I keep wondering when the people of the midwest are going to wake up and realize we are in an energy bind that cannot be fixed with unreliable renewable sources. Are those who are so opposed to the Calloway plant and who opposed the Norborne coal plant AECI planned to build prepared for their substations to be turned off a couple of times a week because of inadequate "base-load" capacity? If we are really worried about our carbon footprint, why don't we start a "rolling black-out" system immediately to help reduce our use of energy and protect the environment. I nominate Jefferson City to be the first blacked-out. I would venture a gues that I could get a majority vote of the people of the state on that nomination!
