hooooray! blackbird for the win! hahaha, too bad fail whale lovers. why you would want to name a beer with such a failing, negative connotation is beyond me. yaaay blackbird! now onto some design ideas...

Blackbird is simple, yes. Generic, I don't think so. Stolen? Fail Whale is stolen for sure. I like them both, honestly. But my vote is for Blackbird. Even if there are others by the same name, it seems to fit this one perfectly.

    Blackbird is Kinda Generic.....AND STOLEN

IT"S ALSO THE WELL KNOWN NAME OF "BLACKBIRD OATMEAL STOUT"-FLYING BISON BREWING COMPANY----IN NEW YORK STATE

AND ALSO "BLACKBIRD BLACK ALE"---IN MANCHESTER, ENGLAND

    FAIL WHALE ALL THE WAY!!!!

    LETS MAKE A DARK SPLASH.

ALL YOU HATERS TALKING ABOUT BLACKBIRD.........COME ON NOW........BLACKBIRD IS A NAME FOR A WOMANS DRINK.

True. Plus Blackbird would look great alongside Cutthroat on the tap line.

BlackBird is a lot more creative. Plus if you think about it black (dark beer yummy!) bird (twitter). it makes sense. Also you would be creating a whole new design not one that's copped from twitter's fail whale. You could come up with all sorts of neat things for a blackbird twitter graphic as opposed to a standard graphic already made (fail whale).

I've never seen any Fail Whale anything in any liquor store, plus people who know twitter will know that this beer came from it!

There was already a Fail Whale Pale Ale contest from the Fail Whale fansite. Let's do something original!
