and mighty proud that my musical knowledge has improved. Haha He brings me so high and then low and high again. And that high notes (need time to acquire) leaves me breathless. It is an incredible feeling which I never knew before. Guess his drop dead gorgeous looks help as I'm a gal (mature) too.

Adam is incredibly talented especially on stage. However, I really don't know what's my feeling if I just listening to his CD. Kris, starting from the top 36, he is my favourite, he did it great for a couple of songs like "She Works Hard For The Money", "Ain't No Sunshine", etc. I really like his voice and the way he performs. Wow..., it is too difficult to pick an AI this season.

He has got a pure and even stronger voice too. I don't get it that when he belts in such wonderfully high tunes (that's out of this world), people forget the earlier part that he's singing.

Seanny - have you tried listening to Adam's studio versions?? He has toned it down. It is pure and heartfelt. Try it. For me, I do not get Kris accent sometimes as he seems to mumble his words when he twists his mouth to sing. (no offense, is it call twist?) I mean he did not open his mouth fully so that the words come out round and sometimes his voice break at certain points. Is it an intention. I'm from overseas. Whereas for Adam, his diction is simply pure when he sings. I can even copy down each word. Adam will make it BIG internationally. His English is from Britain?? Very eloquent and well versed.

Hey LadyGlam, sure it is funny lol!! But I was thinking, if those two are still stuffed in one little room of such a big mansion, it would be... ummm... problematic... :S Btw I enjoy laid-back music, classical, big ballad more too. Even now, I don't like hard rock or metal. The fact that I like what Adam does speaks a lot. Lol, I know you were just teasing but actually I don't think Adam can play level with Kris by singing like him... I love Mad World but the other slow tempo songs of his don't impress me as much as Born to be Wild, Feeling Good and Ring of Fire (Yes, I'm a country fan and I love Adam's RoF). They are good but not too special (sorry, as Adam's fan we are spoiled), I just love his unique style more.

To Nie - I don't think AI has really defined itself well. It's really all over the map as to whether it's a singing competition or a competition to find the best undiscovered artist. If you listen to the judges, they want artistry. Artistry means that you can interpret a song, create your own phrasings, arrangements, and the topping on the cake is if you can play an instrument.

Lil' was a great singer, but she isn't an artist. Ultimately the judges continually gave her bad feedback because she couldn't create her own arrangements on phrasings.

The bottom line is that the final two both have great talent. So your vote should reflect what kind of music by either of the remaining two that you'd personally buy.

For me, Kris has really defined himself. He wants to play music similar to Jason Mraz/ John Mayer. Adam, I'm still not personally sure. Is he going to make gothic rock? Emo? Hard rock? I really have no idea.

Sorry, but as someone who has had vocal training, Adam screams. I have no idea why these judges (especially Kara) are not calling him out on it. Well, actually I do. It's the same story as past seasons. Simon has a favorite that he believes will be best to market, and the rest is history.

Adam is extremely entertaining to watch. As my wife says, he's a born entertainer with his sad eyes. :)

I was most into Danny from the start, and then Adam and Danny. Danny is the best singer of the three by far, but that's obviously not what this competition is about. Kris just gradually grew on me, and if you really look back, he's grown the most during this competition. Look at him from "Man in the mirror" to his last 2 songs. HUGE improvement...

Danny's biggest issue is that his "story" was much larger than his talent. His fans here are rabid and scary. The guy possessed a strong voice, but he was rather dull and easily dismissed. I can't say much more for Kris either, though I think he is more stylistically creative. Danny deserved to leave a couple of weeks ago. The competition is not that strong this year. You have Adam Lambert and really that it is. I think the jdudges did a poor job seeking out talent.

Kris and Adam are good friends so it is kind of nice to see them in the final together.

Big deal. Kris doesn't need your one stupid vote. Danny lost because he sucked and was boooorrrrriiiiiinnnnnnggggggg! Taylor Hicks was more exciting than Danny!

When you sing in pitch, it is not considered screaming! So for all of you calling Adam a screamer, you should take a music class immediately or just shut your mouths! Also, I wasn't a fan of Danny but he is clearly a better singer than Kris which is what AI is supposed to be about: finding the best singer. I still think Adam is the best singer regardless whether he wins or not. If Kris wins then he will fall in perfectly with Ruben and Taylor as the ones who shouldn't have won but did and didn't get have solid careers.

The show on Tuesday was very good and I personally believe that the top three were quite solid, on their own way. I think that K. Allen´s rendition of “Heartless” was the highlight and it must have made a difference on the results (just listen to the original version of the song). I did not particularly enjoy Simon Cowell´s selection for Adam Lambert (by the way, Cowell´s comments on U2 were unnecessary and pretentious). However I must say that Adam put a good face on it and did a very good job. It is hard to predict who will win the show. Even if Adam is clearly more versatile, entertaining and charismatic as an artist, he might not be the cup of tea of more conservative audiences (ballad - oriented). Whereas Adam has been recognized and praised by the judges as a rocker, I think it is also interesting to listen to him performing numbers such as “Mad World” and “Track of my Tears”. In fact, I would not be surprised if he included a rendition with that vibe during the final. I am glad that K. Allen has raised the level of the competition. It makes the final much more interesting. May the best singer win! I definitely cheer for Adam, but respect K. Allen very much. Cheers

To Artistry - If you are talking about artistry (I mean as a noun, not your name), Adam has it all. He interprets songs and rearranges everything. Look at Tracks of My Tears and If I Can't Have You, not to mention Ring of Fire (whether you like that version or not is another matter). The topping on the cake is that he can dance and still doesn't miss a single note. Dancing has everything to do with music - Michael Jackson, Madonna and many more - they all dance when they sing. And I actually needed to dance for my music class exam. Kris plays instruments and Adam dances - simply two different styles. May I ask you, do you have vocal training? If so, please "enlighten" us as to which particular note you think he screamed. To me, the only note that is close to screaming is in Play That Funky Music. That note I agree was a scream. As for Kris, I can see some Jason Mraz in him too, though I'm not too sure about John Mayer. I mean, even Jason Mraz and John Mayer are quite different, how can they be put together? But I agree Kris has had great improvement. Like you, I didn't like him in the beginning but he has really stepped up. And he DOESN'T stand like a bus stop like Simon said anymore, although sometimes there are still some awkward facial expressions like the one on Tuesday when the number is shown at the very end of the show. But that has nothing to do with music, so lets not judge him by that. And Danny - ummm, I'm can't really agree that he's the best singer. Lets take You Are So Beautiful as an example. I really like the second half which I agree is "master class," but the first half was flat and boring for me. And this has nothing to do with the song itself but everything to do with the singer, if you listen to Russell Watson's version you will see. And his first song of the night - his voice is almost drowned by the music and backup singers. Danny is a good singer, but not the best at least to me. Anyway I'm glad there are finally some real discussion here. And sorry that this post is long.

