call web dude and tell him to reboot the server...
Where's the "I'm the sysadmin, so I'll fix it myself" option?

I chose "other" because as the previous commenters, my first reaction, after it doesn't work for about 5 minutes, is to reset the modem and router. It always worked so far.
He simply said the connection was down - Using suspension of disbelief, we can extend this to mean that there is no way to restore your original connection. No restarting the modem/refreshing IP/etc.

This was written by a geek? Highly doubtful since the most obvious answer (see comment 1) was missing. I chose "other"

There is an option that is surprisingly missing from this list: "Restart your cable modem, router, and/or computer, or engage in other types of 'soft repair.'" I picked the "profanity laced tirade" option because that's usually what I'm doing while I'm digging through power cords and restarting my hardware.

Blast, just click on my name, and it'll take you to the picture.
I get up and walk away from the computer for a while. It's usually a sign that it's time to go outside.
I consider suing for lost pots.

Option 8 - Test and verify connectivity at every point from the computer to the modem's phone port, and then call the ISP and ask what's up.
Say FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU like 4chan rage. :D
I'm with those guys. The modem lights go off, and I'm crawling under my desk to hunt the wild wall wart. Option OTHER for me.
If, however, this does not solve the problem, I'm reaching for my cell phone to bitch at my ISP.
Umm, how about a "network troubleshooting" option? WTF?
