the riverfront should be kept open for public use and not "given" to any private enterprise or government agency. it should be a park with a nice pavillion and playground and exercise area. any restaurant, meeting building, or other special use facility will only limit the availability of the riverfront to the general public and would make it available only to those who can afford to pay the cost of the facility. it should be free for public use.
We're still trying to get the former owners of the River Station to open a restaurant in the bathrooms at River ('drug") Park. We're having some issues with health codes but we're working on it.