Ignore Artistry, she/he sounds like a sore loser. If she/he really cared about artistry, she/he would appreciate Adam--who has it! Do not believe she/he is vocally trained as he/she would apprecaite Adam's rare vocal range, incredible ability to hit high notes and spot-on perfect pitch!

I find it funny, the number of people that think American Idol is a Singing Competition.. it is NOT. It is an entertainment competition. That is why Gokey went home. Danny could sing, but wasn't much of a stage presence. It takes it all to be an Idol.

That being said BOTH of these guys have a chance to win this competition.

Adam is an entertainer from the old school of Rock. From his outfits to his dance to his ability to scream a note that will break glass. He has it all.

Kris is also an entertainer, from his total remake of songs, to multi instruments and his crooner voice. He is not just a Karaoke singer.. that was Danny. Kris has the rare ability to hear a song then change it enough that it is still recognizable but different enough that its obviously not just a crappy cover.

They both represent America. They both have wonderful careers ahead of them.

This will be the best Finale episodes ever.

I've been following this from the UK from the start, and it seems pretty clear to me that Kris is just one of thousands who can sing a song OK. Adam is one in a million. I've been around listening to music since the Beatles, and I KNOW that I have not heard a voice like Adam's before. He has the same power as Freddie Mercury, but more raw talent. If Kris wins, it will be a win for pure medicrity, born out of a conservatism that often spoils Americain music. Adam is such a star about to explode into the music world, that if he were to lose next week, it would make the whole purpose of Americain Idol collapse. I fear America may vote for Kris out of fear of the sheer brilliance of the talent that has arrived in the form of Adam Lambert. Be brave, America! There are a thousand good looking Kris's around. You should be proud to have raised Adam!

No need to use "F" language to express a difference of opinion. If you would like to know, I grew up listening to rock music. I feel like I am breathing fresh cool air for the first time in weeks! One Danny supporter spewed so much venom against Adam, and was always trying to hit him below the belt with vile remarks, not to mention dominating the board, now she's gone, Hopefully! I hope everyone will keep their thoughts positive for these two fine contestants! Criticism is fine if it is positive constructive, offering ways they can improve themselves, crude negative remarks don't help and are nothing but a downer! I love and support Adam, and I would like him to pick a wonderful love song to sing for next week's competition, and I think it would be wise for him to keep it soft, and sing in his lower register. We Adam Lambert fans need to VOTE VOTE VOTE like crazy this week!!!!!!It seems as if Kris has a huge fan base that may be hard for Adam's fan base to overcome. We need to be strong and vote the entire voting time. Texting the vote is the best way to mass vote. I was able to send almost 2000 votes for Adam this past week that way. Send vote once to the number for Adam then just keep clicking resend for hours. I think this is why Kris has been able to suprise viewers with his vote numbers. His fans are young and text which will create larger numbers. Give this a try Adam fans we need all the edge we can get this week.....ADAM FTW!!!!! :)

The real problem for you Adam fans is that Kris is likely +1 million votes. So which way will most Danny voters vote? If they were voting for Danny, I find it a hard stretch their going to vote for Adam.

Danny had no stage presence, but was a great singer. I think most of Danny fans will be voting for Kris. Just my humble opinion.

And yes, I'm a trained vocalist and musician. I'm 35 years old, and not some teeny-bopper. Danny screams. It's just hard for un-trained ears to make out because he can get it within a very narrow pitch, which is hard for someone who can scream to do. Wonder why Kara keeps asking, "how you can you hit those notes and then talk the next day?". It's a well constructed scream, and I give him props for that, because that still takes talent.

For the Brit that says that Kris is American mediocrity, he's the mediocrity of over 100k people trying out. What he does on stage, although not as unique as what Adam does, is very rare. I've been playing and singing all my life, and his ability to change up rhythms, timing, key signatures, and instruments, takes a very good ear and some real talent.

Both have talent, so go vote America...

Kris is "above-average" you could find tons of artists who deserve to be bigger than him in America. Adam is really the "pick of the bunch"...there definitely are not as many Adams in America as Kris. Therefore, vote for the true talent, ADAM LAMBERT!

I like Kris, but he is not unique. He is better than Matt, probably not better than Danny or even Allison. He appeals to people, like Adam does, becasue he seems genuine. People like other people who are warm and seem approchable--Kris and Adam are--Danny and Allison were not. Whether this is fair or not is not for us to decide here. In Adam's case, he has more than just a great personality--he has the talent to back it up.

Haley, I have no clue what you're talking about. As I stated in the post. I was a Danny fan at first (before he had to really perform). He clearly had the best voice, and that's why he got where he was. As soon as he really had to perform, it was very clear he had no stage presence, and was not very entertaining. He's a great voice with not much artistry behind him. So I was a Danny and Adam fan. Kris grew on me because out of all the contestants, who grew the most throughout this competition. And I became a bigger fan of Kris after his "She works hard for the money" than either Danny or Adam. . For those who think Kris is "average", then I guess we should have more John Mayer/ Jason Mraz's out there everywhere, but we don't. As a musician and performer, I know what Kris is doing isn't "average", and he's only going to get better as he gains more confidence in himself and grows as a musician (because he's young).

I think both Adam and Kris are obviously going to have great careers. I appreciate more of what Kris is doing, and it takes more skill. Adam is clearly the best performer (he's an actor), and he has amazing stage presence. But if you took Adam's scream away from him, what would he have over other performers? Kris can play 6 instruments from what I've read, and is a song writer. That takes a lot of talent to do well.

Adam wins the drama category, and Kris wins the musician category. For me, Adam would be someone you want to see live, while Kris is someone you'd want to hear on a CD. If they could only combine their talents... wow. Because you like one over another doesn't make you anymore right. We all have our opinion, and can appreciate different things.

I am a trained singer & whilst I appreciate Adam's voice range - I feel that he overuses this in faster songs! When he sings slower songs it is much better. It really is a matter of style choice & to me Kris is an all round master of songs. If you listen to some of his pre-Idol songs he wrote & recorded they are brilliant. When he has harmonies they sound heavenly!!
So this final has 2 very different stylistic singers & that's what really makes it a great competition as some will be drawn to Adam's style & others to Kris's. Should be an entertaining night!!

