Bristol Borough IS getting a new school. Why? Because they took the time to engage their residents in the planning. 3 years worth of time, discussing the plan. (they didn't just pass a vote one night, in hopes that no one would notice)
That's what is referred to as honest local government! Everyone working toward the development and betterment of a community. Bristol used to be our equivalent, but because of the slick manuevers of the school board prior to the one we currently have, we've been kicked off the square. Our spirit has been taken from us, and thats what happens to people when they've been abused. The night they took that vote back in Nov. 2005, with out the proper public engagement, was the begining of the end of a town that was reasonably surviving as a small borough , on it's own, inspite of the ill- political influences involved with education. Now we have a group of members who have a lot of work to do. Infact , they take much abuse from the people, the ones who can't see that an injustice was served on this town 5 years ago. The recovery process sometimes involves years. The different stages, (with denial being the front-running stumbling block), are the steps needed to be faced and dealt with in order to find true freedom, from the initial offense. The best thing Morrisville can do is jointly come into agreement, we've been violated, and move on in a brighter direction.
