Well he is a gang member.. in my point of view.. he has not rights!!! He is lucky he only got a kick. I would have beat him till I got tired..... Gang members are like roaches... they should have NO RIGHTS..

the fact that he is gang affiliated doesnt make richard rodriguez unhuman. Yes gangsters are known for damage and violent crimes in society, but the still remain human beings like all of us today. The police officer had no right to kick him in the head because he had already surrendered. Not only did he kick him, another officer also hit him on his side with an object that seemed like a flashlight or something. I think someone should take this issue further then what most people think and investigate because most officer think that because they are the law they can treat us something like animals and force themselves on us.