UGH. I love them both so freaking much. I've been rooting for Kris and Adam both from the beginning (loved Allison too). I'm so, so happy with the result. I think these two guys are the most musically creative of the entire bunch left and the fact that they're legit friends and their families have mutual respect for each other? Just makes it a million times better.

I came to look at the posts for this thread, with absolutely no intention of posting anything. Since I don't care for either of the remaining contestants, I no longer have a reason to 'state my case' one way or the other. But then, as I started seeing the list of 'alter-egos' people have accused me of using, I felt I had to say this. Even though I know it is probably pointless, because you'll believe whatever you choose to believe, in the end. But you shouldn't be blaming 'Artistry' or Wild Cat' or 'Daisey Mae' for the things I said on the other poll question and you shouldn't be blaming me for their words (especially Wild Cat, who has actually offended me, as well). As God is my witness, with my hand on a hundred bibles, swearing on the lives of all of my loved ones, I promise you that I have never posted under ANY of those other names. I can say whatever I need to say under Grimoire13, and I have. Now that Danny is gone, I have nothing more to say about either contestant, because I just don't care about the show now. Anyone who actually knows me knows that once my contestant gets voted off, I don't 'switch hit', the show is effectively over for me. I have a feeling that this finale will be another Jordin/Blake finale. I was embarrassed for Blake and I didn't even like him. Adam is in a league of his own. I think Adam is going to blow Kris away Tuesday. I like Kris. He's had some good performances but he honestly can't sing. If he does 3 slow songs for the finale, he will put everyone to sleep.

God I hate American Idol. First of all, too many of its fans possess the intelligence of a squid. Listen folks, there is opinion and there is analysis. I wish they'd learn the difference. American Idol is a singing contest so one has to get past the churlish idea that someone is better than someone else if he looks and acts like me. Obviously more people look and act like Kris Allen than Adam Lambert, but one you break down the skills of both contestants there's little doubt that Lambert outshines Allen by a country mile. His tone is superior as is his range, breathing techniques and power. Anyone who says diffently needs a hearing aid. Lambert also is far superior to Allen in stagecraft. The only area that Allen outshines Lambert is in the fact that he plays an instrument, four to be exact. His arrangements are reasonably good, though I wouldn't put them in the same category as far as consistency is concerned with David Cook. Adam isn't bad in this area as his Crawl Through the Fire can attest to. So please, stop this nonsense about Kris Allen being the next Idol. If he is then all you idiots who voted for him put your money where your mouth is and buy his music. Remember voting doesn't cost you anything.

ryunkin... you are full of love. Everyone is stupid, and only your opinion is right. American Idol is not a singing competition, and anyone who thinks so need a hearing aide. If it was a singing competition only, then why all the emphasis on originality, stage presence, create original arrangements. It's clearly not just a signing competition. Further, David Cook never did any original arrangements that I'm aware of on Idol. He took other people's arrangements, and never game them credit (which is pretty dishonest). After he was called out on it, he began to credit the people who re-made the songs he chose.

So much hate in the world. Fanbases could use Kris and Allen's example and have some mature, mutual respect for each other. I'm an Adam fan but Kris could very well win, and I'd be just as happy for him if he did even though I believe Adam deserves it more for a number of reasons. I'm just looking to enjoy the Season finale. I hope both guys deliver and make it a good one. Good luck to them, two great artists and people.

Not to be cyncial, but expect a well-thought out and presented analysis from "Artistry" compliments of wikipedia and other music web searches. Obviously he/she has all the time in the world to research this. If you look at the other posts from "Artistry" claiming to be a professional vocal musician (yeah, right) there is no supporting content of opinion. As I have stated on Rickey's board times before, I studied piano for 14 years and music theory for over 6 years---2 years at the collegiate level. While I am not a professional musician, I do have some expertise in this area. I still only give MY opinion. I cannot think of one professional musician who would not be in awe of Adam's vocal ability--it is that rare. Doubt it woudl referred to as "screaming"--that I can guaranty. Disclaimer to all: this is not to denegrade any other former or current contestant--or to say that Adam is the only choice--it is just a fact. Kris and Danny are also good!

Anonoymous for this one - yea I see what you mean. In fact, what I wanted to point out is, claiming Adam a screamer without supporting evidence is unconvincing. (In fact I asked Artistry to point out which particular note Adam screamed in a previous post but obviously my comment is ignored.) I'm not even interested in knowing whether this self-claimed musical professional is real or just a bluffer, I just want to make my point that if opinion is to be taken seriously, proof is required, whether it is from wikipedia or his head. If he can "define" Adam as a screamer with valid reasons, I'm ready to take it. Because whether Adam is a screamer or not doesn't affect the fact that he is unique and that I love what he does! But Anonoymous, I give you props for your honesty that you can only give opinion despite the expertise you have. Not too many people would admit this (or even realize this).

Why do some people say that they either hate Adam or Kris. Hate is a strong word especially when you really don't even know the person. Both Adam and Kris are great. I am going to vote for who I think is the has the best talent of the two which I think is Adam but I do think Kris is good too but just not my type of music I like and I think when some of you Danny fans say you are going to vote for Kris just to get back at Adam. On another busy blog some Danny fans are saying to vote for Adam to get back at 'undeserving' Kris since Danny should have had his spot in the finals--here, it is the opposite, go figure. All very childish.

Artistry - You are certainly getting some bashing from some of Adam's fans! As a professionally trained voice major myself, I don't think any of these guys will understand what you are saying about technique, style, phrasing or over usage of screaming. Not because they're too stupid to understand... but because their just "haters" if you don't agree with their comments. His over usage of screaming, makes his screams become sooooooo insignificant - screaming for the sake of screaming doesn't make it rock nor "good rock". Most successful rockers don't even have the best technical voices, but they've got that gut retching, rawness from somewhere deep inside a singer that makes rock "rock". His voice and stage presence are too controlled and calculated to capture the real "essence of rock". I feel that Adam PERFORMS rock rather than sings rock like Cher did in the 60's. Another blogger said it best.... "Streisand sings Axel Rose". I don't think we'll hear Adam on any serious rock/metal stations... His CD sales will be mostly "underground" or "cult" following. Whereas Kris will have a broaded market for air-play on the radio. But I do think Adam will be great on Broadway or in Vegas! I'd go see him but not buy his CDs.

