Did Police Use Excessive Force In Tom Tancredo UNC Speech Protest?

I think the behavior of these students is typical of what took place in Nazi Germany in the 1930s when Hitler vilified the Jews. And the leader of these students... a graduate student... what the hell does he think he is doing when he, in essence, suspends the U.S. Constitution at UNC-Chapel Hill? And where the hell is Bill Clinton's "hey boy", Erskine Bowles, who is in charge of everything at UNC? The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is giving the state of North Carolina a bad name. Of course, these students are merely parroting some of the elements of Barack Obama's philosophies. ACORN, MoveON, the ACLU, "Obama for President" groups, and UNC-CHAPEL HILL..... they are all the same people out of the same mold, and they are all out to destroy the middle-class in the United States of America.

It was not the police who were using excessive force but theprotesters who used the excessive force. The police were doing what was nessecary to protect the speaker even if it meant using pepper spray to keep him safe. The students put them selves in that postion of being peppered spray and honestly they looked ridiculus.

I am ashamed of the unc students and their radical liberal faculty. The students were out of control and needed to be pepper sprayed!! The students took away the speaker's freedom to speak. These student's obviously have never been taught any discipline or manners. Nothing requires more discipline than freedom. Our country is loosing it's freedom because of these brainwashed radical liberals that have no discipline. Our country needs rules and laws to maintain our freedom and foreigners coming to this country should follow our laws and rules. Those students need to be arrested. Nancy

Once again the tolerant left wing shows their true colors: fascist intimidation tactics to shout down opposing (and mainstream) viewpoints. I urge all students at UNC to fight against this attack on free speech and condemn the violence and intimidation used by the protesters at this and future events. I think that the admin and faculty had not thought through thoroughly the probable outcome of this event. It is their job to be leaders and teachers and they did not set the stage for a successful outcome. It was like the 60's all over again.
Do things the same way you get the same result. Students will be students.
As to the guest speaker, I guess any kind of publicity is better than no publicity.

i think that the cops should have taken the protesters outside and shot them because breaking windows is what nazis do. Especially people that care about poor minority people's suffering. If they were frat kids drunk on a friday or people setting the street on fire because of of a basketball game that's one thing but to care about people dying in the desert and to say something about it is nazi.
