Which way would you choose to have your portrait painted?

    I as a student of an Art School and a student of art history. My true answer would be neither. I don't think Mr. Copley, Reynolds, Stuart, Peale or Gainsborough would ask anyone's opinion of a portrait other than the sitter's and/or his or her's family. Did the artist indeed capture the true likeness of the subject. Now how this relates to Local Motors vision of indiviually designed cars seems a bit far fetched. I do , however, see the point. I would say this, that my point would come into play when after finishing the car of their choice the owner can stand back and see if the car they built captures their vision of the design they chose or concept that was invisioned. In the end who's opinion really counts the crowd or that individual?