Btw Anonoymous for this one - seems like there are more than one self-claimed vocal/music professionals here who do not bother to give supporting evidence to what they claim. Once again, (as I have said in the previous post to you,) I give you props for NOT using "I am a professional" to make what you say seems more than just opinion. This shows who a true professional is because the more you learn about one thing the more you know that what you know is only a small portion.

Nie - I never claimed to be a professional muscian. I said I was "professionally trained" similar to Anonoymous who studied piano for 14 years and music theory for over 6 years---2 years at the collegiate level. I graduated with a degree in music (voice), taught music for several years in school and have played piano all my life. Either Anonoymous or her parents probably paid a "professional" for lessons/college. During that training, her "professional teacher" would have probably critiqued her on her technique and style as well as her ability to play the correct notes. As a music major in college, not only are you critiqued by teachers, you are trained to critique your fellow classmates... to develop an "ear" for mistakes. For me personally, all this critiquing at the college level took away the natural beauty of someone's performance - you became aware of breathe control, smooth registry change, pharsing, nasal singing, singing from the throat... and instead of just hearing a great song - you heard the errors! I didn't even enjoy singing anymore... sad when I had been singing all my life. When you study voice, you don't just open your mouth and sing... there are many technical issues that enter the picture which can add to that "controlled" factor I was speaking about in an earlier comment. I think Adam is BRILLIANT from a technical standpoint: excellent range, change of registry, pitch - but too "controlled" to be a rocker. Most successful rock artists are not professionally trained which gives them that "edginess". - for ex. Janis Joplin (untrained) - Pat Bentar (trained in opera). Having grown up in the 60's, Janis and Grace Slick were the girl rockers. Where was Pat Bentar when I needed her??? If you were looking for a rocker to win, in MY OPINION - it was Allison with the rocker voice. To end this on a light "note", who would I sound like if I tried to sing rock today???? Hmmmm...... probably like Susan Boyle singing "Take a Piece of my Heart". Great voice, but not a rocker - LOL

What I want to say is, maybe this is a little bit too early to say whether Adam can make a good rock album or not? (And even that is to assume that he will make a TRADITIONAL rock album.) After all he's only on AI right now and he's got to throw everything he has in that 2 minutes to impress voters. His so called "screaming" is his signature and he has to put that in his songs to show what he is. (Is that really called screaming anyway? This word bothers me.) And to me (I admit I'm not a Rock fan, so don't quote me on that) many rockers don't have that "edginess" too. For example, if you listen to this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VgLKXD-BoY&feature=related - the female singer is literally an opera singer and she doesn't have the "edginess" even in other songs. This also applies to Amy Lee from Evanescence. And if you listen to Adam's Crawl Thru Fire on youtube, it sounds different from what he does on the show. But anyway, just look, we are not being unreasonable! We just don't like unfounded supposition. (At least that's me.)

We all have our cross to bear in life, Olive. I too like Adam for the win this year. But I did see a clip of Adam where he claimed to be in the cast of Wicked and when asked which part he played, he was forced to confess that he was nothing more than an understudy, who had never actually performed on stage for that play. So, maybe he should think twice before taking credit for things he hasn't really done, because that's not too cool.

Nie - I checked out Nightwish - I've always loved this recording but never checked the web for the video! Thanks, I've bookmarked it! Sadly, in my day not too many people would have listened to this and it wouldn't have gotten air-time on any radio station. (Just like they never played The Electric Prunes doing a rock verison of the Mass in the 60's - it was semi-underground, word of mouth, hard-to-find album. And I wasn't insulting by using cult/underground... many groups I've really liked over the years have been famous unkowns which I enjoy soooo much more than commercial artists - like the New York Rock and Roll Ensemble mixing classical with rock long before Queen; Genya Ravan and Ten Wheel Drive). I'm so glad you have a wide variety of interests and taste in your music - please share, I'm open to new and old stuff! And you are correct in saying that they have only 2 minutes to show their stuff... but sometimes "less is more" - leaving you wanting more, and more, and more. For me Adam's "Mad World" came the closest to me wanting more. I played it over and over several times. I loved it (even though he didn't credit Gary Jules for the arrangement). He had emotion and a vulnerability to his voice. But you know, it's Adam that says he loves rock... not me. Yet when he sings it (Satisfaction, Born To Be Wild or One) it doesn't come off rock because (I'll subsitute other words for screams) he belts it out more like a Broadway or Vegas production. And I may be wrong... but that's where his "professional training" is - theatrical stage. But whatever he chooses, I'm sure he'll have a brilliant career! I enjoyed your insightful comments. BOOTSY: Nothing more than an understudy? Don't you know that an understudy IS a crucial part of the cast and a member of the production??? An understudy has to rehearse their lines, music, dance and staging similar to any other cast member. In some productions, an understudy is responsible to learn the lines of one or more characters in order to be hired. The "star" not only gets all the glory after each show, his/her also performance benefits from being on stage night after night as they become more familiar and growing with their role. On the otherhand, the understudy has to constantly rehearse on his/her own and be ready to jump into the role at a moment's notice... all the while hoping not to disappoint the audience when they really came to see the other fella. I'm not voting for Adam, but I'm disgusted that you discredited his hard work as an understudy.

Proof Adam screams... while it's true that good singers will have a certain belt range that they are strongest in, good singers can change their tone of their belting ranges.

Adam hasn't done that with his scream. It's consistently the same tone (can't call it note). Try it at home kids. Try and scream different tones as hard as you can. You can't. That's the difference between singing and screaming. Singing you can control your diaphragm and the release of your notes.

The bottom line as to whether you think Adam screams or not is really whether you like it. If you like it, then vote for him.

Adam will likely win because the sheepeles of America have been programed from the beginning to vote for Adam. It always starts off subtly every season with Simon, with little comments, and always putting Adam last for performances. Then it builds and gets spewed on like pleas to America that they better vote for Adam. As an experienced musician, I can appreciate the talent and skill it takes to play several instruments and sing really well live. Additionally, making a popular song your own, and sound better than the original take more skill than writing an original song. Mainly because people have something to compare that song too. For me, Adam is entertaining, and a good actor (his sad eyes are a little funny though, I can't take it serious). He has talent, but is way over hyped.

nomad- Did you watch that Ten Commandments video of Adam? I was blown away with it. He knows how to sing and also knows how to act. I'm a Danny Gokey fan and I was hoping that it was between Danny and Adam for the final but it didn't work out that way so be it. I don't have a grudge about it because I know that Adam will win cause he is really good.

TLC: I did watch the video and I must say this; it was quite good. Easily the best performance of his that I have seen to date. But I have to also be honest with myself and say that unlike you, I wasn't 'blown away'. It was a good performance and that cannot be denied. But just when I was really beginning to feel slightly differently about his level of talent, he just had to jut that tongue out at everyone. I wish he could find the higher, longer keys without that disgusting tongue-jut. Toward the end of the song, it began to sound much like some of the songs that turned me off to him in the first place. But about two thirds of it were good. Is it enough to make me vote for him next week? I'm afraid not. One performance (a performance that wasn't even part of the American Idol set) won't do it for me. But I will say this, had he spent a little more time doing work like that over the course of the past three months on Idol, I might feel much differently about my decision. I thank you for sharing this with me, still won't be voting for either of them on the 19th of May...

I wasn't trying to change your mind about Adam it's just that I was really impressed at his acting. I have always really liked him and he was my 2nd choice from Danny being my first choice. He does seem like a decent guy and is truly a hard working one at that. I admire him for being that way. When Tuesday nights came the only two people that I was all excited to watch was Danny and Adam. They both were enough entertainment for me that night. How was the thunderstorms by you yesterday? I hope it wasn't a fierce one! About 2 yrs. ago we had a tornado 2 miles away from us and that was too close for comfort for me.

TLC: I didn't think you were trying to sway my opinion, you don't seem the type... and I really do thank you for sharing the link. I may even share it with others... : ) Like I said, if he had shown more of that side of his performing skills during his stay on Idol, I might feel differently now. The feminine qualities in his vocals were still present, but less pronounced in that performance. It was easier for me to close my eyes and imagine a man instead of a woman was singing it, for much of the song. The thunderstorm got rather hellish... I was really glad I unplugged everything. At one point last night, there was a lighting bolt that seemed to have the light intensity of the sun itself... and the thunder crack that happened right after it was literally as loud or louder than a cannon. I jumped, my cats jumped... it was deafening. And it seemed to be right outside my back door. It was nuts for a litle while. Then I never turned my computer back on until late this afternoon and I found your note. : )

Let me tell you something .....when I first watched Adam Sing I thought the same way BUT as the show progressed it did not take me LONG to REALISE that there was much ARTISTRY in those screams and they were no EASY TASK !!! I am a Kris fan and a christian. I am so happy that Kris beat Danny as I did not want ot vote for Danny in the final. Kris is obviously better than Danny and Danny had no chance in heck of beating adam.Danny is too old to be an Ameican Idol. He's like 30 and isn't there an age limit? Kris will show he is better than Danny by beating Adam! This will prove the limitations of Danny Gokey and show Adam he can't always win! OMG i love kradam. Adam and Kris have been my favourites since the semi final rounds...although if i am to be completely honest i'm really hoping Adam wins AI! Adam fans, don't get complacent by the results of this poll, or any others you may have read. It is only a representation of a small portion of AI viewers and voters. Never thought a couple of months ago that it would have been Adam and Kris. Never! I always assumed a Danny Adam finale. I think it would have been more interesting, more competitive. But, I will watch and I will vote for who does BEST that night. I know most people base it on the entire body of work throughout the competition, but not me. I will decide Tuesday after they perform. I cannot see Kris outperforming Adam as I cannot remember one song, other than movie night, that Kris did. I remember all of Adam's and Danny's and Allison's! But, I'll give him a shot. I find it hard ot believe that he can top Adam in performance vocals though! Remains to be seen.

Oh, thank you, TLC. That's an awesome compliment. The moon is one of my favorite things to shoot. I have lots of photos of the moon, flowers, butterflies, and this morning I got some great close-ups of a male and female cardinal. The male was feeding sunflower seeds to her, and I got several great shots of them, looking like they are kissing. Where did your bunnies come from? They are adorable.

Hello to everyone from Romania. While I probably don't belong in this discussion since I cannot vote (although I voted on this forum :)), after reading most of your opinions I feel inclined to share with you my very own unbiased point of view. In Europe we don't have an American Idol, we just have Eurovision (similar level), which is a very controversial competition which proves that regional interests are sometimes above musical talent and which, of course we lose every year, mostly on merit. This year we had quite a nice song, but we still lost by a lot of points. But I digress...
I must confess this is the first time I followed AI, mostly on youtube and, after many googles, rickey.org and I enjoyed most of the performances. Of course, I also have a favourite, although I like both of the finalists for different reasons> I admire Kris' songwriter talent, I thought Ain't no sunshine and Heartless were brilliant, I admire Adam's powerful vocals and range and yes, he is entertaining. And there are things that I like less in both of them> Kris can be a little bland at times, has to build up more stage presence, Adam sometimes tends to show off to much and while he is concetrating on showing just how good he is, I kind of feel he doesn't care of what the public might feel like. For me, the winner will be the one who will convince me to pay the money for the album. From the AI past experience, being the AI doesn't mean that much if you can't do more than that. Finding the right writers team, the best songs for the album, that's the next big challenge.
I wish you all good luck, leave the hate aside because it does nothing for you or your chosen finalist. Just remember how Lennon died.

LOVE Adam! What a major talent! I thought a few of the others--especially Danny Gokey and Kris were/are rather dull performers,as well as Lil--though she seemed like she had potential. Adam is amazing: cool, fresh, current. I thought Allsion was great as well--just needed some refinement. She should have been 2nd place This is a great, fun show not to be taken seriosuly though. If poor Kris wins, he will be forever tarnished with the Taylor Hicks "Daughtrey should have won" label. Kris is sweet, but has not earned the title of AI. He has, however, earned the "most improved" title though! I think Allison or Danny should have been in the finale with Adam. Danny was boring because of song chocie, but could have done so well with soulful jazzy stuff. But so many people don't like Danny, so I don't know how that would have worked.

ADAM is great. All the AI judges just want america to vote for the ones with talent not the ones w/out and america feels sorry for. That's what american usually does. Always be voting for the one they feel sorry for.
The judges think adam should win because that dude got talent and vocal. Great onstage presence and great vocal - he can take an artist song and come up w/his own version and both original & his version are good...

Adam do have real talent-and he does not just care about himself. Sure he is cocky who wouldn't be when you have such a powerful voice like Celine dion & all the almight great legend singers like Aerosmith etc...

He is able to sing from soft rock to hard rock to a pop rock song. You give that dude any genre of music and he can rock it out to you.
Not alot of artist can pulled it off like he did..

Think about it-he can sing slow to fast and you'll love both version.

NLB: I'm not sure it's fair of you to assume that a vote for Kris is a 'pity vote' at this stage of the game. Clearly, Kris has a rather large fan base. As I have said in the past week, I have no horse in this race, no dog in this fight, since Danny went home. I won't be voting on Tuesday. But if I did decide to vote it would be based on my preference for vocal talent (which is the main reason I am not voting, as I far prefer Danny's voice to Kris or Adam's) There seems to be this need to force people to change their mind about their personal favorite. I don't understand that. Not only is there plenty of room for all of them, there are more than enough fans to go around. Even if Adam does lose to Kris, he'll lose nothing. That said, a win by Kris seems nearly impossible, since the judges and producers of American Idol have pushed all the elevator buttons on Adam's ride to the top, even going so absurdly far as to find a pop star that is an Adam fan and letting her come out on stage wearing a cape with his name on the back, BEFORE the finale. Even Justin Guarini (runner up from season one) thinks that isn't 'kosher'. It's this kind of blatant favoritism that ruins the basic premise of the show. It really shouldn't be permitted. And for seven years now, I have thought it's not cool to let the judges make statements about who THEY think will be a finalist, or who THEY think will win, until the competition is over. It's unfair to the other contestants.

You guys really should go to www.krisallenation.com. I'm sorry, but they have this device there called gizmo, which they are saying that adam fans use also, but that's not true, because this device wasn't even known about until Kris's website advertised it. Anyways, I just want all kris fans to know that it is a form of cheating and us adam fans intend to use fair voting methods. If kris wins this, it will not be because he is more talented, but because the competition is rigged. So adam fans, vote your hearts out, but vote fairly!

NLB: It most certainly IS blatant favoritism. They do it with several contestants each year, and then they really pour on the gas once it gets down to the final five. The judges should not be permitted to use certain phrases and words that show who they prefer. They are supposed to be there to assist with critiquing the vocals, nothing more. They should be made to behave neutrally until the end of the show. As for your comment, LIN FROM TX: I can see how you might think that I am 'sore', however far from the truth it may actually be. You see, I'm really just glad that Danny will be able to get started on creating a band and an album. Ever since the disastrous Clay/Ruben debaucle, I have never wanted the person I prefer to actually WIN the competition. I prefer they get to be the runner-up. But since you brought it up, yes, I do believe Danny was better than either of them and I would have preferred Danny to be the runner up instead. Danny is easily the more talented between he and Kris, by a LONG shot. IN MY OPINION.

Big deal--Kris had one or two good moments compared to Adam having a great moment nearly every week. No contest. Adam rocks!!!! I will buy all his albums. Would never buy any of the other contestants' albums. I had always watched 2 or 3 shows for each AI season, but this year, I have been glued to the TV and to the Internet to read, listen and watch anything related to Adam. I am over 50, btw. I am not in the US, but I discovered this week that I can vote for him :-) - I will be voting the whole 4 hours. Adams deserves to win because of his artistry, and because he is a gentlemen, intelligent, he shows wit when he speaks, and he is tenderly cute.

I have a friend that can trace IP addresses. I used to work for a company about 17 miles away from my home. I emailed that friend from my office and he wrote back and gave me the physical address of the server. It was ours. Our building, but only for the computer server equipment. The building where all the employees were housed was several miles away in another town. But I guarantee you that if any one of those 375 people would have e-mailed him, the server address would have been identical. So... while you can nail down an IP address, you can't decide much of anything from it, because if an IP service has 100,000 customers, any trace of an IP on each one of them will come back exactly the same for all 100,000 of those people. This is especially true of larger IP companies. It's hardly an exact science. But knock yourself out.

TLC: Well, the way it was explained to me, you need the person's e-mail address, ar an e-mail from them in order to do trace it. I don't have much to do with the mechanics of the internet... but that was how it was explained to me. So, it would be interesting to have this yappy jamoke try to produce anything at all that would convince me he knows what he is doing. But even if I were able to collect all the pseudonyms he has created, I'd probably just let it go, because I know he's a buttweed and I've accepted that.

Hi, TLC: I have to tell you... I would have gladly skipped tonight's show. It was a huge let down and a big disappointment all the way around. In fact, the highlight for me was Carrie Underwood... and that's just sad. Neither of them stood out for me... I was completely non-plussed by the song selections. 'Mad World' was the only song that Adam couldn't locate a place to scream his brains out in, and 'Ain't No Sunshine' was the only song where Kris didn't appear to be in the middle of a painful gas attack. My comments may not be very nice, but they are how I really feel about it. The show sucked. IN MY OPINION.

TLC and CK: For the record, I am not referring to you, or ANYONE specifically (with the exception of Wild Cat who is just plain offensive), actually, when I used the term 'deadbeats'... it was a random word, that landed in a not-so-random fashion... implicating the innocent. I apologize for that. But for me anyway, this who is who is who is who game is officially closed. Goofy crap.

So, the winner must sing and record this awful song, right? Mhhh, Perhaps none of them wants to be declared the winner by now... I mean, this song will be a painful first for Adam or Kris... Suggestions for the winner: 1) Record it and lauch it in vinil as a B side in the spirit of the old times where this music belongs. Who cares about B sides?! Even as an A side, listeners will go for the other song and you will save face 2) Diplomatically argue with the producers that the song is "too special" to be performed. Then record it as bonus track for your first CD. 3) Get a good lawyer and try to stop your obligation to perform this song through a local or federal court. You can argue that you will suffer irreparable moral damages

Not a big fan of A8 but from what I've seen of Adam is enough to show he should be the winner, hands down. If the producers screw with the results to create a dramatic Adam loss, it will be a shame. If the majority of votes aren't Adams, then America is all about generic looks and mediocrity IMO. We need to celebrate Adam's unique character and talent...

Grim~ I didn't like the show that much either last night. The song choices were terrible and I really didn't like the way either one sang them. Now it's hard to tell whose going to win tonight since they both didn't do that well in my opinion. And I know you didn't include myself and ck as deadbeats... we know the one's that are that. Why do you need a doctor's release... what happened?

Based on his body of work, the buzz and the renewed interest by viewers and media alike in AI this season, I'd say Adam deserves to win. He's the only reason I watched AI this year. Having said all that, I've been feeling for Kris lately. I mean, if he wins, he'll have to contend with the fact that some fans didn't vote for him to reach the final two as much as they voted for Gokey NOT to. Also, there are those who voted along religious lines after the finale rather than whose talent they most appreciated. No one deserves that kind of win, especially genuinely kind and humble Kris. Finally, should Kris win, will he always be overshadowed by Adam Lambert? Sort of like Ruben v. Clay. I've always felt kinda sorry for Ruben because his victory wasn't always complete, know what I mean?

I was able to start voting the moment they started the review of the show. About one minute before they announced that the lines are now open. After that, the lines to get through for Adam were jammed and busy for at least an hour and a half, maybe longer. A good sign for him! I am wondering what other voters experiences were while trying to vote for both Kris and Adam. Also, I thought the show was going well until they were forced to sing Kara's song " No Boundary". From the serious worried look on Kara's face at the beginning of the show, I get the feeling she knew people were not liking this song, and I hated it! If American Idol is smart, they won't make Adam or Kris put that on their CD's. I think it would hurt them both! What do you think?

QuietStorm - I found it so funny that Kara told people not to judge Kris on "No Boundaries" while agreeing with Randy that the song fits him better than Adam... By saying that she agrees that the song is a piece of trash that does no favour to neither of the contestants? I realized both Adam and Kris had pitchy problems with the "dream" note in the chorus... so odd.... and I agree with you that AI shouldn't make either of them have the song as their first single... certainly won't help with promoting their albums... Or if they insist on that I hope the two will be allowed to shake the song up a bit (especially for Adam)!

Nie : Did you vote, and if so, what was your experience? Did you have trouble getting through and for how long?

I'm not from the US so I can't vote :( But I read from IdolForums that some were getting mostly busy signals but managed to get in more votes as people start going to bed. But there are some who said they got through everytime. Maybe they start late?!

Nie; Thank you for your response and the information. I'm hoping that if enough people respond to this question of their voting experience we can get an idea of what the result will be tonight.

I think Kris is not that bad at all in terms of vocals. Honestly, the song that Kara composed (No Boundaries) really fitted him. His version is better than Adam’s even it was a little bit pitchy. But I will still give him Round 3. I think Simon was revoking his support to Adam in Round 1 just to look at him as unbiased in terms of judging…I don’t even think that Simon was right in giving Round 1 to Kris. I will give Round 1 and 2 to Adam… and Round 3 to Kris.

NIE: Actually, I do have more than one e-mail address... but I really only use the same one most of the time. In fact, I doubt I could remember the others without doing a bit of research through my stuff. And by initially using a secondary e-mail address for this site, I made a mess of my Gravatar switch when I used my primary e-mail for that. That's why only my recent posts show the avatar... because all my previous posts were made with my secondary. I didn't even think of that until I kept accidentally using the secondary on my new posts and no avatar would show up. Oh well... if it weren't that, it would be some other reason. The way I see it, it's their problem. It's been a complete physagogue.

TLC: I sustained an injury... it involved a patch of ice (on a steep slope in the darkness) and my knee. The good news is there will be no surgery at this time. And the doctor has said that I can resume 'limited but normal activities' beginning next Tuesday. Driving my car and some other things were just not workable for a while. Nothing that can't be mended. Yay. : ) My friend came over to watch the finale with me last night, and she all but nodded off during the show... she found it doubly boring. It was by far the worst finale they have had in several seasons. We were both disappointed.

Grimoire - I do have more than one email address too (I think most people do). But for me it's easy to remember as they are all just the same username with different providers. But in fact many message boards don't care if your email is a valid one or not and really I mostly give an invalid email address to avoid spam. Why would they need our email addresses anyway other than to send spam, they have our IP addresses for sure.

Nie: That's exactly why I gave them one I don't use often.. it has a great spam filter, too. I was concerned that was what would happen. Then when I signed up for the Gravatar, I decided I wanted them to be able to match it with my primary, so it will show up on other sites I visit. And naturally they have our IP's... that's a given. QuietStorm and NIE: I agree with both of you on all of your points! Since they had to choose songs off a list the entire seaon, it would have been great to hear what their own personal choice would have been! I seriously doubt either of them just burst into song singing something by Michael Jackson or Johnny Cash! And the producer's choice.... gimme a break! Both really POOR choices - Adam's peformance was good. But when the judges said he proved he could even sing "blues", what exactly did they mean? Was that a dig at Danny who was clearly the blues singer of the show. Anyway - while I thought it was a great performance, it sorta sounded more like gospel than blues to me. What's on the TWO SIMON'S agenda with choices like "One" and "A Change is Gonna Come" anyway? Only to be followed by a protest song... Kris' vocals were good and he attempted a "change up"..... I think it did the best he could given the song was too laid (layed???) back and didn't have much of a medley... It really minded me of Paula's lame choice for Danny - not much to work with. NEITHER of them should have been forced Kara's song - tough song for both. Adam had a problem hitting one or two notes and I've never heard him not hit any note before that. While I song better suited Kris' voice, it was painfully obvious that by watching his expressions, he was struggling hit those high ones. I listened to again without watching the video - and it wasn't as bad as it looked. Kris was singing from his throat to hit those notes, rather than his diaphram. I guess he didn't have any professional voice lessons, and if he did - he should definately ask for his money back! LOL That's where Adam's professional training made the difference and he was the winner on that song. Not to mention, that it didn't hurt his chances when Simon refused to judge him on that song but rather his entire season. Funny, that didn't stop all the judges from commenting Kris on that peformance but already handing him the consolation prize of "who would have thought you'd make it this far." They basically said, sorry you lost. At this point, I think it would be better if he come in second rather than his winning was based on those Brandy Bunch voters!

QuietStorm: The first 1 1/2 hours of voting, Kris' line was busy, busy, busy on all 3 lines. I only got in only about 10 votes. I figured that was 5 more than allowed on DWTS and decided to go to bed. Did you vote the entire 4 hours?

Grimoire13 & TLC: Yeah... thought last night would have been more exciting - I guess I expected to be really "WOWed." Even though I voted for Kris, gotta be honest... each week I watch with anticipation to see what he'd do next. But his performances seemed "toned down" as well has his appearance - shorter hair, less eyeliner (which didn't matter to me either way) and not playing to the camera like he usually does. Think someone told him to play it a little safer? Kris was Kris - doesn't he own anything other than white T-Shirts? Do either of you watch DWTS? Now that was a finale! But I was so disappointed with the result show....Gilles lost!

ck: Thanks for your response and input. When I couldn't get through on any of Adam's lines, I decided to back off with the logic that enough people are calling in and that it would be better to let the people get through that would possibly only vote for a short time in the beginning. I kept trying on occasion and would only get through once in awhile, then busy again. Somewhere around 9:30p.m. I fell asleep [not planned] and when I woke up, it was 10:45p.m.! Immediately I started dialing and got through over and over with no problem all the way up to midnight. I have no clear idea exactly when the jammed lines let up! Does anybody know? I just know they were jammed at least til 9:30.

In case it matters, I live in New Mexico and so I'm currently on Mountain Daylight Savings Time. American Idol got over at 8:00p.m. So my voting time went from 8:00 to midnight.

OK PGINDAHOUSE, as the judges, they are SUPPOSED TO JUDGE, not sit there and be neutral. That is the reason that they are actually THERE. And Kris would not last 10 minutes in the real music business, where Adam knows what he's doing and he can handle it. I don't think you even know what you're talking about when you say that Adam isn't as good because he hasn't played an instrument...HE DOESNT NEED ONE. Unlike Kris who would probably lose the key if he didn't have an instrument. Anyone who was in his position could do that. I do admit, they both have nice voices, but Adam is MUCH better.

TLC: Did you say you liked ACE? He was on Fox News this morning being interviewed. When asked who he thought would win, he said that last year at the finales (which I didn't watch, so I don't know how true this is) the judges and crowd seemed to favour David A. And he felt that upon hearing that everyone voted like crazy for David C. Based on that, he says Kris will win. - That's why I like the voting on DWTS, 5 votes per line limit. But that's based on popularity too. Even though Gilles had the highest juding scores for the season, Shawn won with the viewers. But I gotta tell you - all 3 couples were fierce for that show.

Adam all the way... you can ell if you look at my earlier posts. But it is in an opinion of style and i understand that not everybody likes adams style and Kris is talented.

Adam has it all going ON!!! He's dramatic, stands out, unique, awesome singer with incredible pipes- Chris is TOO MELLOW- I hate it when he's always biting on his lower lip. A nervous hang up or whatever, it doesn't look professional. He's got talent, but he can't sing every style out there. He's also attracting all the teenyboppers. What do they know about experienced talent, other than a young BOYISH face?

Adam has great vocals and i absolutely love his style. Yes he screams alot but that is what makes it so great. He strives to be different. Not the same pop boy band singer that kris is. Kris is boy band material. Yes he can sing. But not something that is going to keep people interested for very long. He is no different then many of the other artists out there. Compare his style and vocals to other male vocalists and there isn't much of a difference. Adams singing is effortless. Kris always looks like he struggles for the next note and his mouth gestures while he sings crack me up and get a bit annoying. GO ADAM. I see adam being the more successful of the two no matter what the outcome is.

i really hate homophobics. the only reason adam didn't win is because homophobics won't vote for a gay guy. just cause he's gay. he blew kris away! adam is gonna be the most successful artist to ever be on american idol. no one will ever have the talent of adam lambert. kris didn't win vocal wise. he won cause of those damn homophobics.

Get serious, ZDAWG. There isn't one person here that will ever actually KNOW the ONE SINGLE REASON why Kris won tonight... any more than anyone would be able to tell you why Ruben, Fantasia or Taylor won. Personal preference is a subjective thing. You can't file all of Kris' votes under 'homophobia'... it's unrealistic and irresponsible.

Chris cannot sing every style of music there is to offer. This is suppose to a singing contest, not to see how many instruments you can play. I'll be really DISSAPPOINTED if ADAM doesn't WIN!!!

this is beyong shocking. unbelieveable. i could accept a danny/ adam upset. but kris? did anybody hear kris sing this season? simon looked pissed. i have to assume this will be the end of idol. my god. unfortuante.

CK - Yes Kris sounded much better tonight! He was running around and just let it all go! And in fact, he looked as if he'd rather Adam win than to be placed under the spotlight. Still a shy and humble guy who thinks there are many people out there who are better than he is. Lol ummmm I'm not sure if I want to see Kara sing THAT song on stage... Simply because I DON'T want to hear the song for the 4th time!! But it was so good to see her tears up her stupid pride and "makes up" with the bikini girl in her underwears! The stupidEST moment on the result finale. GODDESS - Sorry to disappoint you, but "the guy that isn't Adam" (as put by VFTW) won... Think on the good side, he doesn't need to release No Boundaries as his first single! That is really something to be happy about!

OH MY GOD! This is just like the Clay=Ruben debacle, only worse! Kris is a nice guy with talent, but not outstanding talent, in my opinion! You can walk into coffee houses or lounges and find people of his caliber. I take comfort that at least Adam isn't saddled with that horrific song! If that is Kris's first released song, his fame will be short lived. I predict as Simon does, that Adam will greatly out sell Kris and easily go global with his fame and success. I just don't see that for Kris. Time will tell all!!! None the less, I congratulate Kris and his fans.

Yes guys...Kris won! And obviously people like his music if they voted that many times for him. I was actually hoping he wouldn't win and be under the AI collar, but nonetheless the kid is talented. People have to realize that not everyone likes that over dramatic screaming-type performance that Adam gives. I understand that he has a bigger voice than Kris, but that by no means would make me buy his record over Kris'. I just couldn't stand to listen to Adam through a whole CD. It would be that one long, high note again and again. But I respect the fact that he is talented. Congratulations to both of them, but I think the best man won!!!

Kara singing. What a freak-show. Not that her voice is necessarily 'bad'. Just that she is a nausea-inducing air-head with an agenda. Even during what should be 'normal conversation', she appears to be gnawing on the inside of her own cheeks. I've seen chipmunks with less of a speech impediment. And the way she tries to make her point seem so much more superior to anyone else on the judges panel. Why, oh WHY do we have to endure another season with this convulsive and manic surd?

Kris sucks. He really sucks. What a crap fest of a show to throw him the win. He was at least 8th or 9th in line if we consider talent. Go blow Kris. See you somewhere in oblivion in the not-so-far future. You are lucky that Adam is so nice ot you, you'll need it later when you are unemployed. You are also lucky that the other Idols seem to like you. Maybe they can throw you a bone when you are twiddling your thumbs. Your "oh shucks, mocked humility" personality has served you well. Enjoy working at Starbuck's in 2010 (that is..fi they have one in AR). hahahhaha.
